  2. IMO the original intent of this thread was to try to win an argument that you couldn't win in another thread. never pull low......unless you are

  6. Although the wire is very difficult to see, the poles it is strung on are quite easily seen....... line of tall poles = 'bad' just my .02$ Roy Unless they are in a tree line. never pull low......unless you are
  7. This time, we didn't consult the other folks on the playground. While they may agree that the particular person needed to get put in their place, they are frightened by our reckless unilateral action, wondering if we are resposible enough to only act against those that really deserve it. The US did consult with the UN. The UN didn't have the courage to back up their own resolutions. At that time the US put together a sizable coalition and freed the Iraqi people. Nothing to apologize for. never pull low......unless you are

  13. Yeah no kidding need I remind everyone of OJ? Excellent example. never pull low......unless you are
  14. I consider landing on or near a road dangerous. Every Aff instructor in the country trains their students to land it the middle of a field to minimize the chance of hitting any obstacles (especially power lines). I should never have used Rogers collision as an example however. I didn't realize at the time how much it would distract us from the original point. never pull low......unless you are
  15. It's easier to predict power lines along the road than it is to predict traffic in the landing area? You should always do that full circle of awareness check while under canopy. never pull low......unless you are
  16. I'm going to have to look at that picture again. I didn't see any of that. Yes I was being sarcastic. Actually I think that you have a good attitude about this subject. I just didn't think that just because she got his car doesn't mean he was an asshat. It might just mean that she had a better lawyer. never pull low......unless you are
  17. The point that I was making was that someone ran into someone. It doesn't matter who. The one that ran into the other one did not see an obstacle in time to prevent hitting it, regardless of who it was. Also the obstacle that was hit was easier to see than a power line. never pull low......unless you are
  18. Hey Sunny, I'll fill you in a little secret.... to us, its you Americains that are the foreigns.... So? never pull low......unless you are
  19. O'Reilly is usually a pretty reasonable guy. The above example is NOT an example of that. As I said, he lost his cool, and that happens to everyone now and again. But one example compared to how many opportunities? I've seen him get really upset and disgusted by something someone says, and yet, he's is 99% of the time able to shrug it off and "let the viewers decide". Well said. O'Reilly doesn't mind letting them state their opinions, but he doesn't tolerate rhetoric. never pull low......unless you are
  20. I heard somewhere: If you are young and a conservative, you have no heart. If you are old and a liberal you have no brain. never pull low......unless you are

  22. See, I assume the previous owner of vehicle in question must've done something horrendous (like spend a week in bed with the girls at the Playboy mansion) to earn such punishment. I'm going to have to look at that picture again. I didn't see any of that. never pull low......unless you are
  23. I wasn't attempting to assign fault to either jumper. They were both experienced canopy flyers and regardless of who's fault it was, the fact remains that it is easier to see a jumper under canopy than it is to see power lines and they still collided. never pull low......unless you are
  24. I had the same thing happen to my new Sabre (early nineties). It had less than 200 jumps on it. PD blamed it on packing but repaired it for free. The good part was that it happened on a beach jump in Sebastion and all the whuffos lined up to buy me drinks so that they could talk to me about it. never pull low......unless you are
