  1. To do what you're describing .htaccess would work very well, and be dirt simple to implement. If your host is using Apache for their web server, and you are able to telnet (or SSH) into your account, you should be able to use this method.
  2. Ten threads a day for four years?
  3. I prefer nerd if it's all the same to you.
  4. What would this do to nomenclature? Would North America and South American continents be renamed? Would would the Upper Peninsula of Michigan become the Lower Peninsula? Yeah, you folks on the larger peninsula would still be "trolls!" I think the real problem here is that we hang maps on walls instead of putting them on the floor where they may more accurately align themselves with reality. Besides, with a floor map, it affords you the opportunity to shout, "Take that Wisconsin!" when you discover your pet has defecated on the dairy state.
  5. While this is true, I must call your attention to figure A, where we examine awesomitude as a function of badosity. Region A (the linear region) is where most common movies operate, bad is bad, good is good, and everything is simple. As you get into Region B, the "bad movie effect" results in an inflection point, and the movie gets more enjoyable. In fact, if the director plays his cards just right, you can end up a higher awesomitude than with a badosity of zero. Region C is the saturation region where things start to collapse. The mind reels, sense cannot be made of what's going on, and it is wise to stop the film before you have a coronary.
  6. Yeah, I didn't figure maps like that got used with any regularity. If I could find a nice looking one that was actually up to date politically, or perhaps a topographical version, I'd still like one. Unfortunately, as you point out, most of them seem to be high-volume tourist crap.
  7. I kinda want a map like this.
  8. Dude... I dated Phil Tucker's (Director) daughter a few years ago. I met her mom and we talked about all this guy's movie making pursuits. Funny as hell but the guy had some passion. lol From what I understand, Robot Monster was so bad, and was met with such derision from critics, that Tucker tried to kill himself.
  9. I made this, but then got bored playing with it. If it's on the right track, maybe someone else can use it.
  10. Robot Monster I'm not fucking around... this movie hurts.
  11. I was at the game Friday. ...then I was at the game Saturday ...then I didn't have tickets to Sunday's game
  12. YOU should look into RW. You may like it. It involving touching people quickly in areas that you don't normally touch. Edited to show something that looks so wrong. Some RW moves look FUNNY. (It was a really bad angle...) Very true... but that's not limited to RW.
  13. *points* ha ha I've found that stopping long enough to give a nice wave off usually does the trick.
  14. Wait... what if my name was already Dorfus Pottysniffer... I guess I'm stuck with it.

    relaxing

    1) Get yourself a good pair of headphones (reference/remix/studio monitor) 2) Turn out the lights 3) Lay down, but don't close your eyes. Just stare at the ceiling. 4) Listen to a song you like on repeat 5) Notice everything about the song you've never paid attention to before
  16. Is it because I look pissed off in my avitar? ...I think it's because I look pissed off in my avitar. I need to adopt girlfalldown's signiture line
  17. I think you have four ugly sides... and for a square that's batting 1.000
  18. Alternatively, you could graduate, start working in industry, and continue going to school. That way when you get done with finals during a given semester, you have a week or two where all you have to worry about is work until the next classes start up. It's like graduating over and over again!
  19. I see you guys jump in tornados as well.

    studying for GRE

When I took the GRE, the computer wasn't that subtle about it. The verbal section would fire out... lugubrious : doleful :: a. banal : insipid b. tractable : recalcitrant c. pensive : vacuous d. profligate : miserly e. tangible : illusory and I'd think about it for a bit, but not being quite sure what lugubrious means, I was going to have to guess, so I pick b... then the computer thinks about my answer and comes back with... The cow says... a. woof b. quack c. oink d. moo e. meow
