    Thank you, Thank you, you guys have given me many important points, knots as a potencial cause of a malfunctions, and most importantly the option of using a household sewing machine (better yet if I go to a car upholstery shop, they have heavyduty machines).     CYPRUS, I know, nobody cares to correct this anymore...anyways, I wouldn't be surprised if expired AADs are being used in places where they can get away with it...all you need is new batteries and you're good to go.     So some people are sick fucks big deal, my problem is when my mother and dear ones see these things, imagine, my mother won't go to the DZ (when I'm home in Bolivia) to see me, because she worries too much and it's not a pleasant experience for her.     I was a flight attendant working for a company that had 727s and 737s. the only way you could jump out of the airplane would be if a bomb exploded inside and opened a big enough hole for you to jump out of...in the case of the 727 I had a plan...fly below 14.000 depressurize the cabin open the back door (aft air stairs) this would release the stairs but the DB COOPER thingy would keep it closed. then throw the rafts (they are heavy) onto the closed stairs and jump on it in order to break the DB COOPER lock . this lock is a flimsy piece of metal that moves in place when the air pushes it... the things I thought when I was bored up there working.
