    Priceless

wow...one of the many reasons I make sure to visit the bathroom before EVERY jump. Wesley -- I want to fly!
  2. I chose a helmet because with my current landings I'm as likely to hit my head as anything else. Wesley -- I want to fly!
  3. I agree. The recent influx of ALF types posting anonymously is getting annoying. Wesley -- I want to fly!
  4. It's posts like these that make me think that Sangiro should block anonymous posting Wesley -- I want to fly!
  5. ooh....I want to be a coach. Think they'll let me? Wesley -- I want to fly!
  6. Do you ask every woman you are attracted too if they are heterosexual before you hit on them? I doubt it. A simple misunderstanding shouldn't be a cause of resentment. The man/men who hit on you probably didn't know you weren't gay. Unless you wear a sign I doubt it's obvious either way. Wesley -- I want to fly!
  7. I am sorry about your nephew. But, straight men do this all the time to little girls. It is not homosexuals who are to blame but the sick perverts that are pedophiliacs. Whether homo or hetero blame the individual. Groups don't commit actions, people do. Wesley -- I want to fly!
  8. Aw...I can't believe I missed that. If anyone knows when it comes back on tell us. Wesley -- I want to fly!
  9. I've never been around a single gay person who tried to "force" anyone to think or do or accept anything about them. Most of them just want to be able to live their lives without harrassment. Because you disagree with how someone lives their life is no reason to exclude them from your life. There are many people that do things I would not do but I still can enjoy talking to and spending time with them. Excluding everyone but the people just like you from your life is a quick way to miss out on life. Wesley -- I want to fly!

    Happy Hour!!

You could all just move to the US... Wesley -- I want to fly!
  11. Three. I believe the owl tackled this tough question years ago. Wesley -- I want to fly!

    Joke of my day!

I've heard the first one before but they're all hilarious. I wish someone would have taught me how to measure my food. All this time I've been guessing as to whether it would fit or not. Wesley -- I want to fly!
  13. Has anyone ever heard of the Paralert brand audible? I think it's older. I saw one for sale and am curious about the quality of it. Wesley -- I want to fly!
  14. All part of the tax cut. They (congress and Bush) decided to make it retroactive to 2000 which means that everyone gets a little back. Click here to read a CNN article about the tax rebate Wesley -- I want to fly!
  15. Yes this is real. It's been talked about in the news for about a month now. I didn't know they'd released a final schedule of who was getting paid when though. It'll be nice getting a little extra in August. Wesley -- I want to fly!
  16. How do you like the Astra? I haven't seen anyone at my dz using one but the price and lower maintnence costs attract me. Wesley -- I want to fly!
  17. Wow...this thread is old. Every few weeks someone resurects it. Wesley -- I want to fly!
  18. I disagree with your logic here. Whuffos could use your arguement to say that skydiving should be illegal. It would save about 30 lives a year if we banned it. And, if ONE death is prevented at the expense of the rest of us having to quit skydiving, then the law is worthy. Do you agree? I think personal freedom of choice with our own lives is more important. People choose thier own acceptable risks. Wesley -- I want to fly!
  19. Is this a west coast thing? I haven't heard it at my dropzone. (In Georgia) Are many skydiving traditions different from place to place? Wesley -- I want to fly!
  20. I don't think you can be too prepared though I remember my DZO saying I'd read too much when I was asking him about RSL disconnects during my FJC. I, like you, read everything I could get my hands on for months before I jumped. I think as long as you spread out your reading and information gathering over a long period of time you'll be okay. Don't try to cram everything in at the last minute or ideas will be competing for space in your brain. When it's time for your course just concentrate on what they teach you. What they teach will be enough to get you safely to the ground and if you've read a lot of stuff the things in your first jump course will be easier to learn and remember. Have fun. It's an amazing sport. Wesley -- I want to fly!
  21. I've been meaning to write a review for a few weeks but I guess I've been lazy. I'll get around to it some time soon. Wesley -- I want to fly!
  22. I've been boycotting them for years. Not because of any moral issue but just because their food sucks big time. And all there is inside are little kids. Wesley -- I want to fly!
  23. Well, I've only got 10 skydives so I'm sure I'll rack up some more 182 rides. My first 4 were out of a King Air. Then my 5th and 6th jump were the 182. Numbers 7-10 were out of the CASA at the Monroe Boogie last weekend. My dz has a KingAir and 2 182s so I'm sure I'll spend good quality time with the 182.
  24. Small planes can be a little intimidating at first, especially if you start out on a bigger plane. But, the way I see it, whatever gets you to the sky can't be that bad. I actually enjoyed my only two Cessna182 rides. I had a better view outside. Wesley -- I want to fly!
  25. Taking them out to the dropzone will probably help tremendously. I brought my girlfriend out to the dz and we watched all the landings and how much fun everyone was having and now she wants to do a tandem. I imagine it would work the same for your parents. All my Mom said when I told her was, "I know you've wanted to try this for years." She then wanted to know how amazing it was. Wesley -- I want to fly!
