  1. Or just get a whole new set of risers and toggles?
  2. I received this rig with the toggles set as they are on the right riser. This whole setup just seems unneccesarily complicated. My other rig has the standard control line eyelet, loop and ring. Changing over to that setup is going to require me to get a new loop on there that is big enough to slip the toggle top into. The loops are only big enough to accept a pin. I dont see how just dropping a new set of toggles onto this rig is going to work without modifying the loop anchor point.
  3. I've come accross a system of settings that I am not used to. I took several photos of the system and would like to know a few things. I've made up my own terms for what I see. I hope you can follow. For Slider Down use: 1. What is the sequence to setting these properly? Cutaway Looking loop goes through Riser Ring, then through Brake setting in the control line, then pin goes through Cutaway Looking Loop, then Pin goes into Riser Keeper? 2. Which routing is correct for the control line to go?Between the toggle stow and the pin or off to the side? Please see the attached photos. I've undone the previous configuration on one of the risers to show all the parts. I've set the two risers side by side to explain the control line routing question. For Slider Up use? Thanks Mike
  4. I understand what the last guy was talking about now. We went last night to her audition and I think it went ok. She ended up playing a Joan Jette song "Hate myself for loving you" instead of me playing anything. The crowd of guys were really into her routine and two even clapped at the end even though she slipped once. Most of them were really supportive when we went around and talked with them. Some were rude, but she did a good job and we hope the guy will call us to offer her a job. He said we can come on other Wednesday nights when there are other new dancers. We are hoping to get a friday night slot because that is where the dancers make a lot of money. Thank you for the information on the song.
  5. I'd still appreciate it if anyone could show me where I could find it. I'd go out and buy it but my jeep's whole exhaust system fell off and the mechanic said it's going to be expensive because the jeep was originally used by mailmen and it's pretty worn out. The bus stops 2 blocks away from the bar and it's always late. It's kinda embarrasing carrying musical instruments on a public bus because homeless people always want to make a scene when I don't let them try to play it. If anyone can help, please let me know. Thank you Mike
  6. Come on people.... I need this song so I don't have to play the harmonica for her...
  7. My wife's trying out to be a stripper in a lower class neighborhood down by the steel mills. Personally I think she's a bit too large and sweaty to strip. She really wants the song "Pony" by Ginuwine to try out to. Does anybody have it? Thanks Mike
  8. Now that I think about it, I've played FarCry and that was one of my favorites. I played Call of Duty also and that was a good one. I've heard of FEAR and The Chronicles of Riddick. Is FEAR a first person like Farcry?
  9. What are some good games on the market now? I've been away from gaming for a while and saw the new Half life 2 out. That seems the first choice but what other great 1st person shooters are there out there? Thanks Mike!
  10. I wont even bid on something that doesn't have a shipping amount of any kind. If they don't want to take the time to give me a quote, then they lose my bid and obvious interest in their item.
  11. Oh hell, we've all been arrested for that. It's old news really.
  12. I'm always looking for new vending machines and finding them in areas far away from me like California. Living in Ohio it hurts to pay the huge shipping prices. Are there any jumpers with shipping hookups that can give me some direction to save some money? Truckers, I'm looking in your direction... Thanks Mike!
  13. I have to admit I was very surprised to see this. My initial thought was this goes against the base ethics I have for public relations and site management. I watched this a few more times and I'm now rather torn. I want to ask "What the HEll?" but a side of me wants to say "Fuck yeah." Maybe hiding in the shadows isn't the way to get the sport accepted and to socially evolve. I have a deep seated part of me that is dedicated to protecting my sites and I feel like that is the side that is the most negative about this. Maybe to broadcast a site was a sacrifice to an experiment. If the authorities know that jumping goes on at that tower, they might be less likely to nail you to the cross if you're caught. They might have a lot lighter attitude and a "you guys are nuts" attitude. Or the flip side is it might bring major heat and higher fences on that site. The segment itself was not without the "death thirst" thing, with Skypunk being mentioned and a few other quotes. That is what the media does. Typical people have an absolute craving to see death in all forms. I'm of the opinion that if you're ever going to show base jumping on the news, you will have some black death carnage shit in there and that can't be avoided because it's what the public wants. Any reporter can google up 'base jumping death' and get that link and footage of Skypunk. I remain open minded about this because I've had harsh opinions about things in the past and later I found I was wrong. Maybe we should watch how this plays out instead of shaking our heads and taking sides.
  14. I can't find the album title anywhere. Maybe it's a single or really new?
  15. Does anyone have the Blue October song "Hate me" that they could gmail me? I heard it today and was impressed. Twoply2 at gmail.com Thanks! Mike
  16. She's a hottie. I'd bang her on top of my wife.
  17. I went to ask my accountant and he wanted about $600 to do it. I was about to do this myself in LLC's for dummies, but is there anyone here that can help? Post or Pm's Thank you!
  18. This place has helped me out in the past. http://community.lawyers.com/messageboards/board.asp?channelId=17&mbId=112 Someone can make it clicky.
  19. Watch out for that George guy. He has only 3 toes on each foot and a penchant for buggery!

    Smart Armour

Any armor is better than none when shit's going bad. But it seems to me that there's not any protection from the initial shock or impact. Maybe subsequent impacts from rolling down the mountain would be helped, but not the first hit. Is that accurate?
  21. Alright, so we all jump and are always on the lookout for new objcects most of the time... Last night I was working on a catwalk about 140 feet up there in this steel mill and I scared myself. As my partner and I were even just walking up the stairs, I kept having freaky thoughts like I was going to just huck myself off at some point involuntarily. Now I work the high stuff in the crew when there is high stuff to be done and I've felt this urge before but not so intense as last night. I had to walk the steel several times and the feeling to just run right off the beam into free air just continued to fill my head. I actually got spooked and had to make an effort to calm my mind and focus on the work. I've seen guys freeze on high scaffolds, roofs or crane baskets but I don't know if this is what they were experiencing. I don't know if wearing a rig would help with the feelings or if I'm slipping into some sick mindset here. The rig at work ain't gonna fly. I just got a jump in last week and I'm needed another soon but not like this. Anybody else have some feaky psycho thoughts like this or am I a heading for a life of heavy medications in the "day" room? Before you ask, there's no LZ.
  22. I'm interested in a radio controlled glider that I saw a few guys flying at the Dz. I've looked at a few online but there are so many and I dont know what I'm looking at. Does anyone have any suggestions on good makes or models? Thanks! Mike
  23. Which would you recommend for a 4 second delay bridge for a first timer? Our group has went round and round with this. I know I'm right but I'd like to hear what others on the board here think. One guy in our group, Fluffy, eats sticks of butter on hot dog buns. We don't listen to him.
