What hotels are near-by? I need a nice clean place to occationally wash my nappy ass and rest my weary head. Tracy is only 15-20 minutes away and they have some decent hotels there that won't break the bank. As long as the owner picks it all up I think it's ok. At least, I wouldn't mind. Now if they did it every single day and I had kids that play in the yard or something maybe I'd say no but I don't so those are my feelings now. If they didn't pick it up I'd be pissed! English girl! English! So the translation is...Carbone Zone = Food vendor that makes delicious food that has come to past boogies but not this time? I'll google them to be sure. And no one has told me where we camp out (I'm assuming from what google maps shows me, the are south of the hangar and in between the road and the runway - it looks quite large for a tent city). Tell ya what. When you get to Byron for the boogie just go to where the other tents are and put yours there. I'm sure it won't be that hard to find. Byron's pretty small. I don't know a lot about Carbone Zone other than they have a stand at the WFFC in Rantoul and make really good food and I hear good things about them. Rantoul is all the way over in Illinois. I don't think they've ever been to Byron but I could be wrong since I've only been skydiving for 3 years or so, so I don't think they've been to this boogie in the past. Carbone Zone baby! They make a killer spread for vittles. As far as I know though, they aren't coming to Byron. I think the vendors we're referring to are gear vendors. No hot dog on a stick stands or blooming onions here! I'm not sure what the food deal is. So how did you get the planes out for that one? You did a great job by the way and it blows me away that you can "create" a dropzone like that and have such an insane turnout. You'z the shiznit! Like someone else posted most of the time the planes come with a minimum along with maybe fuel one way and tranport and lodging for the pilot.Bottom line if the boogie flops the organizer has to pay.On Thur. at the Dublin Boogie when it was raining,between the tents,planes,return fuel and other money that was spent I was about 12 grand in the hole. OUCH! Ok that's it, no more bitching about a lack of aircraft from anyone except CSpenceFLY. He earned the right to bitch. Oh and I'm buying you a jump in Byron dude.
