  6. The NorCal CPC will be happening as planned this year. Vic Krusi and myself will be organizing the events. 4 of the 5 are confirmed. The dates are as follows, with the Sundays reserved as weather days: April 8-9 Byron April 29-30 Davis May 20-21 Hollister (Only one not confirmed yet) June 24-25 Davis July 22-23 Byron Remember, you need to compete in at least 3 regional events to be eligible for the CPC championships in Colorado. There will be more information in the next week or so, as I finally just spoke to Slaton today (He's been a little busy this past week ...) You can email me with any questions @ skydivexxl@yahoo.com I need to know a ballpark of how many people will be competing. Closer to the events, we will require preregistration for logistics reasons. Please forward/post this around for our non-computer saavy friends! The rules can be found @ http://www.canopypiloting.com/cpc.htm I'm working on sponsors (prizes, booze, shirts etc...) to make these more of an event, an a lot of fun. I'll also be looking for volunteer videographers/photographers to get shots. I'm planning to put together a DVD of all of the pilots and rounds at the end. Hook it for safety! 17. Just got back from the first CPC training camp at the Farm, and have plenty of thanks to dole out. (It took a few days to recover and post due to shitty Delta Airlines, much booze, and a shitty week of work) The camp was well put together, with different courses set up with all gates, coaching and debriefs. Many thanks to Mark Shimmell, for making many trips to the airport, putting 3 of us up at his house (some who he'd never previosly met!), and putting in MUCH work on the course and the camp. The staff (Mike, Frank, Blaine, Alan etc...), regulars, and Hans & Sandy for running a great DZ, making everything run very smoothly, being VERY accommidating, and making me feel like I was at home. Oh yeah, and thanks to Jim Slaton for hanging out. See you guys in April! I'll try to bring some other NorCal folks with next time! Blog Clicky

  21. Now THAT depends on who is driving. Actually I was being consevative Andy. If you dont jump there on a regular basis, it seems more like an HOUR! It's all good though. Everyone just gets alittle closer to everyone else on the load, and you realize driving on the road is at times way more dangerous then jump from an airplane. Well said! I actually have 450-500 hours in that van, so i guess I'm pretty acclimated. A few of us can pack in the van as well, so it seems MUCH quicker! Blog Clicky
  22. Ed, Every time you reply, the van ride gets longer! It's actually closer to 10 minutes. Blog Clicky
