  1. He also is letting men take title 9 money away from women and paving the way for this:
  2. One analysis showed that Trump received more than a billion dollars in free media in the run up to the 2016 election. If a demagogue rants in Mar a Lago and the media doesn’t cover it, does he still make a sound?
  3. Ten years from now Africa’s energy production will be 90%+ fossil fuel and <10% renewables. (Much of that hydro) This reality is reflected in the rest of the world where fossil fuels provide roughly the same percentage of our energy needs as they did a century ago. The message was, and continues to be: the Green New Deal = magical thinking. For example, Biden stops the Keystone pipeline, killing thousands of jobs, loosing millions in tax revenues, pissing off our neighbor to the north while forcing the oil from Canadian tar sands to be transported via rail which is more dangerous and carbon intensive, just so he can virtue signal to the far left wackos.
  4. https://www.reuters.com/article/idUSKBN29Q1S5 “U.S. President Joe Biden’s promised ban on new oil and gas drilling on federal lands would take years to shut off production from top shale drillers because they already have stockpiled permits, according to Reuters interviews with executives.” Enough stockpiled permits to outlast his administration....so another pointless act of virtue signaling.
  5. I agree, there is a reason China has the world’s largest army that rarely strays from its own boarders.
  6. Now that Harris and Biden are in office with the Ds in charge of both houses, I would expect to see legislation addressing systemic racism on the Resolute Desk in the first hundred days.
  7. What part of “first steps” eluded you?
  8. My reply was in response to the charge that I was a racist. It had nothing to do with “systemic” racism. If there is such a thing, I’m sure Biden, with a Democrat controlled House and Senate, will address it in his first hundred days. They might not to be able to fix it entirely, but surely they will take the first few steps.
  9. Maybe our world views have been shaped by our different life experiences. My best friend in fifth grade was black (we both loved model rocketry). My DI in basic training was black, the most impressive Black Hat (instructor) in Airborne school was black, my platoon sergeant in my Airborne Battalion was black and a Ranger who influenced me to follow in his footsteps. Same experiences in College, same experience in the corporate world. In the Montessori school my kids attended they were a minority and that just seemed normal. I just haven’t had the same experiences as you so I have trouble looking through your eyes as you, obviously, have trouble looking through mine.
  10. If my “funny bone” is a nerve then yes
  11. A troll is what they call someone when they loose the argument. I really must have hit a nerve, six pages of posts attacking my OP in three days
  12. You are obviously very emotional about this but it is my guess you never heard about systemic racism until last summer. We sure never heard it during eight years of Obama. But don’t worry, tough guy it will all be better in a few hours.
  13. The Ds had both the House AND the Senate and they never even passed a single bill addressing systemic racism (that I am aware of) Never said they don’t help, but the Lefts fetish with masks and lockdowns is out of all proportion to their effectiveness.
  14. If systemic racism was such a problem, why didn’t a black President, AG and Secretary of Homeland Security do anything about it? In fact Obama claimed his election was proof that it didn’t exist. Or are we only a racist country when the President has an R after his name? BTW the strident defense of masks and lockdowns kind of makes Crenshaw’s point
  15. What is the difference? Not being jerky, just want to know.
  16. Science should inform one’s behavior, not fear. https://towardsdatascience.com/covid-19-comorbidities-are-the-elephant-in-the-room-7d185bd6cfe2
  17. Where I say that? I think they are both idiots. But I feel sorry for the 24/7 mask wearers. I took the kids out for a winter hike the other day up Shingletown Gap, clear skies and just above freezing. About an hour into our hike we came across a young couple, wearing masks. Upon seeing us maskless rogues, they recoiled in horror and couldn’t get off of the trail fast enough. That is just sad.
  18. The person who assesses their situation and makes rational choices to protect themselves and those around them. I have two cousins in the medical field who both contracted COVID, both had N95s, face shields, smocks and gloves. Yes a chin diaper may offer a small measure of protection, but it is far from the impenetrable shield of virtue many think it is.
  19. That comment belies your leftie world view. You assume because I disagree with the rationality of solo mask wearing that I want them to conform to my way of thinking. I don’t wish to impose my will. That is what lefties do. Against guns? The Right says you don’t have to buy one, the Left say you can’t have one.
  20. Replace SARS with COVID Replace Native Americans with Chinese Change 98% to 99%
  21. I wasn’t trolling, but it does look as if I hooked a bunch of dummies.
  22. I see no reason to defend anything in the article as I find his points to be self evident. The ball is in your court, what SPECIFICALLY do you feel needs defending. Again I find it funny just how many lefties got their panties bunched by a simple post of one of our democratically elected Representatives.
  23. I for one don’t give much credence to Trump’s claims. Trump also said he won the election in a landslide.
