  1. No “new” information added, therefore, no possibility to be the catalyst for change into something else altogether. There is no evidence of mutation (even those that turn out to be beneficial for survival and propagation of a species) that develops the new genetic information which would be required for Neo-Darwinian evolutionary change. Mutation results in a varied form of a pre-existing gene (e.g. variation within a kind). Evolution needs something to increase the quantity and quality of genetic information. Neo-Darwinians use the mysterious idea to fill in the gaps that “billions of years” can account for any improbabilities. New genetic sentences would have to be written in order for one species to change (even slowly over billions of years) into another. This does not happen even in your example. There’s the magic... We have no evidence to support this but “billions of years” make it so it might have, probably did, could have, and maybe happened that way. “Fish to people” without evidence on how the mechanism of change “does” work (observable) at the most basic level doesn’t sound like good science to me. It sounds like faith in a theory.
  2. The notion that Christianity may have things in common with other major religions or even that their similarities might outweigh the differences is of no consequence. Which is the only one that offers payment for your lawlessness where the ultimate destination is hell? That is the most important thing to consider. The “feelings of goodness”, “peace of mind”, “good deeds performed”, “fellowship with others who think the way you do”, or whatever else one gets out of “religion” will matter not when it comes time for judgment. “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: Hebrews 9:27.” Which one, Buddhism, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, to name only a few, offers a path to salvation from the wrath to come?
  3. How could they all be true when they contradict each other. Does truth contradict itself? Every major religion in the world except Christianity teaches that you must do something or many things in order to earn your own righteousness or enlightenment. Christianity trumps all others by claiming that you can do nothing in this regard. Righteousness only comes through repentance and faith in the Savior. All other paths definitely lead somewhere but they do not lead to same place.
  4. Not only that. See attached.
  5. 23And the scripture was fulfilled that says, "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,"[a] and he was called God's friend. 24You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone. James 2:23-25 Only by the grace of God can you be justified by faith. Not by anything you have done or can do. You're not good enough which is proven when you look into the mirror of God's moral law. A good test to see if your faith is sincere is to examine your "works." This is why it is said that faith without works is dead. If the Holy Spirit is in you and you are "saved", the "works" of God will be apparent.
  6. He has. So have you. So have I. Comparison with the relative guilt of everyone else does not make his any less to an infinitely holy and just God. That would be like saying to the Judge, "I think you should let me go free because there are lots of other people who have also murdered."
  7. Ray Comfort is a very good author. However, he's just repeating what the Bible says and has already been taught by men such as Luther, Wesley, Spurgeon, Whitefield, etc.
  8. Take your pick... 1. Always keep God 1st in your life. 2. Don't create an idol of worship. 3. Don't take God's name in vain. 4. Keep the Sabbath holy. 5. Honor your Mother & Father. 6. Don't murder. 7. Don't commit adultery. 8. Don't steal. 9. Don't lie. 10. Don't covet.
  9. How will you account for your lawlessness. Anyone guilty of breaking God's moral law will not have eternal life and will be judged and sent to hell. You say that Islam is the religion of justice. How "just" would God be to not punish your transgression of the law? What can Islam do for you in this regard? Do you know with 100% certainty that you will go to heaven when you die? If so, is that reasonable?
  10. You are correct. It is irrefutably so. All they can do is continue denying the truth. Attachments are pure evil.
  11. It's easy to do when you're dealing with threads based on misguided hate. Let's put the shoe on the other foot. What would you think if some Muslim person in a chat room quoted something from Leviticus and then slammed Christianity as a cult of hate? Man I hope you guys don't get the holy war you're after. He would need to understand the context and difference between civil, ceremonial, and moral law of the Old Testament and their applicability. Big difference between Christianity and Islam.
  12. Bullshit, I've clearly shown that he is more then capable of evil, to the point that one might actually think that he is pure evil..... So you dont consider the massacre of over 2 million people whos deaths in the bible can be attributed directly to god, as evil!!!!!!!!!!! God’s anger is always righteous because he judges the heart. That sounds unreasonable to most because they are unaware of their sin and it’s exceedingly sinfulness towards a completely holy, just, infinite, and perfect God. All who are guilty of lying, stealing, committing adultery (looking with lust), blaspheming, hating (murder), committing idolatry, dishonoring parents, etc. will be judged. That includes every born again Christian. The only difference between the judgment in the Old Testament and now is that your judgment has been graciously delayed. You are guilty and will stand before the Judge. You are guilty because of willful disobedience of God’s moral law. If you go to hell, it will be because you sent yourself there. The punishment will be completely justified and you will have no excuse. Until you are born again (repent or turn away from your sin and trust in Jesus as your Savior becoming a new creature in Christ and make every effort to live according to His Word), you are not considered a child of God. In fact, the Bible makes it clear that you are a child of wrath who is storing up wrath for yourself on the Day of Judgment. All this argument over religion is ridiculous. We all better forget about all the formalities of religion, whether we think we can account for our own lawlessness, and whether we think we are good enough to put ourselves right with God. Forget about religion! Study your conscience!
  13. I've heard that also holds true for most liberal college professors.
  14. No. The basic philosophy of Christianity is to "love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and, love your neighbor as yourself." Sums up the 10 Commandments. Have you done that? If not (all fall short of the glory of God), Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me. If you died in the next minute, where would you spend eternity? Do you know for sure?
  15. Why do you care? It's about mind control: Hairyjuan thinks he can just make a statement, post a link, and it will suddenly change all of your spiritual beliefs right away. He is persistent.
  16. Once again, hairyjuan proves that the mind is a terrible thing to waste. Luke 19:27 comes from the Parable of the Ten Minas. No one verse alone should be used to derive a mindset. The thoughtful, wise, and prudent person will take context and intent into consideration.
  17. Which one of the approximate 40 authors over the course of 1500 years was misguided, duped, manipulative, or lying? 18. How are you going to save yourself? By the way, when are you heading off to Africa to save those people you know are going to die?
  19. I don't like her that much. I think she's arrogant, loud, condescending, and not always right but I like her skirts. I always think she's about to do a "basic instinct" on national TV.
  20. Reason does apply. He made it clear through the Bible that he wants us to reason. Our reason just isn’t always necessarily God’s reason. He created "your" ability to reason. His reason is part of himself and he's always existed.
