I've done that once or twice via SL on one of the Student Rigs, It's a hell of a lot of fun - but you need to sit back and think about the added risks an activity like that poses. I wish i would have thought about that more before i did it. =========Shaun ==========

Personally, I wouldn't let it get to you too much. Skydiving is your recreation - not your job. If you get involved in all these conflicts, you run the risk of taking an enjoyable activity and turning it into a burden. Let it slide..... Blue Skies, =========Shaun ==========

What kind of bird do you have lined up? I've only made 2 jumps from a Bell207 down in Wichita, and i would say they were some of the best jumps i've made.. Just be sure not to JUMP off the skid, just fall, trust me. =========Shaun ==========

Once in a rage of late night driving I ended up slaughtering a kitten. Didn't bug me very much until i saw how upset the little girl who it belonged to was. Hmmmm, How is the hot weather effecting the little kittens around here? Not very well, so far, my best kitten was only able to survive 23 straight hours in 100+ tempetures before he fell. HA! Even if we shot 100 times over our quota we wouldn't see a raise. Cheap asshole. I've worked there for 3 years (I even came in and worked Xmas eve AND morning) at Minimum wage. No Holiday hours. And BTW, on Vday (Feb 14) the whole staff pulled 34 hours straight, w/o sleep or break. (I shit you not) =========Shaun ==========

It's been a pretty interesting day. ONce again, the boss at work is absent. I haven't done much work at all, hence myself being on DZ.Com now. here is the strange part. 4 guys holding down the floor here at the Call Center - Everything is neat and orderly - all orders are processed and completed correctly - no pending problems or angry customers - life is good. It just seems like this is how it always is when the boss is gone. We are on top. I think i have a retarded Manager who just gets in the way with her micromanagment and bitching. My .02: I see that on your profile your still a Student Jumper. There is no problem with buying equipment this early. Several People at my DZ bought their gear on student status (myself included) and just chilled until they were cleared to jump it. Personally, I would advise not droping very much $ on your first Rig. As i see it, it takes a person 2 or 3 years in the Sport or 300ish jumps to figure out what they are going to do. Not everybody is going to be a freeflyer, not everybody is going to be a coach/instructor. You may go out and drop $3000 on a first rig and find out later that i may not be what you want. Also, i speak from experience, as you learn canopy flight, and learn to carve turns to fly your wing in, many of your landing will be less than gracefull. It would be a shame to put a new container through that. Buy some used gear, spend some time in the sport, find out what you want to be doing, and go from there, no hurry, you have your whole life to skydive. Finally, talk to some riggers in your area - they are the ones who can really guide you in the best direction. Blue Skies, =========Shaun ==========
