  1. Thanks , It's great to get some input from these forums, just need a couple of jumps to give me that eye opening sense of confidence. I know and will not play with the big boys until I am comforatble with my own skills. I always get out with alot of seperation and stay away from others, I will not try to fly with the group because I now have my A. I will wait for them to ask me.
  2. At the start of skydiving we all have issues (things that have work on). I had my own such as exits, then to the potato chipping then the final set up. I worked on those things to make it better. Now I have this issue (last 2 jumps) when I reach for the hackey,I am dipping my shoulder... The rig I have now with 6 jumps on it (G3) the hackey is in a different spot. It's up a little higher. Therefore I am reaching)not good) because just when I start to flip my pilot is already out. I only have 56 jumps but going back to coach jumps next week. If any newbies out there are reading this please go into the pull postion and hold for a few seconds then dump. And for anyone who can throw me a little bit of advice with this issue would be a great help. I will do as many coach jumps as needed to remedy this issue because I know it's dangerous if not done right and I am fortunate that I am here to share this. I have a big ass riser burn on my cheek from this morning. thanks for listening

  4. I know the feeling. I started adding things up and was afraid to look at the calculater each time I pressed the + button. Hey don't think of the $, just think of the good time, great laughs, great people, the high fives, goofing on one your buddies when he gets a grass stain on his forehead, the beer, the BBQ's, laughing in the video room from a continuous funnel. Man it goes on & on and I don't wanna sound like the mastercard commercial but it is without a doubt @#$%ing "priceless. Blue skies all, ***Don't pet the swetty things

  7. try ockokabee(or what ever that lake is called) and ask for Wllie "t" he is a camera guy but a super nice guy , great sense of humor and a real talented skydiver. Enjoy
  8. My daughter was getting married and I wanted to have a great party and I did it just by eliminating the little things $10 here $10 there, hey it ads up. The same goes for skydiving, if you want it, you will make changes to make it happen. Don't get bummed out, life is not a dress rehersal, therefore spend your money and enjoy. The people that you meet in this sport is without a doubt "priceless". Enjoy, be safe & smart and remember... ***don't pet the swetty things
  9. Just making a point, why buy it and not turn it on. Yeah one can forget, understood. Some of the old time jumpers dont use them, thats ok. I prefer to use one. I bought the cypress 2... not bad $1175.00

  11. yup, beyond normal. you sound like an intelligent woman, therefore ask some intelligent questions. Maybe start a thread with can I sue the people who made the hand lotion that I put on prior to jumping and my hand slipped off the reserve
  12. I just bought a $1200.00 watch that I don't or ever intend to wear?????????
  13. you have gone beyond, maybe you should check for germs on the canopy prior to purchase
  14. We all here try to ask questions that would make this sport safer and to get a majority answer is usually a great guidline, therefore bundle up your law books, orange tags.waivers and wrap them up in some zp nylon and go away.
  15. What the hell is wrong with you??? Your in this sport for a long time (according to your profile). Did you post this just to rattle a cage??? Did you forget the ORANGE tag (as posted from a prior voicer) before engaging in this sport?? If I am going to get like you after years of skydiving I should give it up now. I think I will sue Mother Nature for making the ground TOO hard!!!!***Don't pet the swetty things
  16. Go to the hand shake method!!!!***Don't pet the swetty things
  17. I am in the same boat (55) jumps also 47 yrs old. Landing issues?? Yup. Scott made a good post "feet and knees together" We are not too old to skydive but it sucks to learn at 47 as we dont bounce back as quick after a crash & burn. Good luck brother ***don't pet the swetty things
