    I saw Cirque last Saturday in Toronto. Can you believe they had a midget tied to helium balloons and they tossed her out into the audience? She'd slowly fall to the ground and then people would push her back up again. (and no, I'm not lying about seeing the show OR the midget)

    I would interpret the term functional as an AAD that can work, [i.e.] not expired or without batteries. Nowhere does it say that it has to be armed. This can become an interesting argument/loophole in places where AAD's are mandatory.

    I was reading another forum and it had a really neat feature. When you were on the board reading the topic line for each thread if you hovered your mouse over the thread title it gave you the first 4 or 5 lines of the post inside the thread. If this feature could be added here it would help you figure out what a thread was about if the topic was vague. This would enable to get a sneak peak without clicking on each thread individually.     I graduated school with a psych major. I really enjoyed school, but everyone is right about the career thing. If you want a career in pysch you need to do further education or get a career outside of the psych. It does really help you understand people. You should really do what makes you happy.

    I went to a quiet place and tried to replicate your findings. I've heard this sound that you describe only after I hit the button to enter the log book function. At no other time I can hear/make it sound when I hit buttons.

    I seem to have noticed that there is a main type of Avatar for each sex. for woman: A sexy picture of them for men: A cool picture of them skydiving I kind of noticed that peoples avatars are pretty similar. And after I was thinking about that for awhile, I noticed that there was some other types that are pretty popular. So why do you have your avatar?

    That's a really nice rig. What colours did you choose? Looking at a picture of a rig is so different than the colouring programs.

    Last night my mother went out late, after dark. Once she opened the door the kitten ran out, like she normally does. So my mother went out looking for her. The kitten is all black and her name is Sunshine. So my mother is outside in the middle of the night yelling "Sunshine, come here. Sunshine where are you?" some kids walk by and laugh at her. It took a few hours for her to realize how silly she looked out in the yard at night yelling for sunshine.

    I think it's funny that everyone giving advise for this has less than 100 jumps. But we could all be lying about our jump numbers...

    It really depends on what size canopy a .92 wingloading puts you at. Jumping a 220 square foot canopy at that wingloading and a 150 canopy at that loading are completely different things. No one well ever blame you for being too safe.

    I don't really think anyone knows what your talking about. Are you talking about how people resent that you have new gear? About people being concerned about your canopy and jump numbers? Or about something else entirely? How can you expect people to understand your situation when the issue that is troubling you is unclear. People are just giving responses to what they think is going on. You can clearly see that responses are all over the place. Ask a question without sarcasm (which is hard to understand when written) and contempt and maybe a more positive discussion can arise from your situation.

    Well everyone will tell you to ask an instructor, and to never trust anything someone on the internet tells you to do. It's a good idea because nobody here has seen you jump or knows anything about your skill level. But generally: You want your first canopy to be at a wing loading no higher than 1 to 1. Use the wing loading calculator located at the top of this page to figure it out for yourself. Don't forget to add 14 kilos (Tonto edit - That's about 30 lbs..) for the weight of the gear you'll be wearing.

    Air Canada is getting two A380's. When the air canada rep came into my work a few months ago they said one was for direct flights to Hong Kong and the other for India, but they will introduce them with shorter flights into London.

    Too many people view their credit limit as money they have in the bank. If you really want to go, save your money, it's never a good idea to spend money before you earn it.

    When did vector containers have the standard feature of being manufactured cypress ready? When did it become mainstream that all new rigs came cypress ready?

    Okay, I have 13 jumps on rounds, T-10's, Lopo's and Paracommanders. My advice: Practice PLF's when you feel really confident with them. Jump off the second story of a building, look at the horizon, and do a good PLF.....it will be just like the real thing.

    I have my ears done, and it only took about 2 1/2 weeks before I could take the stud out of the top of my ear. Listen to those who say you can't sleep on it, they're right. If your only getting one side done it won't be too hard to cope with sleeping on your other side. I found that it was easier for my cartilage piercings to heal than just regular ear piercings. Judging by people I know who have had it done: if your ear is not very rigid it usually doesn't take as long to heal. I can bend my ear in half, those who can't do that usually take longer for theirs to heal. Hope that helps!
