A car starter only requires 12 volts on most modern vehicles sold in NA. A car starter does however draw high amperage.... I try to avoid threads such as this....too many people who think they know what they are talking about...

Seriously? They are 30 years old. Lifetime warranty...not a 29 year warranty...lifetime I have found old rusted to shit Vise Grips and locked them in a vise and taken a BFH to them to finish them off....exchanged for new.
