Higher fuel costs reduce disposable income which may lead to reduced consumer spending which may lead to a recession. It’s not an iron clad law, but it does happen.

But isn’t $6.00 diesel what the lefties wanted? To force us off of fossil fuels?     You guys don’t get it. When an affirmative action pick fails it hurts the very people it was supposed to ‘represent’. If Harris was a successful VP, she may very well have been our next President. Now the only path for her is for Joe to go down. It doesn’t look good when the first black/immigrant/gay/women has a cringe worthy performance on the podium and then has to be backed up by a white/straight/ex-military/male. I agree there have been other terrible press secretaries in the past but forgive me for not including a critical analysis of George Cortelyou because he is no longer the WH press secretary.

    It’s not me, Jean-Pierre, upon being appointed press secretary lead off with her credentials. ‘I am a Black, gay, immigrant woman’ In much the way VP Harris’s gender and race are not redounding to actual accomplishments, Jean-Pierre is facing the same challenges. In progressive circles the answer to any problem is climate change bad, cooperations bad, rich folks bad. While that gets nods of approval in San Francisco, it doesn’t cut it when one faces an adversarial press member.

    No, it is just that she is incompetent. Her race, gender, immigration status and sexual proclivities have nothing to do with it. I actually feel sorry for her. A career in the progressive bubble has conditioned her to believe that all of the world’s problems are a result of climate change and income inequality.
