I understand why you may skip my posts sometimes as they are often novel-length.

Yes, I mentioned that I was interested in volunteering at WFFC in THIS post.

***Damn dude, that's not thinking inside the box ...that ain't thinking at all. Get back to me when society tells you it's important. Just because I recognize reality, doesn't mean I adhere to it. Thanks for the insult, though. edit And furthermore, if you want an example of someone pushing the collective mindset and encouraging adherence to societal standards, look for people who try to elliminate any method of classifying people and turning everyone into a completely equal, non-unique cog. Most people have their own ideas about life and society. There aren't 2 sides, The Man vs. Mike. If people have a different opinion than your's, it doesn't make them an ipso facto tool of society. Not trying to come down on you, but your posts seem to be very judgmental of anyone who shares an opinion with anyone else. PhillyKev, prepare to be shocked, but, regarding the topic discussed in this thread, I agree completely with what you have written. I agree with EVERY SINGLE WORD. Seriously, you have done an excellent job conveying your thoughts and beliefs. Cheers!

I'm not...darned ankle...BUT I know that my friend and new Pink Mafia sister, Maggie (CanopyCandy), will be there with her BF Jason (Yoshi's brother). You will love them! They freefly, but they are also into trying different fun jumps, like the dual linked rodeo that Amazon/myself and they pulled off at Perris. (See our Perris pics on Dagimp's sig line.) Have fun, Tami!!!

Geez...I'm sorry that you feel that I'm a tease, Wally. I don't mean to disappoint. My body is not that great, you know. It's all smoke and mirrors...really. BUT~ if I am bold enough, I will post a pic of me in my stilettos once I can walk in them, ok?
-
Lol! That's pretty cool, Sky Crip #2...I also like the way that YOU think! ~
-
Your imagination is probably much better than a silly picture of me in stilettos.

You and I could begin a grouded/handicapped section... Anyone else grounded who wants to go to WFFC and NOT jump with Cocheese and myself? Chuteless? Anyone?
-
I don't care much for the sound, but I LOVE the way my bum looks when I wear stilettos. I have some sexy 5" ones that I look at every day. I can hardly wait to wear them when doctor gives me the green light. This broken ankle thing sucks. Edited: typo

That's what I was expecting to hear. I have a wheelchair...

I HAD been hoping to go to WFFC for my first time this year to jump my little buns off. Then, I broke my left ankle and decided not to go at all because it may be torture to watch everyone having fun. However, I recently read that volunteers may be needed. That renewed/sparked new interest... I was wondering what you all think about me going, anyway, and volunteering. My cast MAY be taken off right before or even the same weekend that I would be going to WFFC, or I may still have it on until just afterwards. I would be flying out from Southern California and (hopefully) staying in a nearby hotel, but it would only be for a long weekend. I have a wheelchair, but I don't use it as much as I should (damned pride & crutches!) I was worried that I may have a hard time getting around as WFFC seems like a HUGE event. However, I am pretty good on crutches...I was able to go up the wind tunnel stairs at Perris completely by myself (I was alone) at night on crutches the same day that I broke my ankle. (Dumb, I know.) Anyway, these would be my goals for going to WFFC with a broken left ankle: * volunteer/help with the event in any way that I can (registration or shuttling people, perhaps?) * Scope out the event and see what it will be like for when I CAN jump next year * Look at gear and take advantage of any special discounts...I need to buy a custom rig of my own... * Perhaps do a tandem if my ankle is out of a cast (and ONLY if considered safe enough to do in these conditions) * Take observation rides on specialty aircraft (YAY!) * Listen to many seminars * Take beautiful pictures which I normally wouldn't be able to do if busy jumping * Observe big formation jumps, watch dirtdives, watch landings, etc. * Meet more skydivers & have fun! So, would it be better to go and volunteer OR take it easy and wait until next year to jump at WFFC? (I will not be offended if I am given the advice to stay at home.) Any/all advice would be appreciated.

I'm sorry. That's horrible. Well, it looks like you'll be in the sky before me... For what it's worth, I LOVE your attitude! YEAH BABY...raise some hell!

Might be more fun to watch teh live video feed from the Bombshelter due to the long climb up the stairs. . . Have you forgotten my dear that I was able to go up the wind tunnel stairs at Perris completely by myself (I was alone) at night on crutches the same day that I broke my ankle. I know, I know...pretty DUMB! I could have hurt myself even more...

Why so quick? Maybe wake up earlier...or be woken up!
-
Yay, a fellow gimp like me!

Yes, it happens all the time. People are totally SHOCKED that I love to jump. Oddly enough, women can be the most offensive with their stereotypes and preconceived notions. Men and women both often comment on my small size and my very girly-girl appearance. However, it's nice when the ladies are intrigued and seem to sometimes become inspired to try something new. The men look at me with respect and curiousity, and they even seem turned on by the whole thing. Lately, though, I've begun to notice the tiniest bit of intimidation in their eyes... Edit: I agree that it's best to be low-key about the whole thing, but people keep asking me about my ankle. It's quite embarrassing to wear a cast...I feel like a fool!

Ummm...NO.

I'm amazed so many said yes. The only reason I haven't whored my self out is because I didn't think there was a market. I might be looking at a career change soon. Do you guys REALLY want to see what a female that must pay for sex actually looks like? (shuddering)
