"Time-In-Sport" as criterion for instructional ratings?

after reading all this (and it is a great read with heaps of information!) i have come to relise that the things in my corner of the woods (rigging-wise) are rather simplistic if not pathetic - everybody feels entitled to do what he pleases and the authorities are f*****g clueless even if some of you might bitch & moan on how unclear things are (should we stick to poynter, reid or the FAA?): at least you are able to discuss things on high standards and "cowboy-riggers" seem to be the exception rather than the norm The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666

you don't really think that some people are willing to educate themselves on a broader scale, do you? The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666

pfffffffff brand wars again then it's their turn not to pack them. period. plus: if one decides to buy a racer usually they have a rigger on hand/site to pack it (this is an asumption, i know) what has this to do with a racer sports rig? right: nothing! some people prefer to use niche-products that have proved to work very well for decades for various reasons and that can be said about almost anything next The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666

so what? at least there are some people (read gear designers/manufacturers) left who bother to think outside the box. personally i like the thought that there is more outside than just clones of the b-guys ideas to the OP: nice rig! since talking seems to be highly overrated these days, it's probably the way to go.... /sarcasm off/ plus it reminds me of the thing gays used to do some years down the road: wearing colored bandanas in the backpockets of jeans. the variation of color and placement (left/right) could result in interesting sexual practices - now do not ask me how i come to know The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666

quick & dirty answer: tunnel doesn't teach you exits and tells you nothing about flying a canopy and landing it properly

yep, some of them are screamers. in fact i tell all of my passengers that they are free to scream if they want to - at least i know they are breathing last year one of them gave me the performance of his live: as soon as we exited he was screaming at the top of his lungs (the video guy said he heard him!) for the whole part of freefall and even after opening he didn't want to stop. I don't know what came out of this guy, but is was very powerfull. maybe he was on some sort of cathartic trip, i don't know.... hardest part was getting him to stop and take up normal breathing again as i didn't want him to hyperventilate and pass out... i don't think he'll ever jump again and i guess many TI's can share similar experiences The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666

so you wanna hear a story of a student that decided to stay in the plane? i have one (happened to a friend): load from a cessna 182 RG (the one with retractable gear). pax decided he didn't want to jump, so they rode the plane down - only to find out that the front wheel wouldn't want to come out, so they had to pump it out manually after unenventfull landing pax admited, that had he know earlier what could happen on landing, he would have jumped

you should ask yourself if your prospective kids wanted to have a strange personality like you as a dad. and since every kid is a soul somewhere out there and they are constantly watching us, they have decided that you are unworthy for selection The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666

feuergnom replied to dreamdancer's topic in Speakers Corner
welcome to philosophy part one these things are nothing more than the fulfillment of our "wants". or needs are something completely different. what really need: 1) to breath 2) water 3) food 4) clothing (depending on climate) 5) sex & relationships (obvious. no sex no kids no more humans) everythings else is just a surplus we have developed for the rest of your thoughts: yep, that pretty much sums up the gutfeeling and the things i would wish for The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle dudeist skydiver # 666 -

I would like to think the exposure of the morals and intentions of those that are creating this mess, coupled with the worlds abtlity to communcate freely with each other will eventuate to a revolution, hopefully a coherent and concise one. By simply invoking the law for all, and making accounbtability mandatory for everyone, regardles of who has signed what naughty corrupt signature into place, will be enough. The solution is pretty fucking simple, but many find it too difficult and complicted to comprehend.
