I'm a dickhead. That is what it says.

Michele, as usual I completely agree with you. Women can harass us way worse than men. (Sorry, Txblonde.) Gosh, I had something very similar to what happened to you, Michele, happen to me at a past job. My boss was VERY physically beautiful, though. The man that she was interested in was the owner of the company that she and I worked for. He was her secret lover as he was married, but he wanted me. I just wanted to do my job. I worked hard, until I could leave for a better job with the nicest female boss that I have ever had. Eventually, she (the first boss, not the nice one) was fired for her ineptness. Karma does work sometimes.

What DZ to Go in New yorK?
VanillaSkyGirl replied to SkyOCiel's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Tarrytown is lovely for weddings. My brother was married there a year ago last June and had his reception in Tappan Hill. It was absolutely classy and gorgeous. The only downside was the financial part. He paid for it himself, and the catering alone was $225.00 per head. It was not a small wedding. I only began skydiving this year, but can you imagine how many jumps that would be? It's funny when you begin to see everything that you pay for in terms of how many jump tickets you can buy... -
97 lb. I've jumped rigs that were heavier than that. You're telling me! Those student rigs, with the 280 mains, did quite a number on my back! I looked like a turtle. I look forward to Sunday, Sparky! tmontana ~ Yes, get the nylon fabric option, for sure. I recommend Bev for your RW suits, but I also hear that Tony is wonderful. Firefly is awesome for freefly suits. Also, make sure that someone knowledgeable measures you. Good luck & blue skies!

Sorry, no, as I am a nerdy "good-girl". However, your pics were very funny and made me laugh a lot!

La Casa del Jardin...cool. (Turning ominous) Heed my warning, oh ye, of little faith...hehehe! Edited: Oooops...did I type that? J/K!

I honestly don't know. I have only "floated" twice, though. It was unexpected as I seem to have a good range. If I go low, I can usually correct it in the blink of an eye. I have just bought a weight belt because it will make my life much easier now that I have decided to pursue more serious RW. However, I have never worn the belt as I have recently downsized my main and had only jumped one day since buying it.

Uh...Sparky, I just weighed myself the other day. I am 97 lbs. I am not wearing spray paint, and I have never worn lead, yet. Are we still jumping together a couple of times at Perris on Sunday?

always been a big fan of the "wonderwoman pose" have an old (girl)friend who does that in nearly every picture for some strange reason... BLAH!!! No, no, no! Not this silly picture of me! I had a picture of Skymama as my avatar! The attachment is what I had up. I would do it again, but as Andrea's official "bytch-slapper"...I would have to SLAP myself!

Thank you, Keely, sweetie. I voted.

I HAD to make you laugh!!! I know, I know. I was very bad. Please don't ban me! (Rushing to change my avatar back!)
-
Oh boys, press refresh. What do you all think of My new icon? LOL! Just kidding, Andrea. I just thought that we could all use a laugh. I will go change it! Edited to add: I HAD a picture of the lovely Skymama in MY latest avatar. It was sooo funny! You guys all missed a great joke...

A LO should be someone who spreads good will around the DZ and usually has a smile on their face all the time because they are enjoying what they are doing. That's nice because I was asked by an out-of-towner if I was a Load Organizer at Elsinore! -

Jump Ticket prices going up at Perris
VanillaSkyGirl replied to scottjaco's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
At any of the really large drop zones, anybody of any personality, style or discipline can almost always find -somebody- of a similar personality, style or discipline to jump with. If you can't, you probably aren't trying -- at all. Quade, Ripped Cord was just asking a question that he did not know the answer to. He PMed me to tell me that he just got his license last weekend. (Congratulations, Ripped!) He is really friendly and outgoing as a person , but he is NEW to skydiving. Many people forget what that is like. When first went to Perris, I only had 14 jumps AND was coming from a small, newly closed, non-USPA DZ. (MANY people scoffed. ) Our experiences/interaction with others at a DZ are obviously different as students. I obviously couldn't jump with anyone else that was not a coach or instructor. Therefore, my experience as a pre-"A" license student during WEEKDAYS ONLY was different than yours. (The Canadian and British military was training when I was there.) When I went to Elsinore for the first time as a student, I just happened to feel more at home there. (I was able to rip out my 18th, 19th 20th jumps & "A" license in one afternoon after stopping by at 2 p..m. on a weekday!) Also, I have felt at home at EVERY other DZ (only 1/2 dozen so far) that I have visited. I think that my experiences at Perris were a fluke. That is why I am going back for a day of fun jumping. My skydiving still sucks (LOL!), but my prior experiences had more to do with my student situation than anything else. I also have to say that I met a man at Perris that owned the hangar, and he WAS VERY NICE. He tried to make me feel at home. -
on a beautiful, slightly chilly partly cloudy California morning, my wonderful groom drove us to one of the most beautiful places on earth. We aboarded a catamaran, watched a balloon inflate..Dave carried me over the side of the basket and we became man and wife, about 3000 ft over the lake (in between balloon heatings. This is one of the most romantic things that I have ever heard. I am sooo hapy for you both (even though I have yet to meet either one of you...LOL!) A HUGE congratulations from me! I guess when you find the perfect fit, happily ever after can exist. [gush] Sigh...how romantic! Ther's hope for the rest of us...

Hey, I should have known that you were in here, SS. Miss Sue, are you talking about me behind my BACK? You are only saying that because you have a pic of my bum. The others probably think that I am joking.
