Sorry Merrick. That's a dead link. You'd better try again.

haha...When you posted that I was reading it online. It's interesting. Lot's of useful details I hadn't found online elsewhere. I tried to get the Skydiver's handbook from the library but they only had a version from the 80s. I figured that it would be VERY outdated by now and I'm sure it'll be very helpful. Glad I could help out. My book should be here tomorrow and I can't wait to get it and read it all in a few days. I'm starting my AFF hopefully Saturday. Wesley -- I want to fly!

I just ordered mine from Amazon.com and it should be here any day now. Check it out here. Only 15.96 plus shipping. -- I want to fly!

I just applied for another credit card yesterday. I'm going to look into getting a regular loan instead but I think I'm willing to do credit cards if I can't get a loan of some kind. -- I want to fly!

No, I'm not who you think. I haven't been out there yet. I drove out the other day but by the time I got there the weather was nasty so I left without even going in. Monroe is where I'm planning to jump though. I've heard good things about the DZ there. Wesley -- I want to fly!

I was afraid of that. Oh well. I remember going once to the one in Pigeon Forge about 6-7 years ago when I was in High School. I don't know if it'd be worth the drive to go all the way out there from Athens though. (I'm at the University of Georgia) Wesley -- I want to fly!

Are there any windtunnels in Georgia? Specifically in the Atlanta area. I'm probably going to be doing my AFF soon and since I'm a poor College Student can't afford to re-do too many levels. I'd prefer to get a little practice in a windtunnel instead of having to shell out another 150 somewhere along the way. Also, anyone have any opinions on using long-term credit card debt to finance AFF and first rig? It's either that or put off learning to skydive for a year and a half. Thanks. Wesley -- I want to fly!

I've been looking at the Genera too. I'm thinking about doing my AFF soon and want to get a rig soon after. I was going to get used reserve and main but it'll be great to have a new container that will fit right. Has anyone here jumped one? How is it? -- I want to fly!

I don't drink much myself and could imagine it getting old buying a lot of beer. But, I'm willing if that's the way the game is played. BTW, How many beers are considered the appropriate amount? What is a 'case'? -- I want to fly!

Living in Georgia and growing up Southern Baptist I can vouch for the validity of that one. LOL. Good list. Wesley -- I want to fly!

Haha. My Parents would NEVER have put me in a shirt like that. -- I want to fly!

We've decided to definately drive out to the Dropzone saturday. Hopefully the weather will improve. It's been kind of nasty and rainy today and yesterday. I probably won't end up jumping Saturday but I think it'll help both of our nerves a little to watch some before trying it out. I'm starting to get really excited about the prospect of flying. Wesley

I've never been skydiving before but would like to try it out. I've decided to just do a tandom jump to see if I like it before trying to do the AFF sequence. My girlfriend, however, seems to have a problem with me skydiving. She's worried about the dangers involved. Does anyone know or can tell me about any deaths/injuries involving first time tandom skydiving? Also, I think we're going this weekend to visit a DZ so we can look the place over and watch people jump. I figure that if she sees people skydiving maybe she'll be a little better with the idea. Any thoughts/comments? Wesley
