  3. WMW999, I was not looking for agreeing, I just wanted to know if Bill had ever lived overseas and see what it was really like. As you can tell, Bill has and it is nice to see another side of the coin. He is right!! Very well put. The very nice part about America, we are allowed an opinion and can voice it. That is FREEDOM. As the people in Iraq right now about those freedoms. Yes, even the right to riot and loot is a freedom. And to add the last part, yes, Militia is a freedom. Until they use it against a body or there is intelligence that indicates they are going to use it. Tough having those freedoms, isn't it? Airborne Blue Skies, No Wind Feet and Knees Together
  4. Kallend, I hate to say it but you are right. The problem with those atrocities, there is now way to make the individuals pay (war crimes) now. As for North Korea, I don't think we will have to invade. Take a real look at what is going on over there. I think it is purely a blackmail (we need money) ploy. The country wants to unite back with the South (pure opinion) and is looking for a way to not "Loose Face" in doing it. Diplomacy is the key. We tried with Hussein for 12 years. It did not work. We did try with Bin Laden, and we felt the response to it. So, no, invading North Korea is not a option. But, tell me how you would feel if you lived next to a person who had a nuke and was willing to use it? Or, be one of the passengers on the plane knowing that it was going to be used as a bomb to blow up a building? What would you do? Me? Make friends with the guy/gal who had the nuke. If they are going to use it, stop them any way possible. A Passenger, (a whole lot tougher) but I would not want to be part of killing more people on the ground. These are tough choices and as a leader, you must decide on which ones to act on and live with the decision. The way around it? Good intel, good neighbors, and a strong military. 5. As for Montana, well, not really. It is remote but you would have to have help with the day to day buying of stuff (food, equipment, weapons, bullets). It is wide open and not a whole lot of people but not a good option. California would be better. Wider varity of people. But again, weapons and supplies run into a problem. 6. So what you are telling me Bill that you have not been over seas?... I was there before 91 and after 91. The feeling is the same. We are marked because we where Americans. Pure and simple. If you dought me, go over and find out for yourself. Airborne Blue Skies, No Wind Feet and Knees Together
  7. The problem with that is the Military may not like me importing cats to a area while being deployed. Besides the Customs people would have a fit. I do know that I want a shorter hair cat, not a angora (?). I will also have to get two so they will have company while I work. I'll have to check with a vet or a pound and see if any have been born or are ready for adoption. Airborne Blue Skies, No Wind Feet and Knees Together
  8. Thanks Casie... Love the cat. I'm looking for a kitten or two. I'm waiting to retire so I won't have to leave them for an extended period of time. Airborne Blue Skies, No Wind Feet and Knees Together
  9. Nice try. Next time, if you are going to "QUOTE ME" us the whole darn thing. In Iraq, the "MASS GRAVES" and the building full of bodies. Oh, let me guess, it is OK to kill your own people so long as it doesn't involve WMD? But, thanks anyway. As for the "BAIT AND SWITCH", how about the training camps and other links. Hmmmm, no could not be. It is all a lie put on by the President of the United States and all the news (FOX and CNN included) agencies. Open the mind and look outside the little world you live in. Go to one of these countries and see what it is really like. Have I, Yes. I have seen what it is like to live in a different country, see the differences and what it is like to be a target just because I was an American. You do this and then come back and then we can really have a talk. Oh, by the way, depending on the country, you can't drive if you are a woman. Much less travel by yourself. And when in Saudi, remember the vail. So, with that in mind, have a great trip. Airborne Blue Skies, No Wind Feet and Knees Together
  10. You know I would "HAVE YOU" just like you TOOK ME... Airborne Blue Skies, No Wind Feet and Knees Together
  11. Thank you all. Bobby, the canopy is not on lease.. It flies great and I'm enjoying it more and more. Mary, I plan on having 950 by the convention rolls around. Think of something good for my 1000th because you will be on it (right?) Airborne P.S. Just did my 901th: Combat, Night, T-10 Round, 1000 feet, Mass attack. Great fun. Airborne Blue Skies, No Wind Feet and Knees Together
  12. What the heck do you mean HE gave us two wars? I thought killing 2000 plus people was an "ACT OF WAR". Remember Iraq, with all the "MASS GRAVES"? What do you people do at night? Stick your head in the sand and only listen to one side of the story? Clinton should have been IMPEACHED! Nice try but it didn't pass. President Bush, AWOL/Desertion, lets see the whole thing. It makes me worry what people think and how they act. Peace is not wimpiness. Any Military person will tell you that they prefer Peace. It is just that sometimes, we have to stand up to/for ideas. If Japan had attacked today, you people would not consider it a act of war and we should not retaliate. Think about that one for a while. Airborne Blue Skies, No Wind Feet and Knees Together
  13. Very well said by Mr. Roosevelt, but you still can thank the people who are procecting the nation, even the police and firemen (fireperson?). Just say thank you. Airborne Airborne Blue Skies, No Wind Feet and Knees Together
  14. Well, I am almost to the magic mile marker of 1000 skydives. This weekend I did my 900th jump along with OldDirty who was doing his 100th jump. Had a great jump and I want to thank the other nine people in the sky with us along with the video guy who shot a GREAT VIDEO. I'm getting the pictures done and will have them on Wednesday. 15. Sorry to hear about your dad Michael. Hang tough and get a hug. You need anything, please don't be afraid to ask. VIBES and HUGS your way. Airborne Blue Skies, No Wind Feet and Knees Together
  16. So, now that we understand a little about Politics, Mr. Hixxx, did you vote? Where you in Florida when the "Voting Process was done?". Where you here to listen to the radio and TV stating that MR. Gore, who invented the Internet, Won Florida by 4:00PM (1600 to our military)? Did you listen to the newscasters "EAT CROW" because they announced the wrong info? Mr. ThighMan, did you vote? Yes. Was I in Florida during the "Voting Process"? Yes. I had just got out of the voting office when I listened to the newscasters say, "MR. Gore has won Florida". Yes, I did listen to them "EAT CROW" after announcing the WRONG WINNER. Now, as for the Recounts, how many do you want? MR. GORE lost everyone. Not once did he even come close. 9/11: Give me a break. There where little to NO HUMINT on the ground at the time and what did come out (95) was ignored. Was President Bush in office?... Lets see, NO. But it was his job to pull the country back together and make us strong and willing do defend us (YOU fall into that group MR. Hixxx so you are welcome) even if it cost lives. So, how about saying thank you and SHUT THE SWOOP. Look at the American Flag and pause to think of the people (Men, Women, Straight, Gay) who have died to protect it. To the people who have served, people who are serving (myself included), I say thank you. If you ever see me at a drop zone, stop by and say Hello and I'll get the first beer. Airborne P.S. No driving DRUNK..... Airborne Blue Skies, No Wind Feet and Knees Together
  17. But hey, maybe you are right. How about explaining to your kids that "Oral Sex" is not sex. Explain how when you took office, your accountant "Committed Suicide". How about that little "White Water" thing. And lets not forget who bought the Clinton Presidency, China.... TOO DAMN EASY TO CRITICIZE. edited for personal attack. Airborne Blue Skies, No Wind Feet and Knees Together
  18. You mean it is not July Yet?... I read May... Ouch. Got to be more careful. Sorry about that one. Airborne Blue Skies, No Wind Feet and Knees Together
  19. I normally do a Hop and Pop to "SET THE LINES" on a new canopy. I don't think it is required, much less for 10 to 15 jumps. Airborne Blue Skies, No Wind Feet and Knees Together
  20. I sure hope you mean the 31st. If not you are a little late. I know Z-hills will be jumping. I'll be doing my 900th jump. Come on out and play. See you there. Airborne Airborne Blue Skies, No Wind Feet and Knees Together
  21. Yes, that was a rub... Did you not like it?... I know, slow down, pay attention and get to your spot. Airborne Blue Skies, No Wind Feet and Knees Together
  22. Would you believe a very hard right hand yank on the toggle and then a very hard left hand yank on a toggle. I was told that I was 180 degrees (half a line twist) under my canopy. When I got done with my second Yank, I flared, lifted my feet up, slid in on my right thigh and elbow and nicked a piece of concrete. Hence the 4 stitches on my right shin. Very lucky. Airborne Blue Skies, No Wind Feet and Knees Together
  23. OK Mary, since I have to OBEY my MENTOR. The story goes as follows: I wear contacts and a full face Z1. I worry about loosing my contacts while jumping. Yes, my eye sight is that bad. I wear sunglasses as a back up so the wind that enters the helmet will not dry my eyes out and I loose a contact. It is also nice to have the glasses on once I'm under canopy and pop the shield up to fly. So, here we are, doing the 120 way at Z-hills this past April. Mary in in the the second trail plane and I'm in the third trail plane. Since I weigh more, I was moved up to take her position in the formation. It was either that or Mary put on more weights. So, I exit and REALLY don't want to mess up, and am concentrating so hard to get to my spot, I "RUB" somebody as I fly by. No big deal. It was sort of like when you exit and you are brushing people to get out of the plane. Of course, the person I "RUB" is Mary. (Sorry yet again) With my sunglasses on, she could not tell if I was looking at her (I was not) or what. We make it down to the formation and all is well. Then when we get down to the ground and start packing, Mary asks me if I "RUBBED" anyone in the air. I think back and go "YES, let me guess, it was you?" (VERY BAD OF ME). So, Mary proceeds to take this very inexperienced skydiver under her wing yet again and explains that: TAKE YOUR GLASSES OFF DUMBBUTT, and you had better keep a better EYE out while tracking to the formation. So, with that all in mind and the fact that I "RUBBED" my MENTOR in the sky, I stopped wearing my sunglasses inside my helmet on the 120 ways. Side note: I was asked to try out for a 4-way team and didn't wear the sunglasses for that either. Side note two: No excuse, but, I didn't leave a bruise on Mary. Lesson learned: 1. Never RUB your MENTOR in the air unless she wants you too. 2. Keep your head on a swivel while coming down to the formation. 3. Be smart when/if wearing sunglasses. 24. Just a picture of me on my 600th jump (almost a year ago). I tried to kill myself on the landing. I was flying a Samaui 150 and did a double toggle turn between 50 and 100 feet. Got up and walked away with only 4 stitches. I used up a whole lot of Karma that day. Airborne Blue Skies, No Wind Feet and Knees Together
  25. Welcome and thanks. Now you just need to teach me to keep my "SWOOPING Elbows in"...
