Recent Experiences with Carry-On Bags in USA? (Feb 2009)
DeNReN replied to mdrejhon's topic in Safety and Training
I went to Orlando from Halifax with my rig in checked baggage...dude at the X ray asked me if it was a parachute and that was all. Bought too much stuff in Florida and took rig as a carry on not in a bag...TSA girl at Orlando asked to swab my rig saying she would not open it...handed it back and actually appoligized for swabbing it. -
Made my 1st trip to the states, Florida the other week....It was 3 deg C when we left Nova Scotia ...It was 5 deg C when we arrived in Orlando Average afternoon temp was 14 deg C for our week....not what I was hoping for but still better then home....was kinda funny walking around Universal in a T shirt when others were wearing jackets with hats and gloves...

EEK!!!! I was joking about the epoxy!!!! and meant to add it internally Any stop leak product you add is rolling the dice. A engine that old with that many miles will have almost all seals and gaskets died out to the point of leaking...how severe the leaks are is what matters. My 1st question was...whats leaking? you may have 20 minor leaks that you can live with but one major one that is just dumping out fluid and requires repair. A major leak is not likely to be fixed by a stop leak product. Edited to add: how much fluid are you going through?? is there a actual drip? etc etc?

I finally got to see it in IMAX last weekend. I was not dissapointed...it did not seem preachy or whatever some are calling it. One sceen seemed out of scale with the story...anyone care to take a guess at it?

So whats leaking? Is it what we refer to as "self undercoating" ? Stop leak products may or may not work depending on whats leaking and how bad it leaks...but roll the dice if you want. A few litres of epoxy will fix almost any leak

We are still waiting on pictures.

I'm gona say this one more time....Ford did NOT go through all the expence to change over a plant to make a different engine block for one run of transmissions. a 2002 4.0l block is a 2002 4.0l block. Edited to add: do yourself a favor...call up a few junkyards and price out a transmission with bell housing, flywheel, slave cyinder and hell toss in a rear mount and crossmember just incase .....only use a junkyard disk and pressure plate if it looks mint.

Back to the hijack this is very interesting....so let me get this straight....my sabre 150 loaded @ 1.3 has a super short recovery arc. will a sabre 135 loaded @ 1.48 have a longer recovery arc??? I also jump a sabre 170 loaded @ 1.17 on ocassion and havent noticed a difference...but that could just be me.....I have noticed a hugh difference when jumping a friends sabre2 135...but that is comparing apples to oranges.
