I'd rather choose some other color for the center cell, something dark. The center cell is the one touched by every packjob.

A suit is not a complement for weak skill.

Having more time and focus with aerobatics than tracking or a safe pull...

We had a practical joke of the same kind. We used powder for preventing the material of the round canopies to stick to itself. My friends prepared a rig with a decent amount of extra powder and they were waiting for a "volunteer". He suppose to have a static line jump and powder in his/her neck. The wind has spoiled our fun and blown the powder away on opening.

I'm wondering why don't you want to jump blind folded? You might need all of your senses for jumping.
-
How was it working?
-
You'd better sing instead.
-
Sure. If you can stall just one of them by toggles
-
Ok. So what can we use leaves a visible trace and no fast chemical reaction involved?
-
I can fly my Pilot150 in full brakes as long as I want without stall.

6 or more feet under.... ?

I was wondering we have a steady airflow in freefall or under canopy. Can we you just some kindda colored powder as cold smoke?
-
Sounds like a pissing contest.
-
I live in Europe. I don't think those smoke canisters can be air-mailed.

HiPer Nitro and Altair Cobalt are made from that glevenor fabric. I love my Cobalt. Diamonds are forever! I hope my Pilot wouldn't be jealous.

Old pack volumen chart is here PD-170 432cci

There is a specialized smoke for parachutist too.

I have found this

Good question. I have a feeling that some suits are more prone for flat spin. I have flown Phantom only. I had jumps where I was flying dirty or even tumbling. I have released tension and fly some seconds a bit dirtier and back to max-out when I felt getting unstable.
-
Oh, You should know that, because you read it in a book.... Are you going to demonstrate? Your chances are lot bigger to spun up or make a lineover on your canopy than fall into. You can not even stall most of the canopies with toggles without wrapping break lines on your fist. I could see the horizont over my canopy after an abrupt stall, but it is still far away from falling into it.

So? Did he write that you have to fly all canopies exact same way? I have and read his great book anyway. There are some things I did and I still would do on a big, 260+ sqft canopy with a spring loaded PC, but would not try with any of mine with kill-line collapsible PC. That looks like a good point.

I have started flying sqare canopies in year 2000. My first and favorite canopy was a PTCH11, 9 cell 300+ sqft F111 canopy. I had lots of direct bag static line jumps from 1200-1500m I was told to play and stall my canopy all posible way over 600-800m, so in safe altitude. I had the same question about falling into the canopy. I was told that a full loop should not be possilbe with a skydiving canopy. If it is possible that canopy should be grounded and redesigned with shorter lines. BTW do you know if that can be done with a paraglider? I don't think that falling to our own canopy is a real issue with todays all around or highly loaded canopies. It is not ususal to play so abrupt with a canopy. So if you play hard and uload your canopy, lines you should not what you are doing.

Thanks.

It has a short(er than Sabre2) recovery arc. E.g. I had a not planned 90 turn around 2 smaller trees. The top of the trees were level of my canopy. I had a soft landing after all. Pictures are here. I have started to fly my on WL 1.2-1.3. It is an amazing canopy!

I was told that should not happen. That could be a deadly wrap. If it could happen that canopy would be grounded.
