If election denying candidates are a threat to Democracy, why did the Democrats give them $53,000,000 to support their campaigns? “Democrats are estimated to have spent more than $53 million across nine states boosting far-right candidates in GOP primary elections…The money has gone toward a Democratic strategy that elevates far-right candidates who have questioned or denied the results of the 2020 election” The phrase “hoist by one’s own petard” comes to mind.

I’m not advocating for anarchy, however with regard to domestic policy, the federal government should step in only when all else has failed.

A government that governs least governs best.

I really don’t think it will be all that bad for you guys. We probably will win the house, the Senate is a toss up. As long as the Rs don’t get a veto proof majority we will all be ok. The less the government does the better off we will all be. It looks like we will have divided government and I am just fine with that.

We don’t need to go back to last year, we have back to back quarters to compare. One with record prices and high profits, and another with lower prices and even higher profits. (Which validates my Econ lesson from earlier)
-
Do you mean how oil companies recorded record profits in Q3 despite lower gas prices as compared to Q2?

The glee came from the attempt to prove me wrong on man made global warming.

Agreed, however, there are some folks on this forum who gleefully posted about disappearing Arctic sea ice when it was low in 2012 then called me a Troll when I shared that trend has reversed today. The same thing happened when I showed that elevated levels of CO2 have not lead to the disastrous consequences predicted by the alarmists. One would think we would all be happy, but alas no.

Sorry guys, as of late there has been so much that has been breaking in my favor it is hard to keep up. My predictions of American Rescue Plan causing inflation, to the war on fossil fuels leading to high gas prices and diesel shortages, recovering Arctic sea ice, slow hurricane season, record coal use, the failure of renewables to replace fossil fuels and the result of the election next week just to name a few. I will try to do better but quite frankly, it is exhausting.

How about we ‘let’s see’ about how the world will burn a record amount of coal next year. What do you think about the Green New Deal (aka the Inflation Reduction Act) now?
-
Are you saying that the attacker was not a member of the Green Party?
-
It’s what one would expect from a loony lefty Green Party member. (funny how none of the security cameras and the police officers body cams seemed to be working)

How about the IEA? https://www.iea.org/news/global-coal-demand-is-set-to-return-to-its-all-time-high-in-2022 “Based on current economic and market trends, global coal consumption is forecast to rise by 0.7% in 2022 to 8 billion tonnes, assuming the Chinese economy recovers as expected in the second half of the year, the IEA’s July 2022 Coal Market Update says. This global total would match the annual record set in 2013, and coal demand is likely to increase further next year to a new all-time high.” Did you catch that? Despite trillions of dollars wasted on chasing the dream of renewables, the actual reality is that next year we will burn more coal than ever. Looks like this “Dead Ender” isn’t so dead after all.

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2022/oct/25/the-world-is-transitioning-to-fossil-fuels/ At long last, the fever has broken and sanity is prevailing. (Just as I predicted a few years ago, renewables have no hope of replacing fossil fuels) “Global coal demand will reach a historic high in 2022, similar to 2013’s record levels. According to the International Energy Agency, “Global coal consumption is forecast to rise by 0.7 percent in 2022 to 8 billion tons. … Coal consumption in the European Union is expected to rise by seven percent in 2022 on top of last year’s 14 percent jump.” “Analysts are projecting “a huge gas-to-coal fuel transition in power and industrial sectors” of Europe. Yes, not gas to renewables, but gas to coal.”

That’s rich, coming from the NYT

BrentSolar would have gone with a system that utilized stored solar energy in a chemical form. Either solar nuggets (coal) or solar syrup (oil). Not what the wackos would advocate, however a much more effective, reliable and economical solution

You don’t need to believe Western sources, just listen to Putin. He wants to reconstitute the old Soviet empire. If we don’t stop him in Ukraine he will move on to the Baltic states which would trigger article five and then…..
