  1. Thats a little trickier-LOL, tyhe only way I have been able to do that so far is to click on peoples names or search for their names. Since all registered users across the whole site can access the forum their names should be in the "master" list also. So while it may take abit more searching, the main list might be what your goonna have to do. Unless the have posted before or you know of a name you can search for. All users, forum included are in the main list though. I havent found a way to just search the forum users and I dont think there is one. 11. Well-LOL- from tapew its a little tricky and expensive/ takes up much file space. You'll need a really good preogram like ADOBE GOlive(really expensive) to edit/optimize the frames of the movie, a computer-(duh) with a TV card / capture abilities, and a good VCR. Then you have to learn how to use it all. Alot of $$$ and effort for a weekend worth of video, maybe you could get your video gurus to download it to a computer based format while its digital. Then all you need is a free program like Real Producer, (plays with real player), or any good pc cam software will get it into a windows format for you. (AVI'S are huge files) hope that helps D.Chisolm C-28534 webmaster@sunraydesigns.com http://www.sunraydesigns.com
  12. I have alot but they are all really wore out and I need new ones. My "Raven saves lives" shirt I got from my first reserve ride was my favorite, till it literally fell apart-LOL D.Chisolm C-28534 webmaster@sunraydesigns.com http://www.sunraydesigns.com
  13. Thats cool triple F. Gene was one of my JM's on my level 2, along with russ D, sucks he moved, but life goes on. He taught me alot about paking as well. And many other things. (phone calls) There is nothing wrong with flat packing. Your name sounds familiar but you need a pic-LOL. Yeah I saw that dutch. They must pass them out at staff meetings-LOL D.Chisolm C-28534 webmaster@sunraydesigns.com http://www.sunraydesigns.com
  14. Well its sad to say the least, I jump in Georgia, and I believe I know a great deal of the people who jump there, or I have met them at one time or another. The sad truth is that there are is probably only one or two people responsible for the whole advertising strategy, and most jumpers, even the ones who jump there probably didnt even know this was going on untill mr Vance spoke up on rec. Then we have the new jumpers, the first timers and the general public. What in the world are they gonna think? I'm sure you can imagine. Seems everyone knows about this for the most part now, word has spread fast. But these people outside of the skydiving community just get duped. Which sucks. WOnder how many people have not spoken up yet that have driven an extra 3 hours, didnt get their moneys worth, or got skimmed on the advertised altitude. blah blah blah Yes this disturbs me D.Chisolm C-28534 webmaster@sunraydesigns.com http://www.sunraydesigns.com
  15. Well, thats how they make their $$$, so they probably will want to do as many instruction jumps as possible. However its been my experience that lots of em do get in a "fun jump" or two at the end of the day. And quite often I have seen them take weekends off and go jump at other boogies in a variety of places to make the bal;ance worth it. 16. Good one dutch,at least ypou got yours geared up! but I think skysue is right. My GF of 3 years is a whuffo to the bone, cant even get her into the wind tunnel :) hopefully she knows me well enough to know that I'm probably not going to stop skydiving just becasue she wants me too. So far she has been cool about it, I know she worries when I go but you gottas llove em for that-LOL Its been my expereince that you'll have a hard time convincing someone who doesnt't like it, or understand it, to thinking its ok. I would tell you to put your right hand on the yellow pillow, but itys gonna be up to each individial to decide whether is landable or not-LOL- D.Chisolm C-28534 webmaster@sunraydesigns.com http://www.sunraydesigns.com Edited by cyberskydive on 3/4/01 05:59 AM.
  17. WOW, didnt know so many from around the southeast here-LOL wonder if I know any of you? I know a few of the names you mentioned from ASC, all great folks, I believe a few of my AFF jumpmasters or folks that used to jump in Monroe when I started skydiving in 96 are jumping there these days. Definately some good folks there, as is the case anywhere i presume. Do you mean Gene K as in "Big" Army former Golden KNight? I heard that he moved to wisconsin or something??? Anyhow thats all I have to go on. I know a few folks there and I know what I have seen on the net and the rest is stories and comments from others. I had no opinion of them before all this mess started sprouting up-LOL. I figured when B VAnce started raising hell that maybe I should listed a little, and the Saga continues-LOL- rec. skydiving is funnier than ever. With all the hoopla going on I've seen quite a few familiar names pop up, people who I know and value their opinions. On a lighter note, I'll be finishing up the new skydive monroe website here in the next week or so hopefully. I hope everyone takes the time to stop by and give me some comments on it. The one that is up now has been up quite a while, and my goal is to make the new site both fun and informative. Lots of folks from the DZ are chipping in with what they can, making my job that much easier and ensuring that the new site kicks butt. Weather sucks here-LOL blues everyone! D.Chisolm C-28534 webmaster@sunraydesigns.com http://www.sunraydesigns.com
  18. Nope, sorry I dont have the slightest clue-LOL, Ice-swooping pond?- New concept?? I didnt even know they had a super-otter-LOL. Lots of planes move around this time of year it seems. With the Northern DZ's getting ready to re-open and all. Most dz's lease their larger more popular jump planes, prolly get a better deal in the winter and in the summer whiz-bang, but I'm just assuming. The costs of leasing these planes are HUGE! Owning one is even worse. Can you imagine what any DZ has to pay in insurance for them? LOL. On the other hand you might think that with the spring coming, more $$ would be rollin in, who knows-LOL, with this weather we will all be road-tripping to skydive! D.Chisolm C-28534 webmaster@sunraydesigns.com http://www.sunraydesigns.com
  19. Where do I start? From my first boogie? OK, I'll always remember it. Sept 96. Caravan Memorial Boogie, JUmpin out of the Casa for the first time with a bunch of freinds that I graduated from AFF with. Best feelin in the world! That boogie there is probably one of the ones that kept me jumping! All we were doin was two ways and stuff all weekend, nothin fancy. Too bad there is only ONE guy whom I graduated AFF with, or around the same time as, that still jumps. That kicked ass though! 20. Decending, Flat, Collapsed, 25 per page, I view pics with posts, etc. I'm on a cable connection so load times are not really a factor. I ussually like to read each post thus the flat mode. D.Chisolm C-28534 webmaster@sunraydesigns.com http://www.sunraydesigns.com
  21. WOW Dutchboy! Those new reviews are slammers! LOL I'm staying away from this from now on. Read my posts above I'm to lazy to type it out again. -LOL I did finally get an e-mail response- from a refferal agency, telling me I needed to call and talk with the DZo's if I wanted to contact them. How nice. D.Chisolm C-28534 webmaster@sunraydesigns.com http://www.sunraydesigns.com
  22. Yeah I got one, I dont need anymore credit-LOL- But I need some new gear! It cam along with my parachutist today, which actually has some good reading. D.Chisolm C-28534 webmaster@sunraydesigns.com http://www.sunraydesigns.com
  23. Frtom what I know your pretty much right. And in the past I have seen a few folks who still jump them. I know I passed one up when it was time to buy my first rig. If for no other reason than the fact that it just would have made me uncomfortable. Maybe some of the older folks can give you some more insight into their history. D.Chisolm C-28534 webmaster@sunraydesigns.com http://www.sunraydesigns.com
  24. maybe we can slide a few in in the late afternoon, after the wind gusts hopefully.(sunday) I'm goin to the dz today anyhow though/. but I dont live 100 miles away-LOL- more like 10 D.Chisolm C-28534 webmaster@sunraydesigns.com http://www.sunraydesigns.com
