I to am happy with my voodoo. and also have about 1200 jump on mine and other than the cracking issue will continue to use it. but the back design (full clam shell) makes it hard to get good up angles which made me learn how to be a better sit/back fly-r. so greg actually contributed to my skydiving progress and for that i will always be great full. but the FLAT TOP PRO from bone head is the best top mount platform i've seen and the open back sure makes it easier to get better up angles when belly flying. RIP GREG

The joys of working at home. I can see everything. but i've seen better, worth the check though.

I know that if your on a mac you can use eye-tv and import right to your hard drive. eye-tv does not see the protection on the DVD and then you can export to another DVD or your camcorder with no protection issues. PC's i don't know about.

Yea slappie i want my HBB and ricky has put on allot of weight in the years sense the show stopped. but metallica as hosts?. get dave mustain to host the show he's a skydiver or anggie everhart or ricky martin (ROFLOL). i really think slayer should host but MTV probably does not want to build a new set for every show after they destroy it. anthrax who were the first guests on HBB should also be considered, scott ian is really good at interviewing people and anthrax is a good time all around. i to will be keeping an eye on this subject. scotty

I offer them but they have to wait 3-4 days. but they get a better edit to. price=25.00 i've always under priced my self but i do the work while i am watch tv so it's not like i'm really going out of my way and i get $20.00 bucks an hour while watching the boob tube i don't think that is that bad a deal?. i just got toast so i'm looking at VCD instead of DVD but DVD's are getting cheaper buy the day. but if you can offer DVD's be fair about it. also i think that some folks try to get there money back on the investment to fast 2-3 years for a $1000 dollar purchase seems reasonable but 1 year is to fast to me. scotty

that was one time i sat i awe of how good david could skysurf, especially sense it was his first time i think, the double total and splash down was better than peggy hill bouncing. LOL

Also after market len's are much more expensive (for the vx-2000) due to the 58mm vs 37mm thread/bayonet mounts. some thing else to consider when buying a new camcorder.

the optical Image stabilization is the problem like prost said. but the optical stailization on the pdx-10 is not as bad as the dcr-trv 900-950 or so i heard from a sony rep who has allot of knowladge about skydiving and the use of consumer cameras for skydiving. i would like to point out that sony does not honor warranties on consumer camcorders and does not recommend them for skydiving (but they sponsor events were almost all camerapeople are using consumer not pro-sumer?) but say that pro camcorders (pd-100a,pd-150.pdx-10) are ok for skydiving and the pro camcorders are built on a heavy duty frame affording more protection and a longer life span. (get the vx-2000)

Just a little saying that was passed on to me just after my first camera jump. When you get to your 100th video you'll think that your 1st video was horrible When you get to 200 videos you'll think that your 100th was horrible. When you get to 300 videos you'll think that your 200th was horrible etc etc etc first camera and a pieing soon. have fun

Importance of downsizing in swoop devolpment?

I went from a 250 f111 to a z-p 150 pretty large change over night but i waited until i had 300 jumps before this change. i think that learning to swoop under a slightly larger canopy and then transitioning down is better than just doing a massive down sizing. i am under a stiletto 120/135s now but have jumped as small as a 97 and really did not see or feel the change that i was told to expect?. (tell tim i said hi) -

I've got TDM pics that look just like that. and i really don't know why some folks seem to feel that the uspa is some god like orgainzation. there running uspa because they can't work in the real skydiving world. bummer about skydive america.
