Any chance of having the option to change user names in the profile? I hate to register a second time just to have a cool name. Thanks

Look for "CRASH" ... it's a great flick, and possible OSCAR winner. It's one of those films that makes you keep thinking about it afterwards. _________________________ Website: Dick’s Stuff Maybe the reason skydivers party so much is because at the end of the day they're glad they survived jumping.

I jumped at Brisbane Skydiving Centre a couple of years ago and met Brian Scoffell. If you're seeing this Brian ... GET WELL. Hope you're doing OK in the hospital. And condolences to the families of those who didn't make it! Dick

For some reason I couldn't sleep last night and calculated some numbers you may find interesting. During the "Twelve Days of Christmas" between Dec 25th and Jan 6th (when the Wise Guys arrive), if someone gave their true love all the things in the song, there would be 364 items. ___________________________________ # items __________________ ___________________________ # days __ per day __ Totals _________ A partridge a pear tree * _________ 12 ____ 1 ____ 12 partridges Two turtle doves * ______________ 11 ____ 2 ____ 22 doves Three French horns ______________ 10 ____ 3 ____ 30 horns Four calling birds * _______________ 9 ____ 4 ____ 36 calling birds Five golden' rings ________________ 8 ____ 5 ____ 40 rings Six geese a-laying * ______________ 7 ____ 6 ____ 42 geese Seven swans a-swimming * ________ 6 ____ 7 ____ 42 swans Eight maids a-milking _____________ 5 ____ 8 ____ 40 maids Nine ladies dancing _______________ 4 ____ 9 ____ 36 ladies Ten lords a-leaping _______________ 3 ___ 10 ____ 30 lords Eleven pipers piping' ______________ 2 ___ 11 ____ 22 pipers Twelve drummers drumming ________ 1 ___ 12 ____ 2 drummers Total all items = 364 The most of one kind = 42 geese and 42 swans The least of one kind = 12 partridges and 12 drummers * NOTE: possible carriers of Bird Flu _________________________ Website: Dick’s Stuff

When my son arrived, for the first time I found myself willing to lay down my life for someone. You love skydiving, right? There's so much to be experienced before anyone dies.

FROM A NEW ZEALAND NEWS SERVICE ... Engineer Bob Harris has created Skyboard, a sleek personalized skydiving glider which might be the next big thing in extreme aviation sports. "This is new generation aviation, the ultimate prolonged skydiving experience. I believe its potential in the world of extreme sports is huge and it's not hard to see that a craft that can reach speeds of 280kmh, can stay airborne for 20 minutes, and that can be easily transportable to launch height could have military implications, too," Harris said. Skyboard took flight on October 25 from 10,000ft as Australian test pilot and skydiver Paul Smith were released from a helicopter. Smith, a veteran of nearly 12,000 parachute jumps, and who has flown more than 25 types of aircraft, was ecstatic. "My hands were shaking afterwards, not from fear but from sheer excitement," Smith said. Skyboard is a 1.7m capsule in which the pilot lies face down with hands free for working the controls. The pilot uses elevator controls to fly the glider before making a wheels-down or parachute-assisted landing. I thought it was a great movie the way it was produced ... the acting, music, visuals, etc. How did they pull off those scenes of oil wells on fire? Gonna re-read the book now.

If Arizona doesn't participate because more sunshine means more summertime HEAT ... they should do just the opposite and go to "night savings time". In other words, move their clocks back an hour in Spring, and forward in Fall. That would make the sun go down earlier in Summer bringing cooler nighttime temperatures to backyard babeques, etc. When I was studying at ASU I could never convince anyone this was a good idea.

Why isn't anyone mentioning Eugene Skydivers DZ in Creswell? Is that too far away? Fun people, and a nice clean Caravan to altitude on weekends.

Jump off the Auckland Tower! It's not quite like a real base jump, but it's still a fun thing to do.

The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71. Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, and Captain Crunch. The grave site was piled high with flours. Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded. Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being a little flaky at times he still was a crusty old man and was considered a roll model for millions. Doughboy is survived by his wife Play Dough, two children, John Dough and Jane Dough, plus they had one in the oven. He is also survived by his elderly father, Pop Tart. The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes.
