  1. Excellent point! But in actuality it's my mother's fault. Although she's 75% Thai and 25% Cambodian, she remarkably looks 100% hispanic. It cracks me up when someone starts speaking spanish to her because she responds to them in thai just to really mess with their heads. www.FourWheelerHB.com
  2. I was just saying. We don't like under God being in our Pledge of Allegiance yet every Thanksgiving we are suppose to be thanking God as a nation. www.FourWheelerHB.com
  3. Yup! Ben Franklin, possibly trying to be humorous (my guess) Wanted to make the turkey the national symbol. To think, the majestic eagle was only second choice! Chuck Yeah he wasn't real fond of the eagle being a carrion bird. www.FourWheelerHB.com
  4. I'm not saying anything you said is wrong. Just found it interesting, in light of what you and Nightingale said, George Washington instituted Thanksgiving as a national holiday for thanking God. www.FourWheelerHB.com
  5. It's just another one of the great myths told about the country. This bit of indoctrination usually come sometime around Thanksgiving. Coincidently... George Washington City of New York, October 3, 1789 Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor, and whereas both Houses of Congress have by their joint Committee requested me "to recommend to the People of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness." Now therefore I do recommend and assign Thursday the 26th day of November next to be devoted by the People of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being, who is the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be. That we may then all unite in rendering unto him our sincere and humble thanks, for his kind care and protection of the People of this Country previous to their becoming a Nation, for the signal and manifold mercies, and the favorable interpositions of his providence, which we experienced in the course and conclusion of the late war, for the great degree of tranquility, union, and plenty, which we have since enjoyed, for the peaceable and rational manner, in which we have been enabled to establish constitutions of government for our safety and happiness, and particularly the national One now lately instituted, for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed; and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge; and in general for all the great and various favors which he hath been pleased to confer upon us. And also that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech him to pardon our national and other transgressions, to enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually, to render our national government a blessing to all the people, by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed, to protect and guide all Sovereigns and Nations (especially such as have shown kindness unto us) and to bless them with good government, peace, and concord. To promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the encrease of science among them and Us, and generally to grant unto all Mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as he alone knows to be best. Given under my hand at the City of New York the third day of October in the year of our Lord 1789. 6. If we're invoking fiction, I'd recommend the MacGyver response scenario. Something much cleverer that worked perfectly and harm no one improvised from materials on the scene. But what if Tom doesn't chew bubble gum? He's a BASE jumper - I'm confident he can improvise. Oh didn't realize BASE jumpers were synonymous with improvisation. www.FourWheelerHB.com

  8. I'm Thai, Lithuanian, Cambodian, and Greek. When asked I answer half Thai and half white. The usual response is," Oh you're Taiwanese?" Also being in SoCal I'm often mistaken as Mexican. Even had one customer try to con me so when I jumped his shit he walked away and said,"fuckin beaner!" www.FourWheelerHB.com
  9. WTF?! I once witnessed the LAPD do something similarly disturbing on live television. Suspects crashed their vehicle, egressed, and the police shot at one of em as they ran away. My mouth dropped when I saw the bullets impact a curb the obviously unarmed suspect was stepping onto in a full run. The suspect immediately fell out of view of the news helicopter due to a tree being in the way. www.FourWheelerHB.com

  13. Your point is terrible. Getting shot anywhere, even in a hospital, does not equate to being denied pre-paid services by the same hospital. www.FourWheelerHB.com

  17. Interesting.... it was definitely wrong of Amazon to delete the books from purchasers machines. I'm wondering if deleting the books even absolves Amazon of any potential lawsuit by the copyright owners. From a business perspective I would think losing the trust of their entire customer base would be more costly than settling with the copyright owners. In a game called Project Entropia a gamer invested $100K to have the game developers design a space resort that included 1,000 apartments which the investor could then sell from anywhere between $100 to $1,000 each. I just heard about this last night and found the thought of virtual real estate a brilliant idea. In light of what Amazon just did...maybe not so brilliant afterall. www.FourWheelerHB.com

  19. Ah, so it's the "Do as I say and not as I do" people in Washington. We really need to clean house.... I agree we need to clean house but not because we try to teach our children not to do something that we do ourselves. That happens all the time and IF that's the worst thing the Dem's can find on the Reps then maybe we, Americans, are doing ok with our selections. It is nice to know the Senator would rather fall on his sword than pay $10k as extortability is a huge security risk when it comes to politicians who have access to national secrets. www.FourWheelerHB.com
  20. The Senator believes young people shouldn't have sex until marriage... unless it's with him. I would like to point out the Senator is the victim in this case as it does appear to me this intern and her boyfriend set out to extort the Senator. www.FourWheelerHB.com
