I certainly do. There are few countries in the world where I as a woman can own my own home, drive a 2003 truck, own a couple large boats, take vacations where ever I see fit in the world, afford to take up a very expensive sport and buy a lot of new equipment to support that habit. Sure those are materialistic things but I also served in the armed forces of this country for 8 years. I have traveled to about 40 countries in my life and have seen how many of those countries allow women the advantages I have been blessed within this one. I worked VERY HARD for a good education that allowed me to get a very good job, how many women in Africa or the middle east or Asia or even in Europe can attain that and have anything more than being a slave to their circumstances. No its not about the materialistic things in life for me, but I would venture I am far happier than MOST women on this planet in the opportunities I was given as part of that. IT seems to me that a goodly number of people on this planet seek those same advantages. Then again there are those who would drag the entire world kicking and screaming back into the squalor and darkness of the 7th century. 0:1:2 Slow weekend. Lots of rain here in Florida. Saturday, did a hop and pop at 2500. Watched my Samurai 136 open on the hill. Interesting view watching it from that angle. Hopefully the weather will be better for this weekend. Airborne Blue Skies, No Wind Feet and Knees Together

I love my Samurai. I started with a 150 (at 460 jumps) and moved down to a 136 (880 jumps). The only "REALLY" bad thing about them is on windy days, the dang thing stays inflated. With little over 900 jumps, I don't really get nervous unless it is something new (Freefly, very large group, or a military{night, combat, mass attack, round}. But once I get out and "DOWN" safely, the adrenalin kicks in and all is good. When I get that little "FEELING", I go over the whole jump in my head and think of the "What if". Emergency procedures, deployment, count, and just about anything else that can go wrong. This way, if it does, I have a little "Clue" as to what to do. They sure beat going out at 1000 with no moon, full ruck, weapon, mass attack (both doors) and a Yahoo doing CRW for 400 feet... I promiss to be carefull. You said it, "When Saddam kills protesters, he is a tyrant oppressing peaceful protesters, no matter how many of them have AK-47's". Now ask yourself if the "Protesters that Saddam killed had weapons? Of course the "Plant" beneath the rose bush was placed by U.S. President Bush. Take a real look at what is going on and then ask the same questions. Do you see the children killing people or just the "Left/Right/Moderate" killing? I'm sure we are keeping 13 year old in prison.
