Australian hospital: No Vacancies...come back tomorrow. www.FourWheelerHB.com
-
Whoa, whoa!!!! Back up there. Can we revisit this?
-
I guess that excludes you from the set of "law abiding gun owners" then. If it were law rather than the base commanders rule than you'd have a point. Oh wait! Here's one for ya. I did in fact do my share of drinking before the age of 21. Even got arrested for it on base and was subsequently passed over for promotion. www.FourWheelerHB.com
-
Yeah...this was in NC where the only thing to do was drink so I could understand the rule. Base commander also gave us 96s every holiday so we didn't complain too much. www.FourWheelerHB.com
-
Interesting...can you carry on base? When I was in we had a standing rule that all personal firearms must be kept in the base armory. Even for those who lived off base. Those of us who did live off base did not abide my that particular rule. www.FourWheelerHB.com

Well ... I have been an American since 2003 - the "uptightness" is starting to rub off on me as well. That is a pretty cool way to handle the situation. I guess the moral of the story is to shut up and move on (?). O Nope. No moral at all. Your incident just reminded me of a pleasant experience in my youth. See! You've made another man smile! www.FourWheelerHB.com

Americans are uptight about skin but you are the one making a big deal out of this. I guess the Europeans are getting uptight as well. When I was in highschool I was chatting with a bunch of girls(6) and a friend of mine pants'd me revealing my whitey tighties to the lot. Not one to make a big deal out of things (even at 16 years old) I stood there pantsless for a moment before I nonchalantly pulled em back up. That's when I noticed all 12 of their eyes were ogglin my package. Highschool was a little bit easier after that. www.FourWheelerHB.com

Surprise! ACLU Lawsuit Supports Gun Owner's Rights

with you 100%. unarmed combat skills are very important. Up until now we were discussing improvised weapons, but thread drift happens (hell, this is like the 3rd or 4th drift in this thread alone) The topic I was discussing was self defense versus an assailant with a blade. www.FourWheelerHB.com -

Also the expected salary cap reduction for 10-11 will put a lot of teams in difficult spots. Murray is setting up Anaheim to take full advantage of the situation with a self imposed salary cap of 50 mil. Not to mention all the 1 year contracts he's signing. www.FourWheelerHB.com

Improvised weapons are great and I'm all for using what's available to you. Afterall you are fighting for your life. However, if you are woefully unprepared to deal with a blade wielding assailant while unarmed, then having any of the improvised weapons the two of you mentioned is not going to result in a significant reduction in advantage for your assailant. www.FourWheelerHB.com -
Surprise! ACLU Lawsuit Supports Gun Owner's Rights

Not as easy as you might think. I've trained with it. I'm pretty accurate with it. I'm confident that the first strike would stun the target to the point that the second and third would land and make the target simpler to disarm and disable. You' trained with your belt? really? Wouldn't be my first choice when confronted with a blade wgile unarmed but to each his own I suppose. www.FourWheelerHB.com -

I imagine you'll get one strike before your target grabs hold of your belt to prevent you from hitting him in the head with it...better make that one count. www.FourWheelerHB.com -
Then what did you do with him? www.FourWheelerHB.com

The problem with that line of thought, is those who find firearms are most useful for self defense are those who can't not defend themselves with hand to hand combat (i.e. my 60+ year old mother). www.FourWheelerHB.com -

Tell you what - we'll get some dummy knives and a Simunitions pistol. You defend against me either barehanded or with a dummy knife, and I'll defend against you with the pistol. Best of 3 rounds, wins. Care to put any money on the outcome? Ohhhh that sounds like fun. Can I be next? www.FourWheelerHB.com -
I guess that hit from Brown was harder than I thought. Relax....I'm kidding. As an update: Anaheim Ducks GM Bob Murray has been doing some serious moving and shaking these last couple weeks. Murray inherited a salary cap nightmare from Burke (Toronto's new GM) and has done some miracle work to make the Ducks a Cup contender next year. Pronger traded to Philly for Sbisa, Lupul, and 2 first round draft picks. Resigned Marchant Signed Saku Koivu from Montreal to play with Selanne Signed Nick Boynton from the Florida Panthers. Ducks Potential Lines: Off 1: Perry-Getz-Ryan Off 2: Lupul-Koivu-Selanne Checking: Miller-Marchant-Noks Physical Line 4: Parros/Christensen-Ebbett/Wirtenen-Brown (Depending on match) Def 1: Neids-Wiz (Wiz elected aribitration but should get signed at least for 09-10) Def 2: Whitney-Boynton Def 3: Sbisa-Mitera/Mikk/Salsido PP1: Getz-Perry-Ryan-Neids-Wiz PP2: Selanne-Koivu-Lups-Whitney-Sbisa PK 1: Brown-Miller-Neids-Wiz PK 2: Noks-Marchant-Whitney-Boynton Detroit here we come! www.FourWheelerHB.com
