You should be able to land your main under a wide variety of circumstances, wind, spot etc. You should be able to land your reserve in EVERY condition in which you will jump - high wind, nil wind, bad spot and off landing, as when you cutaway these situations will present themselves - usually at a low altitude. If you are not confident enough that you will not face-plant a landing in the mud on your main then a more heavily loaded reserve will do more than get your kit muddy!!! Friend of mine got very drunk in a nightclub once and at the end of the evening was exchanging phone numbers with the young lady met in there and had been dancing with all night. Speaking to the staff at Nethers the Buy One Get One Free weekend is still def on. They have the three aircraft - Caravan, Turbine Islander and Piston Islander. Tickets will only be usable that weekend. The theme for the Saturday night party is School Days (short skirts and pigtails - and that's just the blokes) I look forward to seeing you all there. Have been out in California for 2 weeks and haven't seea single solar cell, yet keep seeing news reports about the power problem here and the pollution problem. I would have thought that with all the sun here solar would be an ideal power source. I'm drunk, you're drunk, lets go back to mine....

I was on the flight line once and an instructor asked a new cat 8 what his new hook knife was for. The student correctly replied for clearing a lineover on my reserve. The instructor then asked how he would know which line to cut. "i would just start cutting the lines on one side till I got the right one." personally I think if you are on your reserve an have a lineover you would do better to carry a pocket bible rathr then hook knife as it is clearly not your day. 200 USA/500 uk jumps to fly birdman ????

The uk only has a recommendation not a fixed rule. It is that you have to have 250 jumps in the last 18 months I did my first one at the DZ.com boogie at christmas and it was superb but I can understand the reasons for a high degree of currency as all of your drills are different. 8 weeks is nothing. My girlfriend ordered a Javlin last year and has only just picked it up. When you phone Sunpath they recommend you get a smaller container thatn you were going to order because by the time it arrives you are ready to downsize they do make good rigs though. Don't worry about it. I came the the USA to jump my ass off for 2 weeks, ended up injuring myself 4 days in and now wont be able to jump for the next couple of months. Just look forward to the next weekend and waste your time at work dreaming about all the points you are going to turn. I'm drunk, you're drunk, lets go back to mine....

About 5 years ago I compressed a vertebra. It took me a couple of years to find a doc who would sign me off to go jumping but since then I have had no dramas - til 3 days ago. Jumping in the tunnel I landed on my head and have suffered a compression fracture in 2 vertebrae. Am seriously annoyed as came out to the States to get good for the upcoming season and will now miss a chunk of it. The only piece of advice I can give is make sure you have good medical insurance - you never know know when you will need it, oh and morphine is not all it is cracked up to be. I'm drunk, you're drunk, lets go back to mine....

Home is where you feel comfortable. I learnt at Topcliffe in England and spent many a happy weekend there watching the rain. I moved down South and was told it later closed. Shame it was a good place with fun people. I'm drunk, you're drunk, lets go back to mine.... -
I have spent this week learning to pack tandem rigs. My girlfriend burst into laughter when she found out as she spent most of last season packing my main for me. But I can do it and the extra money will be nice. I'm drunk, you're drunk, lets go back to mine....

I have found that people tend to send me PMs rather than e-mail as the "New message" flashes up when you have a pm but you can't tell if you have an e-mail. I don't tend to use my dz.com address for non skydiving stuff so it is fairly small but I still don;t want to miss stuff. I'm drunk, you're drunk, lets go back to mine....

I think that he should be charged with the maximum possible. Why does he think that he can be paid for many years for doing nothing and when the time comes for him to earn his money he runs away?
