I also agree. It's not censorship since it is on his private property(dz.com). He's made rules for his property and can enforce them. WTG HH Wesley -- I'll see you at 13,5 amongst the clouds.

um....I don't think mine is all that wonderful. I've never been a big fan actually. Wesley -- I'll see you at 13,5 amongst the clouds.

Congrats and welcome back Donna. This story like all your others in beautiful and inspiring. Wesley -- I'll see you at 13,5 amongst the clouds.

Yeah, but the point isn't to protect you if you're going 120. It's to protect you on a lower speed problem such as a low turn or just f'd up landing. I doubt anyone would argue that a helmet would help with a colision at terminal velocity. Anyway, anyone else have an opinion on the Boneheads? I'm thinking about getting one. Wesley -- I'll see you at 13,5 amongst the clouds.

I think it depends on the plane. My dz has a King Air and two Cessna 182's. I'm pretty sure the FAA FAR's state in which planes the pilots have to wear a chute. Not sure why and how they pick which ones though. Wesley -- I'll see you at 13,5 amongst the clouds.

If that's your reason for bringing girls to skydiving why do you want me to get my gf to do it? Haha...it sure as hell wouldn't increase your date chances. (It better not anyway.) And I think adding one would increase by 1/8. Wesley -- I'll see you at 13,5 amongst the clouds.

Damn...it seems you've figured out that I was lying about getting a girl and a necklace when we learn to skydive. I guess it would be impossible anyway. There aren't enough female skydivers. It seems every load I look around and it's only men up there. Wesley -- I'll see you at 13,5 amongst the clouds.
-
You didn't??? Here in the states everyone that learns to skydive gets one. And it's the girl that's supposed to give you the necklace. I guess since you learned in New Zealand they have different traditions. Oh, and it's Stephen Baldwin in Cutaway not William. I thought Cutaway was decent because of the large amounts of skydiving. It gives me something to feed my addiction when I can't be out at the dropzone. Terminal Velocity dissapointed me. Only a few small skydiving scenes. I'm glad these movies are out there though. Dropzone was what got me interested in Skydiving. I saw it 7 years ago and have wanted to skydive ever since. Without these movies a good number of the newer skydivers might not be in the sport. What a horrible dream. I had a dream the other day that someone at my dz without a cypres got knocked out on exit but I swooped down and was able to pull their reserve at about 1500ft. Of course, In real life I'd probably not be able to catch the person and we'd both burn in but it's a dream and I can do whatever I want in a dream. I had another one where the Cessna crashed with the pilot on board after he told us to exit at 2000ft. That was a crappy dream. I don't see how the pilots at my dz can fly us without a parachute. I'm not sure what you should have done but when I had 2 canopies out I learned something. Everyone will have a different opinion on what to do but the only one that matters is you. They aren't up there with the situation. You're the best person to make that call. Wesley -- I'll see you at 13,5 amongst the clouds.

I don't know about in freefall but under canopy this would be cool. I'd like to do a hop-n-pop from full altitude with some good music on the sunset load and watch the sun go down. Sounds like a great end to the day to me. Wesley -- I'll see you at 13,5 amongst the clouds.

Wow. I wish I could write as beautifully as you. You have described to a word the way I feel everyday. We skydivers are a unique people. We truly know the way the eagle must feel as it soars through the sky. None of my whuffo friends understands the beauty I see and feel each weekend. I'm amazed at what I see in the sky now when I used to never even look up. Now every time I'm outside my head is craned up with thoughts of flight in my head. Wesley -- I'll see you at 13,5 amongst the clouds.

The company that makes them is called "Mental Headgear." Their website is http://www.mentalgear.com You can thank me later. I was bored and spent quiet awhile zooming in on the hat on my dvd until I could read it. Wesley -- I'll see you at 13,5 amongst the clouds. Edited by what42 on 7/4/01 10:23 AM.

Welcome back. May the blue skies welcome you home. It's great you're able to come back to this wonderful sport/life. There is nothing like it in this world. Or, at least, nothing like it on the ground. True bliss is found at 13,5. Wesley -- I want to fly!

Congrats on your AFF1. It's great that you and she get to experience this together. I hope one day to be able to jump with my girlfriend. To share something like this with one you love has to be an amazing experience. Blue skies, small puffy white clouds, and a light breeze. Wesley -- I want to fly!

My condolences to his family and friends. I wish the news sources would make more effort than this. Bad information helps no one. Wesley -- I want to fly!
-
You have my condolances...I'm not sure I could be without my cable-modem. Wesley -- I want to fly!
-
Did you watch the video that went along with the article? I'm not sure what she meant either but it has her interview in there. Wesley -- I want to fly!
-
You're getting paychecks again? Congratulations. When did that happen? Wesley -- I want to fly!

To be honest this sounds a hell of a lot like the Libertarian party. Check them out sometime. Very pro-individual rights and pro-capitalism. Against the war-on-drugs and the only party with a plan to eliminate the income tax and truly cutting our big government down to size. Okay, I think that's enough political party promotion for now. Wesley -- I want to fly!

If this guy is as bad as you say I don't think I'd feel comfortable skydiving there regularly. If the DZO doesn't care enough to ground a dangerous instructor then he may not care about airplane servicing, having a good pilot, keeping rental gear safe, etc... Wesley -- I want to fly!

The link on the Gath Hat page should direct you to www.gathsports.com. It doesn't send you anywhere currently Wesley -- I want to fly!

Sorry Blaine...she's mine and you can't have her. I'm trying my best to get Jen hooked like I am then she'll understand why I spend so much time at the dz. Wesley -- I want to fly!

The student gear my my dz has both on their rigs. I don't think I'll get an RSL whenever I buy my own rig. The best me and my DZO could it was the RSL snagging on something that caused my 2 canopies out situation. That situation kind of turned me off on RSL's. I can see how they're useful but I don't think I want one. Wesley -- I want to fly!

*shrug* I've been trying to come up with something better for a few years now but I'm no good at it. 42 is the answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything. What is just what. No real reason for what, it's just the best I could think of. I need a new one at some point. Wesley -- I want to fly!
