It's a good shoot even if the guy didn't have a bomb. The threat was there. If I threatened that I had a bomb on a plane, I'd fully expect to get shot and taken down. You should too.
-
You're unrealistic.

It turns out he's not a dumbass, but was infact bipolar. He was off his medication because it was checked in his bagage, which of course he couldn't get to. Irony. It's kind of like Iron. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/sns-ap-airplane-shooting,0,572760.story?coll=chi-newsbreaking-hed _Am Of course....it's the cops fault he wasn't on his medication or that he couldn't get to it. Unbelievable!

How would you know that if you were in his/her situation? Have you some sort of "tell if this dumbass is for real or not" device? Do you think it's prudent to give them the benefit of the doubt, especially on a plane. You know....where, if you're wrong, everybody's dead in a split second? I'm not blaming the cop at all. I'm sure he did what he had to do given the circumstances. I'm just saying I don't feel any safer because a guy who wasn't really a threat was stopped from doing....well...nothing. It shows we're more attuned to those situations now. It demonstrates that the countermeasures we have in place work. It's a check in the "win" category even if the threat was a fake. Call it a "live drill" if you want. It shows that if you want to play, you might just get shot. Ups the stakes of the game.

We didn't have air marshalls before 9-11? Blues, Dave You don't think we're more attuned to terrorism than we were before 9-11?

He threatened that he had a bomb on a plane. He wasn't just making a joke about his ethnicity. I would have shot him no matter where he came from if he said that. They can't afford to take chances anymore. Maybe others like him will think twice now about catching a case of the dumbass while at the airport or in an airplane. you genuinly believe somebody deserves to die for cracking a joke ? Of course not. But there are certain things you're not allowed to joke about. That being one of them. Your freedom of speech and expression isn't limitless (e.g. yelling fire in an auditorium when there isn't a fire). Lives are at stake.

Right.... But... But... [sarcasm] Wild man Howard Dean says we're no safer today than before 9-11. The response to a threat today can't count for anything. [/sarcasm]

I agree with you 100%! This shows a huge lack of respect for the court and that judge who obviously doesn't hold much authority. Everyone's been talking down to him like he's a little bitch and he's taking it. Unbelievable!

How is it that "YOU" know this? Seems to me that most (Senators/Reps (Democrat/Republican) & foreign leaders) were on-board with this thing in the beginning. They all believed the intel. It may have in fact been bad intel but that does not mean that anyone manipulated it. Are you an insider? Secret squirrel type? Or are you just parroting what Howard Dean is screaming during his lunatic fits.

Ya Think so? Are you dissapointed Kallend?

Remember... This was supposed to be our rebuilding year too. We lost a bunch of key players who are playing in the NFL now. The first game that we lost to GA Tech was our redshirt freshman's first time playing in a college game. We still didn't get our butts kicked and he played pretty well. Just threw too many interceptions. Our only other loss to LSU wasn't by much and in overtime. Our quarterback is shit hot now and we've got Irons as our replacement for Cadillac Williams. We can run against you. We can pass against you. Auburn is going to be the team to watch next year. We'll be playing in Atlanta again. Our freshman quarterback's SNAFU's are all worked out now. Watch out!

WAR EAGLE!!! That's all I have to say about that! I don't think USC or Texas would beat many of the teams we have in the SEC by 60 - 70 points. Championship games aren't won by that kind of spread. They're a battle won by only a few points. BCS SUCKS!!! The pretty boys out west can take their trophy and stick it. We've got the conference. They can come play the hard games with the big boys if they want to. We'll knock you the fuck out!

I did a clear & pull holding the pilot chute in my hand and crunched up tight with my leg pulled up in my stomach less than 2 weeks after having had an appendectomy back in 92. Definitely not a smart thing to do. Still had stitches. Stretched a tiny bit. I was young and dumb.

How many of you have forgiven Osama Bin Laden?

Oh...I get it. That's some more of that British humor........right?....... -
I have always wondered how many of them would still do that if they got absolutely no remuneration for it? No paycheck, no education assistance, just a bunk and some food. (and before people start yelling, I don't mean to imply soldiers are in it for the money, I know they don't get that much) I don't think it's unreasonable for them to expect to get paid. It's only fair (even with as little as they get). I don't think that reflects on any lack of true patriotism. I can tell you that money was NEVER the primary concern for me. It was all about the guys on my team and the job. I loved it and miss it a lot. I would have still jumped from planes, played with all sorts of weapons, and blown shit up for just a bunk and some food (at least for a while).

Holy shit. I nominate that for post of the fucking year!!! I second that nomination!!! That girl's motivated! Right on!!!

Man.... I can't go through that whole page. It will take me the next 30min. I still don't see (at a glance) where it attempts to refute Romans 1:24-32 anywhere. Don't you think he was talking about homosexuality in that passage. I think so.
-
Sorry.... A.D.D. kicked in. Didn't read your link at all. I will now. I hate it when that happens.
-
Well....alrighty then. Carry on.
-
Maybe so... But it's described ever so nicely in Romans 1:24-32 without even having to use the word homosexuality. Makes it pretty clear, doesn't it? I'm fairly sure that's what they meant in the other passages too. Don't you? I mean, Paul was from that age and spoke that language and everything.

I've got something you should make a sticky... Sweetcheeks? how'd you guess? Whoa boys. That's what we're arguing against. Keep it straight.
