Pictures of Virgin Mary on cross from Madugorje, Bosnia

GI Jane (Demi Moore) is complete "politically correct" fictitious bullshit. No offense... I can guarantee that she's not in Army Special Forces (Green Berets). I was on a team for 15 years. There are no girls. She might be in some PSYOP or Civil Affairs unit which also falls under the category of Special Operations Forces. Most of those guys (and girls) are loaded down with "Special Forces" stuff (patches, car tags, t-shirts, etc). They can be easily mistaken for the real deal. Many will tell you that they are. However, unless they've got that tab across their left shoulder, they aren't no matter how much they'd like for you to believe that they are. It's fun, though. Civilians don't usually know the difference. I'm sure she's cool, though. -
Man... You've got no idea. They didn't learn that from us. That's the norm for them in their culture. We're saints with regard to humane treatment of prisoners compared to most in that region. Comparing any wrongdoings by our troops with what they're accustomed to demonstrates a clear misunderstanding of the realities involved. You're not going to get the real deal by just watching CNN in your living room here in the States.

Negative. The main difference between Christianity and Islam (and every other religion for that matter) is Jesus Christ, who he claimed to be, and what he did to prove it. Everything else (love God, love your neighbor, turn the other cheek, etc.) stems from that. However, those actions (works) are not what primarily differentiates Christianity.

You're telling me that there's a woman Green Beret running around now? When did that happen? -

What are you talking about? What "special forces" did she go through? -

Also... Here's why the Jehovah's Witnesses are also a non-Christian cult. Is the Jehovah's Witness religion Christian? -

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying they're bad people. I'm attacking the belief system. Not the person. -
Mormon Republican Candidate for Prez 2008?

No.... They're Buddhists. Hindus are Hindus. Muslims are Muslims. Mormons, however, claim to be Christian (so do Jehovah's Witnesses) but do not follow the basic tenants of Christianity. They are a non-Christian cult. -

It's a very good source. I have others but that one is my favorite. I use it as much as I can. -

No… They’re considered a cult because of the following: In other words, it does not follow the basic tenants of Christianity. Is Mormonism Christian? -

Why? I mean, really, why? Have you read much on quantum theory? The sort of stuff that goes on at the subatomic level might blow your mind: it defies everything we consider logical by our measly ten-fingered minds. I'm totally comfortable saying we don't know whether there was a beginning (as we understand the term). And I'm glad there are some pretty smart people actively and objectively pursuing an answer to that very question. And you choose to believe that it just "all happened" and that was that. That's ok with me. I believe differently. It's still interesting to discuss. I just think that your approach has a lot of "faith" involved also. You may not want to admit that, though.

' There had to be a beginning somewhere/somehow. " Right, but why is the circle there in the first place (even if only in your mind). How did this concept of circle come into existence. What set the law in motion?

Is it fun in your world?

If you're referring only to religion, what people believe and why they believe it is a very interesting topic to me. I do, however, believe and am convinced that Christianity has all the answers that I will ever need. If you're referring to our search for scientific truths, I am very interested in that also. I just approach that from a different angle than some here. I believe advancement in science can only solidify a belief in God.

I think Stephen Hawking is better at it than most and he doesn't appear to accept what you stated above. Stephen Hawking: A Brief History of Time Seems to me you just quoted a passage that supports my statement. Maybe so. I see your point. However, does it really seem logical to you that the matter and energy which makes up this entire universe always existed. Where did it come from? There had to be a beginning somewhere/somehow. Even if our laws of physics breaks down and we can't comprehend it. What set it in motion? Do you really just buy into the idea that it was always just there and that it started itself? And if it wasn't always there and something did set it in motion, there had to be some sort of existence beforehand.
