  10. 'I was going to a Democratic Party meeting. A man was selling puppies. His sign read: Democratic puppies for sale. Two weeks later, I was going to a Republican meeting. The same man was selling the same puppies but this time the sign read: Republican puppies for sale. I said to the man, "hey these are same puppies you were selling two weeks ago as Democrat puppies" He replied " Yeah but now their eyes are open."' Ronald Reagan -circa unk.- -
  11. Baah ha ha--ROFLOL- ---------------------------- Why is PMS called PMS? Mad Cow Disease was already taken. -Bob-
  12. Like in Waco? Andy Andy Andy, You constantly re-enforce my dislike for your lack of compassion. Waco was not about religion, it was about malignant narcissism. Weather we are taking about Hitler, Stalin, Manson, Jones or Koresh; groups of dis-affected people are easily swayed by maniacal 'leaders'. An evil man with a bible is more dangerous than one with a gun. -Bob- -
  13. I started the thread in speakers' corner just to let folks know what was up. Now that he has passed; it would probably be good to close it and open a memorial in either forum and your standard ass-ragging can go on in another. --Too much time on my hands-- Bob
  14. I was always taught ' do not speak ill of the dead'. But, I realize that some people weren't taught manners. How about a 5 day moratorium on Reagan bashing. After the poor man is in the ground; then let the haters hate. Quick note: I really disliked Nixon when he was President, mainly because I thought he was a paranoid with no heart. When I saw the way he blubbered and broke down at his wife, Pat's funeral;I grew up and realized that he was just a poor lonely old man who lost the love of his life. -Have a heart!- Bob

  16. ...if your man changed the channel on the remote while you were performing oral sex?
  17. The girls that live downstairs from me smell like bacon and eggs in the morning and steak most nights. I find that very attractive. -Bob-
  18. At least it is mytaste, not someone elses tastes than were brainwashed into me! The funny thing about this tread is, my opinion of Jamie Lee has been the same, long before True Lies. That scene really grossed me out and I don't gross easy.
  19. Sounds like a challenge to all the 20something hotties out there! OK ladies go home tonight and prove Ivan wrong.
  20. Cool, but you were right about one thing. Not all people in California are 'stoned out surfers', but give me time, I'm working on it! Blue skies, Bob
  21. I thought I was clear, but maybe not. I lived in Mississippi and Louisanna. My mother's family is from the Ozarks. I have ancestors that were biggoted rednecks; but thats not me. I saw the busing start, was in the school riots and was badly beaten by a large group of black kids in 7th grade. Did that make me a hater? No!! I love the diversity that is America and understand some of the conflicts. However for you to grab, out of context, one statement only enforces what I said eariler. Hmm I am resisting the urge to return the insult, but I will say that either you did not understand my post or you just look for any opportunity to start shit. -Bob-
  22. I enjoyed your well thought out post. I grew up in the midwest, lived in the South and also New Orleans, am currently residing in S.Cal. I have traveled all over Europe. I don't think most people hate America; I think most Americans believe they do though. There are arrogant rich vacationers everywhere, America just has more per capita than most countries. I cringe everytime I see some over-fed, over jeweled, old couple treat some poor sap like a slave. "Take their money and smile" is my attitute. In the same vein; We Americans are taught since birth that we are special. Instead of being graceful many are just arrogant. The policies of our government and the abuses by american companies make matters worse. All groups, wheather countries, races, even different skydive disaplines are suspicious, envious, and confused by outsiders. Hell I think freeflyers are all spike head freaks but I love what they have done for/to the sport. The W.Va.--Cali. metaphor can work the other way too; Europe looks at America as a bunch of upstart ignorant hillbillies. Nothing in America, including our culture is more than 300 years old. Europe has thousands or years of history. All in all; I believe in the myth that is America. and I alot of the outside world does too.
