  1. Heard of it, never saw it. I think maybe my dad watched it or something; that's his kind of movie. ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!
  2. It's not that I wouldn't love to help someone; it's that I have health problems that make my organs non-donatable (if that's a word). At the same time, I also would give anything they would take, I have signed a DNR so that I don't end up a vegetable on life support, and I also want to be cremated. So, if there is anything I can give (I guess I'd have to speak to a doctor to find out), I would be glad to do so. ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!
  3. So they'll end up giving back some of the money they got selling Iraq dual-use equipment in the first place. Still probably end up being net profit for them.... I'm glad you thought of that, because it totally slipped my mind! ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!
  4. The french pacifists??? 1) Rafale fighter, Tiger helicopter..... 2) One of the few european countries using batlle carriers 3) Don't forget the "legion etrange" (forreign legion) to do the dirty jobs for the president. 4) Parachute de France (part of zodiac) has a very big customer : French army They may have those things, but they never use them. ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!
  5. Both France and Germany, however, have said they would contribute to the reduction of Iraq's debt and participate in economic and environmental development programmes. Berlin already trains Iraqi security forces outside Iraq and France has said it would do so. __________________________________ The only problem I have with that is that France is so pacifist that who wants them to train Iraqi security forces? ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!
  6. Just goes to show that the American media isn't the only media that skews the news. ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!
  7. Hmmmmm, I still would have gotten the ticket for no insurance, but it would have been dismissed if I had taken proof of insurance to the courts within the allotted time period. As for speeding, the fines here are exhorbitant, and the local police have bad attitudes and will give you a ticket for harrassing an officer if you happen to breathe on them with bad breath...okay, I'm exaggerating a little, but not much! ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!
  8. The Redskins aren't even good enough to hate anymore - we need to switch teams. Well, I'm not exactly a die-hard Cowboy fan anymore either, but I am loyal to state teams (Houston Texans don't count, Houston is completely different than the rest of TX and they are a brand new expansion team). ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!
  9. Sunny should come to Dallas, not Houston, we won't get half the rain they will, but it'll cool off and be comfortable over the weekend. ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!
  10. That's pretty funny! Of course, being in Dallas, I'll have to reverse the roles when I retell it! ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!
  11. To be quite honest, yes, so typically I buy sandals WITHOUT the thong... ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!
  12. Actually, this is my favorite flip flop! ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!
  13. Haha! John Kerry's 57 flavors are still coming!!! This is my favorite: Kerry now claims Saddam’s "downfall ... has left America less secure." Oopsy: Here's his anti-Dean, anti-Saddam stand in December 2003, according to Newsday: "Those who doubted whether Iraq or the world would be better off without Saddam Hussein, and those who believe we are not safer with his capture, don’t have the judgment to be president or the credibility to be elected president." So, I guess he shouldn't be elected. Hey, he said it, not me! ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!
  14. That's true, and I think that people should understand WHY they are voting a certain way before they vote; what I'm saying is that this is dirty politics any way you look at it, and that makes the liberal side of the fence look bad, therefore giving an extra edge to the conservative vote. Yes, because no dirty politics come from the conservative side of the fense. Please spare me. Neither side can claim the high road. I didn't say one way or the other about the conservatives playing dirty; I was addressing the current issue at hand, which IS a plus for the conservatives. I'm sure there are a few things going against them, as well, but this is a positive for them and a negative for liberals. That's the only statement I've made. ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!

  16. They are forgeries, but still, CBS' actions have nothing to do with deporable irresponsibility. Right now, thanks to CBS' lie, there are many less-than-brilliant liberal thinking people out there talking about Bush's lousy military service, and the facist machine's attempt to cover it up by besmearching CBS. Mission accomplished. By the same token, though, there are also a lot of liberals AND independents who are seeing the light right now and will likely vote for Bush. Plus for the pres? I think so...which means that the dumbass who pulled the stunt to begin with is seeing it backfire and is probably kicking himself in the ass right now! ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!
  17. I don't think anything he's said should be taken as a slam; I talk to him every day, and he has a lot of respect for these two; sometimes it just comes off differently when you're reading a post rather than listening to him talk. All I have to say is that this has gone wildly off topic, and I think that Bruno's accomplishments were not the original point, and that until you see him for yourself, there's nothing you can say. ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!
  18. Why don't you stay out of it? Your personal attacks are childish, petty, and unnecessary. The problem here is, your personal feelings toward him will never allow you to give him any kind of credit. Besides that, he DOES still get some swoop out of the small canopy, and I firmly believe that when he decides to upsize (with the intent of having a good swooping canopy), you'll feel like a fool for discrediting his abilities. You need to mind your own business, because all you want to do here is start an argument...I've dealt with you before, and I don't feel you have anything worthwhile to add to this discussion. ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!
  19. Okay, if you want my honest, unbiased opinion, here it is... I do agree, to a point, with you. Technically, he pushes the envelope, and it can be a very dangerous thing. Sometimes I worry, and yes, there are plenty of times when I think that he could upsize and be just a little safer. However, I respect him as a skydiver and will back his decisions. At the same time, I do see him fly that canopy on a regular basis; he doesn't fly anything else. That means that he doesn't misjudge based on the fact that he's switching back and forth between canopies...I also have seen him land the canopy almost every time he's flown it, and he has excellent control of the thing. It's hard to believe, because the canopy can be so volatile, but he lands it beautifully and often gets a decent swoop out of it, which is hard to do with such a damn small canopy. He usually has a small audience on our dz, and I'm not basing all of this on my opinion. I listen to other comments, most of which come from people a lot more experienced than myself, and they are usually very impressed with how he handles it, including flying and landing. So, even though I do feel that he is taking risks above and beyond what's necessary, he's proven his qualification to do so, and he's proven that he's up to the task, so I can't say that he can't handle it or that he's being unreasonable. ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!
  20. Bad example. 1) If you have to be at your home dropzone to be in a comfort zone you're in over your head, period. 2) If you're incapable of landing your canopy safely when things don't always go 100% as expected you're in over your head, period. The above applies to anyone, on any canopy. Blues, Ian He doesn't have to be at home to be in a "comfort zone", I've seen him jump in Miami as well. But again, as I stated before everyone has a screw up at some point, that doesn't mean you're in over your head. Technically, the same bad landing could happen to someone flying a nice, "safe" Sabre 150, if they chose to go with the wrong wind sock and landed down wind. The Ranch is between mountains, and the winds sort of swirl, meaning that you have to sometimes guess at which wind sock to believe, I'm told. I haven't jumped there myself, but I heard this when I visited. So it doesn't only pertain to a small canopy, it's just that if the wrong decision IS made with a small canopy, it's more likely you're going to get hurt. In this case, no one was injured, so it's no big deal. ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!
  21. Well, before you decide to criticize (based on one jump), it's been years since he jumped there, AND the first thing he said to me when he came back in was that he'd made the wrong decision. Everyone makes a wrong decision sometimes, and not everyone gets beat up for it on a public forum. Big deal. One bad landing, and not even a scrape to show for it. Hasn't everyone had a bad landing at some point? ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!
  22. Got in his car and never came back? He was on a one-week trip to New York, he lives in Dallas. He learned to jump at the Ranch, so he has no problem with it, except that it's a mighty long drive from Dallas every weekend to jump there. Besides, I was there, and that was the second jump he made there; his first was beautiful. On the second jump, the wind socks were in conflict, and the direction he chose to land had an upslope; the 55 doesn't have the lift to pull up out of that, so of course it made for a bit of a bad landing. You might have a problem, too, if it wasn't your regular drop zone and your canopy didn't have the lift it needed to pull out of a bad situation. ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!
  23. Bruno? Lighten up? Those terms can almost never be used in the same sentence, it just doesn't work for him! Okay, Bruno, you know I'm teasing you, right? It's my job, and I love it! ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!
  24. Haha, that is kind of funny, but no, although his pose is very stiff, I guarantee it's real... You should have seen Bruno digging for that picture last night and freaking out, tearing up our house when he thought it was lost!!! ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!
