Why do all religions think They are correct?
muff528 replied to diverup13k's topic in Speakers Corner
Why would anyone subscribe or adhere to a religion that they thought was one of the wrong ones? -

Maybe...maybe not, but what a cast! (OK, I'll admit it ....I liked it!)

Wow! The internet really is an amazing thing!

Too much DC-3.

Ale or Lager? IPA or Double Bock? Good points, well made Well, those questions should have been resolved long before "late at night".

The Mayans were sending them up there as fast as they could go.

I'd tell you but if you really want to become a skydiver you should do it for all the right reasons.

Stratostar makes a good point about going uncurrent over the winter. If you can wait, Easter Boogie is a good time, too. Great weather and no chance of tropical weather activity spoiling things then, either. Navigate to their website under the "Dropzone" button above for their schedule and contact info.

Be sure to wait until Skydive City resumes it's 7-day schedule. If I were making those plans I would wait until after the first cold front passes through the area. That will tend to keep afternoon thunderstorms to a minimum and temperatures will be a little more pleasant. Some of the earlier fronts of the season seem to become stationary over Central Florida. The fronts also seem to be on a ~1-week schedule and might affect jumping for maybe 1 or 2 days at the most. (If you want the full Z-Hills experience, just wait until Thanksgiving!) You should be able to get it all done in a week. Maybe you could prep yourself with a little tunnel time before your visit. Have fun!

Come on, now! ... there's nothing wrong with being a bama fan and owning a bass boat! Those guys really have eclectic interests.

OK...... you guys are beginning to scare me. Kinda like the audiophools that buy "tube damper o-rings" for 15 bucks apiece, or 50 dollar /ft speaker cable (you have to break 'em in, too), or some kinda fluid that costs more than gold per oz. or special "audiophile wood" or CD edge coloring pens. And my personal favorite.... "gigahertz tweeters"..... as if the old coots that can afford these things can really hear sounds above 10kc. For cryin' out loud!.... it's a washer and it usually comes with a new loop from the gear store.. cheap, too! Check your loop occasionally when you pack and replace it when it starts to wear!

Poll: What Reserve Handle: Ring / Soft /Other
muff528 replied to fcajump's topic in Gear and Rigging
You don't have enough info to be making that sort of conclusion. Yes, of course this was an entirely non-scientific analysis based on information taken from the internet. Well, from just one page on the internet. (I know you don't think that was a serious post. -
Poll: What Reserve Handle: Ring / Soft /Other
muff528 replied to fcajump's topic in Gear and Rigging
So.... just looking at the raw data at this time... it looks like the "soft handle" users are better packers than the "hard handle" users. (As of now.. 50 of 80, or 62.5%, hard handle users have deployed reserves and 19 of 47, or 40.4%, soft handle users have done so.) Either that or some of the soft handle users are not now able to participate in the survey. -
Yes!.... another article I read stated that an earlier version was released at about 13000 ft and became the first a/c to fly solely on ramjet power. Interesting experiments and cool looking jets.

Agree..... but only 3 times for me. -
I have a few friends who went there My dad went there (Miami) when it was at the "chicken coop". Mr. Riddle would pop in occasionally.

Yes, we had one computer at work become afflicted with a nasty hijacker called webantispy. It took over the browser and blocked exe files from being run. It also falsely reported trojan infections. It put stuff all over the registry. That's exactly how we fixed it. Found instructions on the internet to remove it manually. (at least I hope it's fixed) This sounds like something very similar.
