Stand By Me was one of the good ones! Have any of you seen Apt Pupil? The short story was wickedly twisted. It was much more disturbing than the movie. I thought the movie was made pretty well though. I think his best were Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile. When SK wrote The Green Mile he released it bit by bit in monthly installments so that's how I read it. It was kind of cool. Now it's just one book. Delores Claiborn was pretty damn good too as well as Misery. Remember that scene where she hobbles him? Ouch! -------------- (Do not, I repeat DO NOT, take my posts seriously.)

Deap fried turkey is so good and juicy! I also love smoked turkey. You marinate it in brine for 3 days or so and then smoke it at a really low heat for 8 or so hours and it comes out super juicy and tender. It melts in your mouth. -------------- (Do not, I repeat DO NOT, take my posts seriously.)

How is that tasteless? I thought it was clever. He has a true near death experience and decides to use it in a story he's been writing for 20 plus years. I don't see how that's grandiose or tasteless. Then again I'm actually a fan. I liked how the Dark Tower ended.
