Hey FlyAngel2! DiabloPilot is on Top of The World!
VanillaSkyGirl replied to Deuce's topic in The Bonfire
That picture always cracks me up... -
Wow ~ that's pretty cool. Yup...I sent some earlier (not much, but I'll send more soon), although I'm not going. I hope that everyone has a good time!!!

NO. Perhaps you can be her friend...

Did a successful Mr. Bill this weekend
VanillaSkyGirl replied to Conundrum's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Isn't he nice? He also asked me when we did ours...I had never met him before that jump...lol! It was totally last minute, too. The sunset load was full, but they bumped three people for us and JP to do camera. JP wasn't even wearing shoes an had no time to put them on (2 minute call). That SO COOL, 'Chelle! You're awesome, girl! I have to admit that I would never want to stand up on his shoulders myself. I prefer comfort (lazy? lol...) over the coolness factor for this kind of fun jump. Oh no~ I'm sorry...but hey, you hung on! (Right on girl!) The reason why you were upside down is because of the exit. You have to be sure to work with Andy and help him to present on exit. I kept mine warm by putting them inside Andy's sleeves and rubbing them against his arms (I was sitting & comfy, remember? ) as we drifted into the sunset. Of course, he didn't mind...lol! My hands went totally numb right away...which is not good for pulling...lol. I had to finally put them to my mouth and blow on them repeatedly to get them to warm up before pull time. I have too many problems with numb hands...I never wear gloves, though. (When I did try to wear gloves on my last jump, one got stuck/made me loose my toggle, and I broke my ankle on landing...doh!) Awww...you're sooo sweet and cute, 'Chelle. I was just teasing you, girlie. -
The strange part is that you fail to see that people may also be thinking "outside the box", even though they do NOT agree with you or your specific viewpoints. Women being happy to have other women to jump with is not a bash on men, imo. I think that perhaps you are reading too much into innocent statements. Did you perhaps also want a debate about men vs. women in skydiving... The truth is that since I am new and still ambitious in my learning, when accepting myself onto a load, I tend to jump with whatever group of jumpers is more serious, whom I feel that I could learn more from the most. There have been times when this was mostly men and sometimes I was giving up jumping with mostly women to jump with the men. Sometimes, it's been the opposite. Jumping for me has been very sex non-dependent. Yes, I love jumping with both sexes and, frankly, I would prefer to jump with the better jumpers regardless of their sex. That is honestly how I decide whom to jump with. The persons whom can fly the best are always the absolute most fun for me to jump with because the jumps are just better quality and push me to higher levels. I would like to think that this is why men want to jump with me, too. Is it always the reason why so many men want to jump with me? Perhaps not, I have no idea. I have been recently told by a gentleman, however, that although I am "pretty" that the coolest part about jumping with me is that I do what I am asked of me, do it 110% to my best ability and am consistently right on. I love that people can see that I want to learn and improve...and that perhaps my sex is irrelevant. I think that the women were reacting with confusion and shock to the fact that it seemed that you were "poking fun" at the other thread. I was a little surprised to see you "quoting" my original post, which was not written in my usual style, with "white people" substituting "women". It seemed to show a lack of respect for that thread, and its intended female bonding sentiments. Also...to clarify one of my prior posts, I had NO childhood illness that I overcame. I first became ill at the age of 19 and will remain affected (ill, but not terminal) with my 2 auto-immune illnesses (one is specifically female-related) always. I was explaining my personal story to you...sorry if it was hard-to-follow or diverted from YOUR desired discussion. I was trying to show that my desire to skydive is TOTALLY "outside of the box" in my life/environment. However, thinking outside of the norm or outside of accepted viewpoints is relatively speaking "different" for everyone, imo. Everyone's "box" or "norm" is different, you see, based on their environment. In other words, the box is not the same for people in different countires and/or even in different states. Forgive me, but I still think that you have a problem with women not from just this thread, but from having read many of your prior posts. Perhaps it is my misunderstanding not with what you are trying to say, which I agree with to a certain degree as I am completely AGAINST affirmative action (despite being 100% latin), but more with how you go about trying to say it. Food for thought. Btw, I have nothing against you, Mike, personally. You really know how to get a girl's attention...lmao!

It's so funny/ironic that another woman would misinterpret the "emotions" behind my posts. I am lmao right now... Truly, I am not upset, nor "mad" (it takes a lot more than that to make me mad, honey) by what Crwmike wrote...just maybe a little saddened for him. The truth in all this is that I am genuinely puzzled by his posts.

Girl you need to come down to SE Florida, there are LOTS of latin skydivers here, many of them women. Oh boy... I was born in Peru into a very strict household...this is my personal situation that I am talking about. We latin women are not all alike, you know...

I do, as well, expect strightforwardness from everyone, men and women on these forusm, which is why I do not understand you belittling my post in the Women' Forum by making fun of it in this thread. Why not PM me personally instead, if you felt the need to make fun of something that I (or anyone else) wrote. I just don't understand. Would you have done the same thing to a man? I have never had many female friends...EVER. I have always wanted more female friends. My one and only closest female friend, who was like a sister (I have no sisters) to me, died almost 6 years ago in a car accident on her way to work one morning. In skydiving, I have finally found a place where women seem to encourage and support each other, not degrade and hurt each other as has been the case with other women. I really, really value that. My closest friends are male...and they always have been. I LOVE my male friends and would do anything for them. Also, I always jump with mostly men. That is why it is so special to me when I jump with women. Also, I was raised the conservative "latin" way as a sweet, "girl" who would never even think to jump out of planes...because "proper ladies" would NEVER do that, right? I was given a very, very sheltered life. My mother was frightened to even let me ride a bicycle down the street. Anyway, despite being extremely girly and playing with Barbies galore, as I grew older I began to break those barriers down and explore. Yes, you are going to hate this also because it may be "racist", but I am also so proud that even though I am a latin woman, I am able to be a skydiver. It is something that is sooo looked down upon...you have no idea. It makes me feel so good to know that despite my early conditioning and despite my long-term health illnesses that I've had for 14 years, I still live my life to the fullest. When I see other women out there, like Eliana (also latina) form Airspeed or Julianna (latina freeflyer/tunnel rat), who excel in this sport...I know some of what they may have gone through to get there. We have talked about some of it. Even the fact that my father worked his bum off to get to this country, so that I could have more opportunities...like choosing to become a skydiver...makes me feel so lucky and proud of my parents. (Trust me...it would NEVER have happened if I had stayed in Peru.) You may think that just being an ordinary female skydiver, like me, is no big achievement, but I will ALWAYS be proud of myself and proud of all the women in this sport for ANY achievement that they make.

Do you still want me to attend the baby shower, or am I too repulsive?
-
Ooooo...I look sooo good in hats! I was told that I may have a limp for a little while after my cast comes off...does that count? Is that sexy, my BIOTCHES?

Did a successful Mr. Bill this weekend
VanillaSkyGirl replied to Conundrum's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
This was with Andy, right? (The guy that I told you to do the Mr. Bill with?) I also did my AWESOME Mr. Bill with him on my 100th! I have it on video, too...YAY! -
I was just invited to attend the lamest concert ever!
VanillaSkyGirl replied to PhillyKev's topic in Speakers Corner
Lol...well, I have no idea who these guys are, but at least you are considering the positives in this situation...latina women in the audience... Btw, here's an idea...why not tell your friend the truth? -
OMG!!! I didn't understand that at first...
-
I have edited this so as not to be provocative, but I also would rather that someone be more upfront with how he/she begins discussions. This is a little hurtful towards the posters in the thread in the Women's Forum, imo.

My dearest Alpha Pimp, Whatever my pursuits, they are always of the highest aspirations. I have decided to become a Pimp of the Highest Caliber. My walk and diction shall not be affected in my pursuits, I hope. I would be so grateful if I could be a "pimp" of the manliest men...only the most deserving and of the highest quality, of course. I could hand-pick my team of elite men myself if it is so desired... Are there any volunteers, or can you point me in the right direction, oh Alpha Pimp? Sincerely, Madame Vanilla all over you Skygirl... P.S. Thank you for the prompt reply!

I'm currently a "gimp"... I don't think that you could make me into a "pimp". Perhaps you could make me into a "Madame" maybe...maaaaybe, but a pimp...I'm not so sure. I'd think that you'd be pretty talented if you could, though. I'd probably need round-the-clock tutoring and stuff... Well...what do you think?
-
Lol...oh feathers, I get it. Btw, Vinnie, I was driving a champagne-colored car then, now I drive a silver car. I have never owned a white car. Edit: Vinnie ~ For what it's worth, I think that you are a real sweetheart. You've always been a sweet friend in times of need...

Aubrey, come to Elsinore today (Saturday). I'll be there at around 4 or 5pm and need friends to hang out with. It's my birthday...YAY! Sadly, I have a broken ankle...Boo!
-
Lmao...why are people associating me with "feathers and the color white"? I don't understand...
-
I'd MUCH rather have mindblowing sex with someone I don't really like all that much. I'm sure that I can find positives in that person. While it can be developed to a certain degree, mindblowing sexual chemistry with another person is not something that you can teach. Like someone else said, I don't have the time for average sex (Is that wrong?)...unless I was totally in love. I have yet to have that problem. Btw, I only have sex with someone if I really, really, really like or love him.
-
Oh Darcy, my sweet friend, congratulations! I hope that everything works out the way that you would like in all your future endeavors.
-
Hey I can handle that.. I am good at administering corporal punishment...

Dammit! Who took little Gia's blender!?! Maybe someone can help me go to Walmart up the street from the DZ (It's hard to carry a blender on crutches) or bring a blender...whatever's clever... Also, I just realized that NOBODY has offered to give me a birthday spanking. Wth? I hope that this isn't a thread killer...
-
Not at all, my sweet sista! I love ya and really wish you could be here on Saturday. Jump out with her, and she should be in like Flynn...(ask Meli). Oh yeah...Jason's disposable camera...YAY!
-
Yes, he is...and he smells good, too!!! Too bad he's all married and everything... Whew, ditto that! J Lol... I was all ready to compliment his looks (very attractive man), then Mr. McGowen suddenly answered...ooops. Nice pictures, Airtwardo. Thanks for sharing!
