  13. That's a good point. In the USMC you can either fly the mission or you can't. If you can't, you fly a desk. I logged just over 100 hrs NVG time and 75 of that was low light level. fun stuff www.FourWheelerHB.com
  14. We called NOE... TerF Terrain Flying TerF'ing was fun as hell when I was stationed in Cali. Then good ole Clinto, that bastard, moved us to North Carolina where there is no freakin terrain to yank and bank around. www.FourWheelerHB.com

  17. One day we were practicing SAR missions. This was after Captain O'Grady was rescued and the Marines decided we needed more training. We were flying around Camp Pendelton with a cargo of 30 fully loaded grunts looking for a 'pilot' that had been shot down. Simulated of course. After flying around for 30 minutes the pilots spot him and the guy happened to be on a very small hilltop. The object was to land, let the grunts and take off again while the grunts secure the area. When we landed, nose landing gear remaining in the air, I walked to the rear to lower the ramp via the manual hydraulic ramp switch. I hit the lever and the ramp wouldn't move. I had to think for a second and then it came to me. I asked,"Sir do you have both main landing gears on the ground?" He said,"What? Oh." There is a safety switch in the main landing gears that won't allow the ramp to lower if only one landing gear is on the ground. Neither or both have to be on the ground for it to work. www.FourWheelerHB.com

  19. How could his parents have not known, since their was a hole in the floor? Heheh, I was wondering when someone was going to question that. The carpeting was shag. At first glance there was no visible damage but I asure you it was there. www.FourWheelerHB.com

  21. I am very surprised that the moderators allowed you to get away with saying "faggot". I didn't mean it to refer to "gay" in any way. If anyone took offense, I apologize. It was a result of my lack of articulation when I was looking for a word to mean "all milque-toasty and cowardly and useless and limp and ineffective." Sorry. ---Jeffrey That's worthy of some respect points. www.FourWheelerHB.com
