Oh contrair! We know evolution exists. Anyone who breds dogs will tell you that, but to say that we are the product of natural selection that stated with a few chain of proteins requires the faith of Job. That makes Darwinism a religion. Science and God are not mutually exclusive of each other. Science is the study of the physical universe. It requires repeated tests and experiments to prove a theory. Religion is the study of God, and how HE relates to our existance in the universe. Science does not know even if basic life can be created out of dead matter let alone prove an uninterrupted chain of evolution (survival of the fittest) resulted in what we experiance today. It is possible;I believe damn likely; that evolution is a tool used by God. One thing is for sure no-one knows. That is where faith come in. People who say they know are idiots. Does a acorn evolve into a oak. Does a 12year old evolve into a teenager. Or could all this part of a grand scheme we all way to ignorant to even begin to understand. Athiests like to look at the parable of 'the seven days' and 'great flood as proof that the bible is full of shit. The big bang is beyond even our best scientists. Will the universe continue to expand or will gravity pull it all back into the big crunch. What happenes then and how in Sam Hell does that matter to us today. The bible; which is compilation of ancient writings, is crammed full of wisdom that is very pertinant today. There are mysteries we don't even know we don't know. When you expain 'Where did i come' from to your child, do you explain X&Y chromosones or do you use an analogy that he will understand? The glorious thing is that Bible contains analogies that are still relative today. ----------------

One last Quote (Thank God huh) Romans 1: 20 Ever since the creation of the world, his invisible attributes of eternal power and divinity have been able to be understood and perceived in what he has made. As a result, they have no excuse; 21 for although they knew God they did not accord him glory as God or give him thanks. Instead, they became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless minds were darkened. 22 While claiming to be wise, they became fools ----- W.C. Fields on his deathbed W.C. why are you reading the bible,I thought you didn't believe. " Just check'n for loophoooles" ------

I was not claiming to have complete understanding but a knowledge of God. But if you are truely seeking truth you could always ask Pontius Pilate ( John 18:37,38 ) Freedom of religion is not the same as freedom from religion. -------------

Religion is man seeking after GOD. For someone to say that there is no God one must be omnipotent; because there is knowledge outside of ones self. A little word of warning: Psalm 2- 10 And now, kings, give heed; take warning, rulers on earth. 11 Serve the LORD with fear; with trembling bow down in homage, Lest God be angry and you perish from the way in a sudden blaze of anger. Happy are all who take refuge in God! -Bob-

One more thing: For a human to deny the existance of GOD makes about as much sense as a fish denying water or a skydiver denying the existance of air. So there!

And furthermore. How is GOD a religion? Is mother nature or father time. I believe HE is an entity. The way you worship HIM may be a religion. GOD knows?! God can variously be defined as: the proper name of the one Supreme and Infinite Personal Being, the Creator and Ruler of the universe, to whom man owes obedience and worship; the common or generic name of the several supposed beings to whom, in polytheistic religions, Divine attributes are ascribed and Divine worship rendered; the name sometimes applied to an idol as the image or dwelling-place of a god. The root-meaning of the name (from Gothic root gheu; Sanskrit hub or emu, "to invoke or to sacrifice to") is either "the one invoked" or "the one sacrificed to." From different Indo-Germanic roots (div, "to shine" or "give light"; thes in thessasthai "to implore") come the Indo-Iranian deva, Sanskrit dyaus (gen. divas), Latin deus, Greek theos, Irish and Gaelic dia, all of which are generic names; also Greek Zeus (gen. Dios, Latin Jupiter (jovpater), Old Teutonic Tiu or Tiw (surviving in Tuesday), Latin Janus, Diana, and other proper names of pagan deities. The common name most widely used in Semitic occurs as 'el in Hebrew, 'ilu in Babylonian, 'ilah in Arabic, etc.; and though scholars are not agreed on the point, the root-meaning most probably is "the strong or mighty one."

I work in customer service. Half of my day is wasted on the phone or at the counter dealing with unreasonable people or someone wanting free advice. I just got finished with a woman who did'nt want to pay $24.00 for an electronic repair. I time I spent explaining and re-explaining could have been used repairing several other people's equipment. I gave it to her no charge; and she still was unhappy because the free repair was not warranteed. I thing these people should come with WARNING-ASSHOLE tattooed on their forehead. That way we know ahead of time what we are dealing with. Caller ID should come w/ the same same warning. -----

opening you mind in the same way as drinking gasoline and shoving knitting needles repeatedly in your ear if you want to be an addict, then admit it and enjoy it - no probs. But 'opening your mind' is that much BS to rationalize self destruction. Now, who wants to go to the bar with me and drink ourselves silly? You totally missed my point. Alcohol is the 3rd worst drug in my book. #1 cocaine, #2 tobacco. My reply was about kids and the 'just say no' program, which I totally support. Drugs are a personal option. I choose to smoke weed, cigarettes, drink moderately and an occasional hallucinogen( aided by Jimi Hendrix Electic Ladyland). Anything can be addictive incuding skydiving. The only problem with an open mind is it gets kind of drafty. ------

When the Court is in session, the 10 a.m. entrance of the Justices into the Courtroom is announced by the Marshal. Those present, at the sound of the gavel, arise and remain standing until the robed Justices are seated following the traditional chant: “The Honor-able, the Chief Justice and the Associate Justices of the Supreme Court of the United States. Oyez! Oyez! Oyez! All persons having business before the Honorable, the Supreme Court of the United States, are admonished to draw near and give their attention, for the Court is now sitting. God save the United States and this Honorable Court!” -------------

Nancy Reagan was asked by a reporter what should a child do when preesured to use drugs. Her bewildered reply, " Just say no!" She was attacked in the media as being out of touch for such a unrealistic reply. Well like many simple answers to difficult problems; it actually caught on, and is now a mantra for the anti-drug folks. President Reagan's anti-drug stance actually worked. Many children during the 1980's looked at dopers as lowlife losers. I, myself love to get wasted but would never recommend it to someone who has never used drugs. Drugs, while opening the mind, closes opportunities. -----------------

Rude!! You mean like purposely posting hurtful things on a thread that was originally created to post memorials. Or maybe lurking someone's dialog and then personally attacking them for their views. kallend is one of the worst offenders. Vigorous debate is heathy, graffitti is not. What amazes me is the same people who condemn our brave soldiers for making terrorists; who by the way have raped, murdered, burned and really totured innocent people; parade around naked. Take off your shit colored glasses, look at the reality and grow up. -Bob- --
