I like the Idea of Bum Sex with Bin Laden - But Methinks that the both of them would enjoy that a little too much..... What to do with Saddam??? Hmmm, I think we should hand him over to the Kurds for a, um, fair trial. Nah, Lets just throw him in the Ocean. That would be fun. Just throw him in the middle of the pacific. =========Shaun ==========

Good Job troops!!!!!!!! I'm going to go get the entire scoup now on CNN - This should be good. =========Shaun ==========

Hmmm, You had "Master All Freeflying" But you forgot to put anything about RW. My goal is to be able turn points on the National Level. Once I get there, then I'll worry about flying on my ass or head. =========Shaun ==========

Quote I've put a handful of static line students out of an otterQuote Hmm, i've just never seen that done. I guess most of the DZ's that have those nice aircraft have them because of the revenue from Tandems & aff.. =========Shaun ==========

This kinda makes me wonder how they throw students out of an Otter or Tailgate. I've done coach jumps with student from a King Air, no problem, but I never figured out where you hook the Static Line if that is your training method... =========Shaun ==========

The Nearest Turbine to where I am is about 5 hours. Either the Otter in Sullivan or the King Air at Vernon. That Pilgramage makes for a long weekend..... =========Shaun ==========

I second that motion. Screw the Cold, lets go play in the sky. Did it all day yesterday in below freezing air on the ground - As Calvin's dad would say "It builds Character" Blue Cold Ones, =========Shaun ==========

Poor baby........ BTW - MyOwnWay told me that you would be helping her with some freefly stuff this Holiday Boogie - I'd Like to warn you about this one - we had a long discussion Yesterday about stinking up the plane and how she does it way too much...... Actuallly, MyOwnWay is really usefull to have on any load, if you ever rip one and need a scapegoat, THERE SHE IS!!!! =========Shaun ==========

Maybe I am Naive - Maybe I'm the deprived one here - But I am just discovering that there is a good number of people with hundreds of jumps that have NEVER jumped a 182?? What Gives?? Do these people consider the 182 a "Novelty" Aircraft?? Are there any of those "deprived" or "Spoiled Rotten" jumpers out there who could help me understand this? =========Shaun ==========

Dude ---- Two Words: CA-SUH!!!! Nice & roomy, Giant Tailgate, and I don't have to look like an ass trying to open the damn door. BTW, you forgot to put 182 on the poll....... Edited to add: I might Vote Skyvan, but there was a nasty little incident on my first skyvan jump over in Rantoul where I discovered that sitting in the very back meant that you had to help with the door. Well, this WAS my first box jump.... Kinda made an ass out of myself wrestling with the door. I think it made it to the big screen that night at the party tent. =========Shaun ==========

How many different type aircraft have you jumped from?
Unstable replied to NightJumper's topic in The Bonfire
Not Very Many at all. Lets see.... 182 Wide & Narrow body King Air 90 & 100 The Arizona Otters Skybox CSS'S Casa's Bell 406 Sikorsky (Big Ugly one at WFFC) < = From 10K! Little Crappy Powered Parachute Ultralight 206 At Winterset I don't get around much...... =========Shaun ========== -
BAH - Come on people!!!!!! If you want to drink, get laid, and get in fights, hit the freaking bars!! A boogie, by definition, is for jumping your ass off!!! If you do this right in the first place, you should collapse from exhaustion at dusk anyways! If you're drinking and fighting after a day of jumping, you haven't jumped enough. This is my .02, but then again I'm probably one of the only 10 skydivers in the world that doesn't drink. =========Shaun ==========

This is just my .02 as it applies to my certain situation. I try very hard to keep the two worlds seperated. I am in a serious relationship with an absolutly amazing girl - I try very hard to make sure that no matter what happens, I always have something to fall back on. Jumping is my thing that I do for just a few hours on the weekends - I dont' think more than 2 people at the DZ know I even have a girlfriend, and I've never given my girlfriend directions to the dz. Blues, =========Shaun ==========

This is a very good Idea - seeing something like this - even on Bambi - Makes you stop and think about the hazards of working and moving around these machines. I know that I will have this image in my mind next time I load up the aircraft - =========Shaun ==========

It really is a wise decision for a DZ to offer a lift ticket for experienced jumpers for when they refer a tandem. From the DZO's I've talked to, they say that this referal system is the backbone of their anvertising. Currently, I have been awarded around 5 jumps by refering tandems, and when the DZ opens back up in Jan, I will have a number of other referals that are waiting. This is a must for a poor college kid like myself - creates a win-win situation for both myself and the Dropzone. =========Shaun ==========

Poor Poor King Air - At least it wasn't a jump Plane I know...... =========Shaun ==========

Good Show - But something like that I don't think will last very long. But then again, that's what they said about South Park. . .. =========Shaun ==========

I'm from the same dz as bch7773, so this is probably a repeat of info. Yeah, we do observer rides - No problem. We charge the standard lift ticket of $15 - have an instructor or coach teach them the EP's and they do fill our a waiver. I've paid for a couple of observer rides for my sister & a College Newspaper reporter, and I plan on taking my girlfriend up for a ride soon. It really is no big deal, but we try to not bump jumpers for a rider. =========Shaun ==========

Chris, I am honestly impressed with your humility. I personally was not aware of the happenings you speak of, and I myself probably owe enough apologies to everyone out there for my own faults (Lets see, I know I owe at least a couple to you, Eric, Paul, Jesse & Jesse M, et cetera). You told me personally that you are broadening your Horizions and really seeing how much more there is to life - I don't know what's going to happen but I REALLY hope you won't beceome a stranger to the DZ. You've done too much for our DZ to become a stranger. Blue Ones, =========Shaun ==========

When I'm not jumping I'm usually THinking about jumping, or a multitude of Skydiving topics. Sometimes I play in the Universities Orchestra and Jazz Ensembles - But I'm usually thinking about Skydiving then too. =========Shaun ==========

0:0:0 I don't know what the Fuck is up anymore. We were closed even with the clouds above 10k in the afternoon and around 7k all morning. I went to the DZ anyways and cleaned shit up. =========Shaun ==========

I Am Proud To drive a Manly Station Wagon. It's a pick-up trick, really - Girls are like "OHHH, Station Wagon, Must be a family Kind of guy - lets go hit on him." Well, there apparantly is a flaw somewhere in my pick-up technique. I play the Double bass, A station wagon is a must. =========Shaun ==========

Instructors: Do you feel like you're paid enough?
Unstable replied to AggieDave's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
When I coach Students at our DZ - My lift ticket is taken care of. I get a free Jump for working with a student - I get to do Two things that I love! What Else could I want? If I needed $ for my own jumps, I can earn enough Packing for Students. I'm a happy camper. =========Shaun ========== -
I will fly into a fit of rage when Mayo IS put on my burger. Hate that Stuff. Gross. =========Shaun ==========
