Beer?!?!? .........Beer here!!!

Actually, I'd like to see her run. Every time she opens her mouth and goes into one of her tirades, she helps the other side.
-
Just saw this. Very sad. What a great actor.

Yes. She should run. Very fast. Very far from here. She should run away. She shouldn't go away mad. She should just go away. Added: With Bill.

I can't argue with scriptures. However, I believe that my praying for those Christians that are lost is good enough for me. I can't force someone to have the same views as I do. It's not my place to do so. That's God's work. He chooses who and when and how a person gets saved or directed into the right path. However, at the same token, he also puts people in our path that need our guidance and support. I guess, I really can't say much about this because you're more of an old school Christian than I am. I'm still in the toddler stage. However, I know that God speaks in my heart and leads me to the right path. Therefore, I know in my heart he doesn't want me judging others. Maybe, I'm just not qualified enough to judge right now. I just don't feel comfortable doing it either. Who knows? For now, I cannot judge others nor do I think it's right for me to do so. I believe that this is God's position, not mine. Don't misunderstand me. You mentioned one denomination "judging" another. I think that is entirely appropriate and Biblical. I wasn't saying to judge non-Christians with regard to their salvation. All you can do is present God's word with that. The rest is up to God. I was also not saying to "judge" someone else b/c you think you're better than they are. We're not. We've all sinned. However, as Christians, you should judge whether what I say is correct (Biblical) or not and I should judge you. We should be accountable to each other. Same goes for denominations. The Minister, Priest, etc. should be teaching God's Word and not his own. If you know what I mean. We have to be the judge of that. By the way, I'm not too "old school." I've only been a Christian since 1998. Before that, I was a humanist/atheist.

I disagree again. God judges in the temporal arena, and the eternal. In this life God will judge a person's actions, but always (except when the person has irrevocably rejected Him) holds out the chance for turning back and repenting. Only on the Last Day, at the great white throne judgment will God pronounce eternal judgment on a person, forever determining his or her destinies. From this judgment, there is no appeal or second chance. The Christian, on the other hand, is never given the right or the responsibility of eternally judging anyone (unless they have clearly rejected Christ permanently). Christians cannot correctly weigh action, motives, opportunities, nor know all things about any individual: God alone is capable to do so. However, Christians are to make decisions (appraisals, discernments, and even take corrective actions). But even judging in this aspect is intended to be remedial, and leaves the door open to the person for repentance and reconciliation. Any judging on the part of a Christian which does not, is a false aspect of Christian judgment. We are called upon to ''judge righteous judgment'' (John 7:24) and failure to do so is to be negligent in a crucial aspect of our Christian calling. Judging Christians are to judge other Christians. Not in the eternal sense but in the sense of discernment, accountability, etc.

Two came to my door this afternoon. They were Jehovah's Witnesses. I'm guessing that's who came to your door also. Those guys/girls are persistent. Much more so than most Christians. I actually think they have the right idea with getting their message out. Their message, however, is completely wrong. Just FYI, the JW's is not a Christian religion. They are a cult. Attached is a document from the same website as above which should be passed out instead of the stuff you probably got.

You have no idea how much it strained me to keep it civil. So..... Do I get the gold medal?

Did you really just call billvon an idiot? He stated the idea of some. He never said he believed it. I attacked the idea. Not him.

Someone who is so limited in their thinking such as one who would not consider someone human who might not be able to see, feel, or hear might also fit the person described in my sig line below. By the way, some of those senses develop a hell of a lot earlier than the 38th week.

Go to: http://www.carm.org if you're really that curious about Christianity. Great website!

God is also holy and just. Justice for breaking a law requires punishment/suffering (e.g. sacrifice). The price to pay for sin is eternal spiritual death (e.g. hell). You have sinned against God and cannot pay your own fine. Jesus (the only one who could) did it for you but you have to accept the sacrifice. Don't believe you've sinned against God? Take the TEST. Added: God could have just made a bunch of robots who wouldn't be capable of relationship. However, love requires choice. He desired a relationship with his creation and gave us free-will. If you're trying to suggest otherwise in your statement above because God is omnipotent, that is nonsensical.
-
Which, if left alone, will in all probability develop into a person just like you and me. You and no one else knows when life begins. It's human no matter what level of development it might be in. Hell....I've been told I still need to grow up.

How Do YOU Feel About The Possible Port Purchase and Why?
pajarito replied to boinky's topic in Speakers Corner
It's not absolute. A country has to protect its borders/ports/airways. -
I totally disagree. I was expressing the news of the gospels just like Jesus did. He gave an ultimatum. He spoke in no uncertain terms what is required for salvation. He said salvation only comes through faith in him and repentance of sin. I fully realize this is a stumbling block for most. Jesus made it clear that it would be. He said he didn’t come to destroy the law but to fulfill it. He said that he is the only way. People don’t want to accept this because it requires a radical change in one’s self. It requires a turn in the opposite direction from our worldly and ungodly nature (selfish pride). Most people would rather sacrifice an arm or their eye than give up that. Jesus said, however, to cut off one’s hand or pluck our one’s eye if it caused them to sin because it would be better than suffering in hell forever. I wouldn’t call that sugar-coating the subject so as not to offend people with the truth. The path to righteousness is narrow. I heard a cool word with regard to this not long back called one’s primary interpretive motif. It has to do with the central theme by which someone interprets scripture. For some, as your statement above leads me to believe, it is all about love (e.g. God is love, Jesus is love, he wouldn’t damn anyone to hell b/c he expressed his infinite love for us all). While it is absolutely true that God (Jesus) loves “all” of us and doesn’t wish that anyone should perish and said this many times in the scriptures, the central theme is salvation by grace through faith in Jesus. He is the way, the truth, and the life and no one comes to the father but through him. The wages of sin (breaking God’s moral law) is death. God loved us so much that he became the man of Jesus and paid our fine in full with an ultimate sacrifice. God is love and holy, however; he is also just. Our sins will be judged one day. A “just” judge must punish sin (just like if we break a law in our system of law). Judgment is exactly what we should tell non-believers because that is exactly what Jesus did and it is the most important thing they’re likely to hear. If you saw someone barreling down the road towards a bridge that was out, would you not try and warn them? I would. The problem is most do not know that they are on that path. If one is sick and everyone around them is also sick, you’re not likely to know that you’re sick. That’s where the law comes in. They’re not likely to want a cure until shown the symptoms of being sick in the first place. Paul said he didn’t know he’d broken the law until it was shown to him. Just telling people about love is very watered down and is a big reason for so many false conversions or people falling away from the faith.

Au contraire, God did give us all a path to walk. God’s moral law is spelled out in the 10 Commandments. You are correct that we have free-will and the intelligence to decide. Without that, there could not be true love and a relationship with our creator. You can either choose the path of righteousness which leads to God and eternal life or you can choose your own path of unrighteousness leading to hell and eternal damnation. If you think you are “good” on your own and don’t need any help, ask yourself if you’ve kept the 10 Commandments. I haven’t and I’m sure you haven’t either. The Bible says that no one has or can. God, however in his demonstration of love and ultimate sacrifice, provided a way.

How Do YOU Feel About The Possible Port Purchase and Why?

I'm all for a free market, however, I think certain things, such as our ports, should be U.S. owned no matter what. It just makes sense. -

Give them a few years. They'll have raspier voices, chronic cough & sinus infections, more facial wrinkles than normal, nicotine stained fingers to go with their bleach blonde club hair & fake boobs, and they'll still smell like an ashtray with bad breath. The O2 bottle with cart, difficulty breathing because their system can no longer compensate, inability to adequately absorb oxygen into the bloodstream either because emphysema or chronic bronchitis has developed, barrel chest & skinny with pinkish tinged skin or overweight & bluish skin due to poor tissue perfusion, poor circulation with hardening of the arteries, throwing blood clots to your lungs, heart, and brain, and being at much higher risk for just about everything in the book (e.g. stroke, heart attack, cancer) because of it will probably come later. All that because you want to look cool and fit in. Better get em while they're young. “Smoke em if you got em!”

The press is too busy worrying about really important things, like Cheny's hunting accident, to get all excited about things like weapons of mass destruction that Saddam secretly shipped to Syria, and threats of biochemical terrorism on Washington, D.C. You gotta get your priorities straight. There's so much truth to what you said. What a joke. Should be used to it all by now but it still pisses me off. I'll bet most of them were crying when they heard that there wouldn't be any charges filed. I'm sure they were prepped and ready to pounce.

Dick Cheney/ Quail Hunting/Our Vice President.

"I'd rather hunt with Dick Cheney than ride with Ted Kennedy ." -
He goes through that entire 2-segment video and spends about 1 minute total on the New Testament. He spends that remaining minute or so quickly throwing out the usual rhetoric of how he thinks it is mostly fictitious. You know, if it weren't for a very important witness to the authenticity of the Pentateuch, I'd probably be skeptical myself. However, Jesus testified to it, was subject to it as a Jew, and lived his life by it. Jesus proved his divinity. Therefore, that gives much credence to the first five books of the Old Testament which this guy spent all his time discrediting.

I think he probably needs to stay out of the woods. I don't have much sympathy for idiots with guns. Not saying he's an idiot otherwise. Just looks like he is with a gun.
