Well, I'm about sick and tired of rain coats. I've got all the kids I want. No use in the wife having to remember to take a pill everyday... So, Id like to hear the pro's and con's from the male and female point of view. Ganja "I neutered the dog, why not myself" Rodriguez

Seeing as how he didn't shoot himself in the head, must have been the Mike Myers version...

When you find the model you want, use pricegrabber.com to find the best deal on it. I saved about $500 over the local store on my 42" LCD Westinghouse, while my neighbor overpaid about $300 locally for his 32" Sony LCD Ganja

Nah, that's just innovation.... lol Ganja

Yep. That is a Honda. Try getting that kind of mileage out of a GM or Ford without major repairs. Hey now, My 2001 Chevrolet 2500HD truck with the Vortec 8100 has just over 205,000 with no major troubles at all. The only repairs I can think of are an a/c compressor, a cam shaft sensor and a crankshaft sensor. Other than oil changes and general maintenance stuff, this is the only stuff that has ever been done to the truck. Ganja

I've got this week covered, but just to go ahead and do some planning, how are the US plauers getting money onto thier accounts these days?
-
Varies widely... Just look at the itenerary when booking and you'll have all the details. Another tip, if the ship leaves your home port at 4, you can usually board around noonish, make the most of it. No use in getting on at the last minut, start your vacaio a few hours early.

Tampa is an excellent port to leave from. Going under the bridges and such is pretty friggin cool in my opinion. Miami is like the cruise capital of the world, so they would have the most options for sure. I've never ledt from Jacksonville, but plan to in the future. Jax is only about a 5 hour drive for me, where Miami is about a 12 hour jaunt. Personally, I no longer wish to fly to a cruise port. The savings on liquor in the duty free shops id very good, but you can;t have liquids in carry on bags anymore.... FYI you cannot take liquor onboard with you, but you can take a re-fillable water bottle. They will check your bags that you carry onto the ship with you, but not your big suitcases and such that you check with the stewards. Use that information as you wish.... Ganja

It's not a matter of price, it's all about what you get for the money......

I totally agree with that statement, it's pretty reasonable for what you get.

Check out www.vacationstogo.com I have not used them, but they seem to have some pretty good deals. I'm pretty sure I'll use them for my next cruise. Also, you can put money onto your cabin account ahead of time if you want to spread out some of the costs. How much you'll spend depends highly on shore excursions and alchohol consumption. We don't do many shore excursions, most of them are way overpriced. You can usually find the same tours at the port when you get there for 1/2 the price, but they're not "cruiseline approved" and you need to be careful. I thin the most fun I have ever had was on DZ cruise with Taylor610 when we went out on a booze cruise to Dunn's River falls in Jamaica and then one of the guys there took us around in his cab for several hours afterwards bar hopping and such. He kept the local beggars away from us and took very good care of us. Of course he was compensated well too. Ganja

Skinny, I've been on several cruises, and honestly, it depends on what you want in a cruise. If there are any kids going, Disney is by far the best! But, there is not a casino on their ships.... If you want a less formal environment, Carnival is the one that caters to that crowd. Dinners are not quite as dress up, but it is also the most popular for teenagers and senior cruises and such. Royal Carribean, which is probably my favorite, is mostly a younger middle aged crowd. All cruises nickel and dime you to death once you are onboard. As long as you know what to expect upfront, it's not a big deal at all. Expect to pay resort prices for beer and other adult beverages. For the non-drinkers or those that will drink, but not alot, buy the Beverage card. It's a card that give you unlimted soft drinks, only catch is, it's only good at certain places. All ships use a cashless system, you use your room key and charge everything to your room. If your on a budget, keep your reciepts and a running tab of what you are spending. I highly recommend pre-paying for your gratuities and as much stuff as you can. On-board casinos will let you charge chips to your room, but they do charge a small fee for the service. If you want to save the fee, carry cash for gambling. Some people avoid carrying large amounts of cash by just charging it to the room. And most of all, SHOP ONLINE for your cruise. There are plenty of places online that allow you to save a ton of money when booking. Ganja

What? No Tim Horan and the skydive band?

If I had to guess, I'd say Johnny was giving everyone on the ground the finger as he died in mid-air. Johhny, you will be missed by many, but forgotten by none! Ganja

FYI Neteller no longer supports US customers. If you need funds for the evening, good luck finding a way to get them there. I had to sit down at a cash table and turn my $7 into $11 jiust to buy in tonight... Ganja

I don't know what you do for a living, but I hope you're not a doctor... That's just one of those a doctor shouldn't say around a patient. Scott -

So when do I let my son know that jumping off
pullhigh replied to SkydiveStMarys's topic in The Bonfire
Must be a Chevy. My truck cuts out at that speed too. I've got a 2500HD 4x4 crew cab with the 8.1 in it and can't go past 96. I'm ok with it though, cause I don't think the tires are rated for that sort of speed anyway. Ganja -
So when do I let my son know that jumping off
pullhigh replied to SkydiveStMarys's topic in The Bonfire
Well, it depends on the seriousness of his injuries... Either on the way to the ER, or while waiting for the ambulance to arrive.... Ganja -
Yes, I found some instructions to the childrens game, but as far as the shot glass version, which is what I have, goes when are you supposed or better yet not supposed to drink... lol At the rate I'm going, I can't afford to keep filling the shot glasses....
