Oh, I see. Thanks for clearing that up. Next Mood Swing: 6 minutes

Actually, I think we're omnivores. http://www.tiscali.co.uk/reference/encyclopaedia/hutchinson/m0006851.html I don't know much about PETA, but aren't they advocating the humane killing of animals, fish etc. rather than actually becoming vegetarian? Next Mood Swing: 6 minutes

It's just that you go on and on about something that is explained to you over and over again. It seems like just because something is different to what you are used to, it must be wrong. Even when the British tell you that we really don't mind about our laws, infact we see them as a good thing, you still don't leave it alone, whereas it seems that the others who berate the British laws leave it after they see the responses. Also, you're pretty derogatory, more so than most, about the British in general. Don't know about anyone else, but its pretty hurtful for me that an American (i.e. from a country that, on the whole, I respect) thinks those things about a country I love, and the people of that country. Teehee! Next Mood Swing: 6 minutes

Wow! That'd explain why Texans (at least the one's I've met) have all been so polite! Teehee! Although I'm not infavour of having the same laws over here (Britain). I don't care what Americans/Texans want with regards to weapons over there and I think most Brits feel the same way?

Sorry for replying to this when you were addressing Rebecca. Its great that most of us are repulsed by this sort of behaviour, and, more generally fucking up the planet, and as that's the case, I wish most of us would do something about it. However, as we're not, I can see Rebecca's view that the world would be better off without us. Next Mood Swing: 6 minutes

Ok, firstly, the whole about everything happening for a reason. That's your opinion, and I respect you for holding to your view, and I don't have the same one. I'd love you to give me an example of a reason. Although I agree that none of us can know the whole effect our lives have on other people, I believe that that is not a good enough reason to keep someone alive that wants to die. I, personally, believe that any positive effect someone could have is outweighed by the negative one they are receiving by being kept alive. The last statement 'its all about us' feels good, it feels right from where I'm coming from, and it doesn't go against my view that someone who wants to die should be allowed to do so. I know that I'd have to care very little for someone to keep them alive against their wishes. Next Mood Swing: 6 minutes

Oh crikey, you're calling my bluff now. Next Mood Swing: 6 minutes

Um, not to denigrate the analogy of the Redwoods but its kinda worse, pain was involved too - "The Irish Seal Sanctuary said the seals -- most of them pups -- appeared to have been bludgeoned, shot or had nails driven into their heads. Some had been disemboweled." Poor things, I agree with Rebecca, far better for the world if humans became extinct. Next Mood Swing: 6 minutes

Just a little anecdote with reference to the 'you'll believe in God at the end'. I was involved in an RTA, fractured this, that and the other. I was (apparently, can't remember) in quite a bit of pain (bit of a wuse) and, thus, was begging to be allowed to die. Apparently I didn't ask for God once, and that's from a good Catholic girl! Next Mood Swing: 6 minutes

Ok, more extreme. Still not sure how its more extreme. As far as the point you're making, why on earth would making someone stay alive, in distress (for whatever reason) be what 'God' or anyone else wants? Next Mood Swing: 6 minutes

I know you were referring to everyone, and I know there is a dictionary definition, but my take is: Euthanasia - assisted suicide, when the patient/victim/whatever the definition, is unable to take their own life. Suicide - when the person is able to take their own life. But as well as that: Euthanasia - when there is no chance of recovery. Suicide - when there is. Just my opinion. Next Mood Swing: 6 minutes

'Higher' level? Please elaborate. Just for the record, I believe that noone would choose to die unless they really, really wanted to. Its not a decision that anyone, imo, would take lightly. If someone has gone that far down the line of no longer wanting to be alive, then one can only subject them to suffering and pain by denying their wish to die. I don't believe that [insert deity of choice here] would want that. Next Mood Swing: 6 minutes

Seems to me that it'd be pretty selfish of those around me to not allow me to die. Next Mood Swing: 6 minutes

It seems to me that the reasons people have for being against euthanasia are: 1. Death is the worst thing that can happen to anyone, and; 2. Doctors want to kill their patients. Next Mood Swing: 6 minutes

Good point. Maybe I'll just put an image up of me in my S&M gear? Next Mood Swing: 6 minutes

Actually, that's 'her' not 'his'. I may not be picky about people thinking I'm gay, but I have issues about being thought a man Next Mood Swing: 6 minutes

Ah, sorry, I obviously haven't expressed myself clearly enough. I was trying to say that everyone should be treated equally. I don't believe that NAMBLA is relevant to the discussion as the p word is illegal across the board for reasons that I am not allowed to go into because it would mean discussing something against the rules, as you previously, so rightly, stated. I said difference in population. As in the magnitude of the minority. We can not appease everyone. We can't make laws to include Everyone. We have Inalienable rights... those are designed for everyone. Oh, I see. You're right, I misunderstood it and did take it out of context. However, as an example of the size of the minority not mattering, black children and disabled children are still a very small minority in many schools in the country I live, but they are no longer bullied for the colour of their skin or their impairment because it is now considered 'normal' to be a different colour to white it is now considered 'normal' to not be non-disabled. So that argument doesn't reallly stand up, in my opinion. Next Mood Swing: 6 minutes

Ooo, sorry, I thought it probably was, just thought I'd clear it up for anyone. Guess it doesn't matter whether I'm gay or not, actually

Um, no, I don't think so. We're not talking about adults with regards to NAMBLA, are we? Next Mood Swing: 6 minutes

I thought in 2004 we had done with the myth that homosexuality is contagious. News flash: it is not. No more than idiocy is. It is up to individuals to decide what they want to be exposed to, what they want do, as long as it does not infringe upon someone else's liberties. There is no such thing as universal morality. Be strong enough to be confident with whom you are, with what your values are, and let people with different opinions and lifestyles go their way. Don't like to see them? Turn your head the other way. People preaching about god bother me: I avoid them. Quite simple actually. Um, not sure if its needed, but just to clarify I'm not gay, I just like equality.
-
Ok, well, I'm gratified that you feel I would be able to influence your family. That's a compliment. However, again, I don't understand how everyone being treated equally is dangerous. Ah, I see. Well, any act of this nature, whether between two people of the same sex or two people of different sexes is wrong, morally, etc. etc.. (Obviously, as you expressed, I can't go into details as per the rules.) Therefore this has no relation to what I have expressed, as there is no inequality there. Also, could you answer my previous question as to why the minority of being gay is different to any other minority? Thanks in advance. Next Mood Swing: 6 minutes
-
I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Its great that you feel I'm important enough to influence society to such an extent. But unfortunately I doubt that to be the case . But again, even if I could Idon't see how equality would be dangerous. (As an aside, I have no idea what NAMBLA is, so I can't comment, sorry) But you've missed what I found most offensive and that is your quite explicit expression that I would be dangerous to your family. Um, no, you're quite wrong, drugs can be and indeed, are, deadly. I don't believe that to be the case with equality. Next Mood Swing: 6 minutes
