I haven't made a base jump since Bridge Day '05, and I doubt I will ever make one again. I sold my base rig a few weeks ago. I haven't made a skydive since my home DZ closed up back in late October '05, and I'm unsure if I'll ever jump again at this point. I have not sold any of my skydiving gear as of yet, but I won't say that the thought hasn't crossed my mind. I spent 7 years of every weekend at the DZ rain or shine. I lived, ate, breathed, and slept skydiving. I think being a TM and not doing many fun jumps over the last couple of years sorta sucked the juice out of me. It became work instead of fun. If I spent a weekend away from the DZ, I felt like I was letting others down. Mayb e the bug will bite me back, but at this point I'm unsure. All I can say is I love skydiving, and have no regrets, but I have discovered that there is more to life than just skydiving. Keep balance no matter what you decide. Ganja

Have you priced flying into TWF? My last trip out, it was actually cheaper than the flight into SLC... Funny thing is, it was the same flight into SLC from the East coast, and an extra flight on a turbo-prop form SLC to TWF... Odd how that works out, add an extra plane ride and the price went down. I know it's an expesnive piece of equipment and all, but isn't the real issue here that the acid will eventually eat through the webbing and potentially kill the person it is suppoes to be supporting? I understand the whole Darwinism theory and all, and completely agree with it. BUT, how many people out there are jumping a used rig that this could have been done to and may fail at any given time in the future? Ganja

2 years seems to be the magic number in insurance. If you lie to the underwriters, the payout could be null and void. I've always heard that after 2 years, that rule is out the window. So get some insurance now, and be ultra-safe for the next 2 years...
