It's ok, sweetie. You were trying to help. Let me fill you in...I never pack for myself. The main reason why is because I have a couple of chronic illnesses and am not supposed to be putting my body through that kind of stress. Sometimes my health keeps me from jumping, too. It's better to keep me from packing than jumping, right? I try to do as little to aggravate my conditions as possible...the more I can skydive, the better. I can't explain further because it's too private, but trust me...it sucks that I have to shell out that kind of dough. Anyway, that's why it's an especially funny suggestion when heard by the people who know me.

Oh Kris, how I needed you today! After the doctor's appointment, I filled my tank, and then I went through the Drive-thru Carwash. My car had Perris and Elsinore dust on it... Thanks for the nice post...

Well...I obviously wouldn't care as much if the weather was bad and if my fellow skydivers in the state couldn't jump. It's knowing that I can and not being able to join in on my friend's fun that is upsetting. I hate being teased like that. It sucks. I broke my ankle when: * it's summer...I am one of those bony freaks who is NEVER warm, so being on the plane in 110 degree heat is comfortable and even preferred I am actually warm enough for once! * I live in Southern California and can jump at Perris Elsinore, San Diego, etc. any day of the week (or fly in the tunnel) * I am going to miss a bunch of boogies all summer long, including the big one ~ WFFC (It would have been my first year...) * I had some goals and plans which I will have to put on hold for 1/3 of a year (I had major plans for myself...and I will STILL follow through when my ankle heals...just have to wait for another year) * my skydiving was at a huge turning point...I was improving and learning so much & sooo HUNGRY to begin to compete and even push myself with beginner bigways & wingsuit flying... Well, when I am healed...I am going to be ALL OVER IT!!! I can already tell that I am going to be hungry for it... Grrrrrrr....

Apparently, my ankle may be worse than I originally thought. Based on the ER X-ray that he examined, the orthopedic specialist that I saw today claims that it looks worse than just a chip that broke off my talus. He pointed out to me what looks like a crack that goes straight through. This would make the fracture much more complicated. I do not need an operation as of now. He did not want to take more X-rays today since I just had them done on Friday. Instead, he wants to X-ray my ankle in 3 weeks with my cast still on. (Yes, they put a cast on today. It's black.) I'm to have my ankle completely immobile for at least 2 months. When it finally heals enough, he says that I can then begin to relearn how to walk. He told me that I would not be skydiving for about 4 months. I know that I should count my blessings, but I'm pretty sad.

I have to get ready to go to my doctor now, but here's a poop load of avatar pics. Let me know if they turn up the same results. It would be hilarious if all the pics yielded different results. Wish me luck with with my ankle, everyone...

Lol...actually, my ex HATES when people compare me to Penelope. He claims that I am waaaay prettier...lmao...um, OK. He claims that I totally look similar to Salma, though. I wonder if he mean body or face? I am so cunfused because I don't think that I look like either...but I will take the compliments, I guess. Edited: I almost forgot the funniest one...my ex also claims that I look like Elisabeth Hurley...other people have said this too. It's sooo weird....I don't know what they mean at all. My ex says that my face resembles hers, and that my body is exactly the same. Geez...love is blind, I guess!

Hmmm...I haven't been coached by him, yet. I flew on an 8-way jump with him on Memorial Day weekend, though. Good stuff!

YAY Michele! Who is this "he"that you had your coaching with? He sounds like fun! I've never had anyone who "crept up", unless you mean "follow the leader" and were mimicking his actions. The 360s and him moving around on you sounds like sooo much fun! You must have been doing well. I've had coaches change drills suddenly in the tunnel if I am easily doing the drills. They like to challenge us by changing levels, turning on the speed & moving aroundduring drills with the hopes of trying to throw us off. Lmao...it's sooo much fun! I'm so glad that you had a good time! I'll bet you are improving a lot!

Yeah...next year sounds good! Also, when I'm better...I'd love to do a jump or two with you. I can't believe that I had to miss Bridge the Gap... Man, I am a little sad still...it's so silly. The sky isn't going, anywhere, right? Actually, I have such a high pain threshold that I didn't think that it was sooo bad...but the ER doctors told me that it was broken. Too bad I walked on it (ouch...that REALLY hurt). Good thing that Kris picked me up an carried me into the ER! I think that the break is not too bad at all...at least, that's what I'm hoping!
