I will let the numbers speak for themselves https://www.fbi.gov/file-repository/nics_firearm_checks_-_month_year.pdf/view

Fair enough, as long as we can blame you for: inflation, crime, delta variant, open southern border, housing shortage, firearms proliferation, labor shortage and terror attacks. Don’t forget none of this would have happened if Clinton had the balls to take out bin Laden in the first place…….Thanks Democrats

Given that I place primary blame on GWB for getting us into this mess, your post makes no sense (what’s new).
-
Where did I do that? Pulling out in the winter would have slowed this train wreck and allowed for a more orderly egress. Taliban would still take over but more slowly resulting in less panic.
-
Our troop pullout led to Afghan army collapse which led to Taliban takeover which led to giant mess. Given that everyone agreed that a Taliban takeover was inevitable, it would have been wiser to begin the evacuation while we still had an effective military presence. Biden was betting that the Afghan military and government were going to fight and die in a lost cause, buying us time while we evacuated. He was wrong. Let’s just hope it doesn’t get any worse. Maybe if you had spent 20 years, in the Army, flying around in rotary wing aircraft (like I did) you might not be so flummoxed. Stated simply, it is better to withdraw from a battle space when the enemy’s movement is encumbered than when it is not. If you can’t understand that, I can’t help you.

Looks like someone is projecting

China won’t go into Afghanistan with anything other than a checkbook. They don’t care about human rights they just want access to its natural resources. https://www.reuters.com/world/asia-pacific/what-are-afghanistans-untapped-minerals-resources-2021-08-19/

He is upside down in the polls. To say he is more popular than Trump is a pretty low bar. I don’t think Trump was ever above 50%.

One word…..helicopters

https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/biden-approval-rating/?ex_cid=rrpromo Apparently Americans agree with me. (And this poll was taken before 13 Marines were killed)

So you admit that Biden was so clueless that he didn’t understand the difference between a treaty and an informal agreement. That said, he didn’t let those “tied hands” from arbitrarily changing that agreement twice. He could have picked October 31st and we could have evacuated many more people.

The fact that Afghanistan would fall to the Taliban was a forgone conclusion. If the withdrawal took place in the winter and not in the middle of “fighting season” it would have bought precious time. That is just a simple fact.

Just ask Gazprom

From yesterday’s press conference “They gave me a list here, the first person I was instructed to call on was Kelly O’Donnell, NBC,” Just who is running the country?

Lot of Biden fanboys on a thread titled “President Biden’s Critics Corner”
-
Yes, that was the assessment of those on the ground. The higher-ups were engaged in wishful thinking.
-
It’s not a matter of getting out or not, it is the complete ineptitude of the execution. Biden ignored the advice of his intel, military and State Department advisers and set an arbitrary date for withdrawal (twice) instead of a conditions based timeline. Now the Taliban are holding him to the standard he set. Results? 12 Marines are dead dozens injured, 1000+ Americans are still stuck in country and tens of thousands of our allies have been abandoned to the tender mercies of the Taliban and ISIS-K.
-
If the pullout had occurred in the dead of winter, the Taliban would not have been able to move on the capital as quickly as they did. It would have taken months not hours. winter in Afghanistan https://www.inquirer.com/philly/news/nation_world/20150301_Helicopters_aid_snowbound_Afghans.html

I am referring to the political reality. The original blame belongs to GWB. I don’t see how that is partisan. I have been watching the far left MSNBC all day and the coverage has been nothing less than brutal.
-
Biden did what he wanted, he was under no obligation to honor Trumps agreement. The fact that Biden moved the exit date from May to 9/11 (brilliant) and then to 8/31 is evidence of that. He could have just as easily moved the date back six months. Biden owns this debacle and now he has American blood on his hands.
-
To juxtapose the Obama/Biden administration to the Trump administration is fair game. Don’t forget, Joe was always the last one in the room when critical decisions were being made.
-
Wrong thread, this is Biden’s critics corner.
