From TK’s article “Nigro says that the process — states have to submit plans to the Biden administration for approval, solicit bids on the work, and then award funds — has taken much of the first two years since the funding was approved. “I expect it to go much faster in 2024,” he added.” 2024 is 75% through and we are up to eight. Anti-Biden/Harris doesn’t equate to pro-Trump. If everyone here was blindly lavishing praise on Trump as they are with Harris I would point out Trump’s faults. However you guys have that base covered. -
https://www.eugyppius.com/p/how-schleswig-holstein-sold-their The US, not to be outdone, said “hold my beer” and spent $7,000,000,000 on eight charging stations. (At last count, for those Captain Pedantics out there)

I really don’t care about who occupies the White House, as long as we have R control of either the House or the Senate, especially if Harris wins. We will need that to minimize the damage wrought by the Ds last time they controlled both chambers and the bully pulpit. -

You are correct, if we ever do see any negative effects from elevated CO2 we can employ Neolithic technology and just move. -

I just read an article in the Babylon Bee that a climate change expert said that he was shocked that a hurricane developed in hurricane alley during hurricane season. He says that in the last two months he has never witnessed such extreme weather. -

Then why is natural gas consumption rising and why are we building coal plants? Not to mention what is going on in China and India. -

My post was in response to tkhays claim that more people died of COVID during the Trump Administration. I said that was factually incorrect and I backed it up with data. If your brain is so rotted by TDS (Trump Deranged Syndrome) that you can’t see that, I can’t help you. -

That is too rich for my blood, but I was surprised to find I actually liked Bullet Rye. I find the rye is a bit like patchouli oil, a little goes a long way and too much is way too much. But Bullet found a good balance. In my experience it is the same with wine with money, a thirty dollar bottle of wine is ok, a fifty dollar bottle is good and anything over one hundred dollars is a waste of money. -

I am not talking about opinions,I am talking about facts. More folks died from COVID during the Biden administration than during the Trump administration. FACT! Renewables can not keep pace with increasing energy demand. FACT! I’m sorry if reality makes some folks but-hurt however I feel I am doing a public service by disabusing them of these notions. -

Bottom line, even with multiple vaccines available More folks died of COVID during the Biden administration than the Trump administration. Again, have you insufficient mental faculties to understand the CDC data? I’m not Bashing Biden the numbers are. -

“Nearly halfway through a decade deemed critical for slowing climate change, US utilities and investors plan to add 133 new natural gas-fired power plants to the nation's grid, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence data. Another four oil-fired plants are under construction or in early development, and two coal-fired plants have been announced, the data shows. The plans for new fossil fuel-based power generation come amid industrywide concern over a sudden and rapidly rising demand driven by electrification and industrial growth. In December 2023, grid regulators warned that power demand could outstrip supply in the coming decade, and consulting firm Grid Strategies declared that the "era of flat power demand is over." https://www.spglobal.com/marketintelligence/en/news-insights/latest-news-headlines/us-has-133-new-gas-fired-plants-in-the-works-putting-climate-goals-at-risk-81469493 As I said, renewables can’t even keep pace with the increase in demand -

https://www.eia.gov/dnav/ng/hist/n9140us2a.htm Natural gas consumption is going in one direction…UP! And your link to an article about a report that says “For renewables to compete with fossil fuels and nuclear, storage is vital to provide power during renewable downtimes.” And when you add the cost of storage…the costs go through the roof and they are no longer competitive w fossil fuels. It reminds me of this Bloom County comic. Teacher: Original ideas? There are no truly original ideas lift in science, Mr Jones. OWJ: Au contraire! I myselft have an original idea! Teacher: Original Mr. Jones? OWJ: 100% original! A first! Truly unique! Allow me to present my findings! OWJ: The following formula shows conclusively how the entire world’s energy needs can be fulfilled with only two porcupines, an exercise wheel, and six tons of “raisin bran”. Truly … an original notion. OWJ: There! It all adds up! Teacher: … Except that porcupines are alergic to raisins. Teacher: Failure, Mr Jones, is hardly very original. Sit down. OWJ: The great tragedy of science – the slaying of an original, beautiful hypothesis by an ugly fact. -

The reality is that renewables can’t even keep with just the increase in demand let alone replace fossil fuels. Coal is being replaced by cheaper natural gas and not renewables. Did you wonder why Microsoft chose nuclear and not wind and solar+ batteries to power one of its data centers? Because renewables are unreliable, expensive and have to be backed up by traditional energy sources -

Not judging from your posts. For the most part it is standard leftie group-think. (Climate change is going to get us, Biden/Harris good Trump bad, misogyny, racism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia are everywhere, coal bad solar good, oil bad wind turbines good, Portland riots peaceful, January 6 threat to Democracy….) -
