  2. When you start down the hill on the rollercoaster you are starting your acceleration at zero and speed up rapidly. When you leave an airplane you are already going 90 - 100mph. You have very little acceleration. In fact you actually slow down a little on exit. never pull low......unless you are

  5. "There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call ... THE Silent Thread." never pull low......unless you are
  6. Q: Kind of like what they do in China? A: Don't go comparing China to Iraq. China is a good economic competitor, where millions of people work for slave wages in sweatshops to make U.S. corporations richer. Or maybe it's not worth risking the end of the world trying. never pull low......unless you are
  7. 18. You have to believe conservatives telling the truth belong in jail, but a liar and sex offender belonged in the White House. -Who are the jailed conservatives this refers to? Show me a president that hasn't lied. I don't think that the statement said that there was any conservatives in jail. Even if I was to accept the notion that all presidents lie, it doesn't mean that it should be condoned. never pull low......unless you are

  13. Interesting question. I've been working at dz's for years. In that time I've seen some pretty gruesome injuries. Not once did it ever occur to me to quit the sport. I've been jumping over 20 years, luckily without any more than the usual bumps and bruises. Injuring myself would not stop me from skydiving, but maybe the reason for the injury might. never pull low......unless you are

  19. I was living close to a dz when I was young. I got the bug when I was 5 or 6 years of age. Didn't jump until I was 23 (1981). As soon as I landed I wanted to kick myself for wasting 5 years. I could have jumped when I was 18. never pull low......unless you are
  20. It makes me wonder how such a thing can happen in a country as advanced as France. From what I hear France isn't that advanced. Just a step up from being a third world country. never pull low......unless you are

  24. I started my jumping in Indiantown (1981). It was a nice place to jump. 7000' grass runway. South Florida Parachutes Inc. (SFPI) was owned by Paul Poppenhager. He's retired from the dz business, but I stay in touch with him. I used to be married to his daughter so I spent some time with him. He has some good stories from the real "old days". If you PM me I'll get a message to him. By the way, the rule was cans only so that when you threw them from the plane it wouldn't cause any damage. never pull low......unless you are
