    I read an article yesterday that said Vegas is having to downsize all the Mega Resort plans for now for lack of const. materials. Said 18 mths ago China bought 50% of the worlds scrap metal and ore. Look out for them Well, they just closed the Stardust in plans to build the ECHELON PLACE. Could there be any more of a pretentious name? Anyway, 5k + rooms, not open till 2010 - better get some nails and plaster somewhere Trust me. I know. I'm headed that way soon. Hate to stand around making 2k a week waiting for materials.     I was making good (decent) money as a const. worker in my early yrs. Then came RR. The bottom dropped out. Took me yrs. to recover. So much for the little guy that works his ass off.     And depending on how the fiasco in Va goes, dubious electronic voting schemes could turn into a massive windfall for dems. It may be impossible to conduct a recount of ballots in Va because they don't require a paper trail. All they can do is tally up the aggregate figures from the districts that used touchscreens. In contrast to Montana, where the state-mandated paper trail could have been used to recount the actual ballots in the event of a dispute (although a dispute does not appear to be possible in Montana due to the margin of victory). Windfall as in the Dems possibly taking control of the Senate as a result of the inability to recount Va paperless touchscreen ballots.
