I got pulled over at PHX trying to fly back to the UK. My rig was fine but when they swabbed my laptop it kept coming up positive for explosives. When I explained I deal with them in my job and that it was not surprsing there was a trace on my laptop they let me through - after giving me a pat down. I'm drunk, you're drunk, lets go back to mine....

All of that Eloy beer was (very) low alcohol. Last year the Brits were completely sober as we were urinating it out faster than we could drink the stuff to get drunk. I'm drunk, you're drunk, lets go back to mine....

Yes but the previous 31 days of drinking involved American beer which has such a low alcohol content that you could become more not less sober while drinking it. Do you see any reductions in our insurance? I see a reduction in our coverage coming up but no reduction in the cost! At least 1 DZ is threatening to pull out of the BPA due to their insurance policies and I would not be surprised if another doesn't follow. I'm drunk, you're drunk, lets go back to mine....

They have to put it to a vote - we (the membership) have to approve the budget - of which the insurance is a chunk. If we don't approve it thay HAVE to go away and look at it again. I'm drunk, you're drunk, lets go back to mine....

Lets hope that people actually vote against the increase this year. We are being ripped off - German insurance is less, cover is the same and is worldwide. Last year we were lied to - "if you don't vote this in you will not be able to skydive" Stand up and vote against it. Rant over. I'm drunk, you're drunk, lets go back to mine....

just flown back from the states. Took my rig and laptop as hand luggage. Having made several internal flights in the States was not expecting any problems. Rig went through no problems but they took exception to my laptop - swabbed it 3 times and gave me a pat down even though I have already passed through the metal detector with no problems. not sure if it was my laptop or their detector that was the problem but would much prefer them to be too suspicious than too idle. I'm drunk, you're drunk, lets go back to mine....

Jumped there last week - I jumped the cessna caravan but they do have a 182. The landing area is ok but if you want a larger out go for the main 'studen't area. I thought the place was excellent with a very friendly staff.

The ejection seats are not operational but I was in the instructors seat so my controls could override the pilots controls. "Do NOT touch ANYTHING!" I'm drunk, you're drunk, lets go back to mine....

I think I have finally found something better than skydiving. Last night was the New Years Eve party at Eloy and they were drawing a raffle for the chance to ride in Larry's L39 jet - and I won Today I got to have a go in it with his son flying. The L39 is a jet trainer - 2 seater aircraft which is effectively an engine with 2 seats and wings. After take off ( and a barrel role over the DZ) we flew to the mountains and did impressions of TopGun - flying sideways between peaks and skimming along the ground just over the top of the cactus plants. Inverted roles and tight turns completed a brilliant ride. It was one of the most superb experiences. Not bad for a $10 raffle ticket! The pilot was excellent and I think I will have to start saving up my pocket money to buy me one! I'm drunk, you're drunk, lets go back to mine....

Am sat in the DZ.com tent in Eloy and am bored. Have been to see the aircraft graveyard in Tuson but they will only let you round if you have pre-registered and obviously I hadn't. However you can see a lot from the road and it is hugely impressive. No jumping due to the wind and rain .... bored I'm drunk, you're drunk, lets go back to mine.... -
